There is no other singer who I so absolutely believe what she sings.
    Dany doesn't sing a song.
    She becomes the song!

This is Danys song, it originally was not going to be on the album, according to one of their vlogs she had been writing this song for a long time and was learning how to produce using pro-tools by adding instruments as she went along, 7 demos later she brought to her sisters and they were blown away! She was very happy with the outcome and loves when fans react to this song in such a positive manner!

The lyrics is one of the unbelievable strengths of this band. They are so original. People try to figure out who they sound like. They sound like no other band. Every song is one onto its own. Some of my favorite bands, you know exactly who the band is in the first few notes of almost any song they play. Not the Warning. They have no set sound to any one song. They are so original. Their talent seems endless. If the songs they have created in the past is any indication of what’s to come in the future. It will be totally original and one unto their selves. Someday you will be saying that a certain band or another gets their influences by a band called the warning. We are all so fortunate to have found a band with this kind of talent. Thank you for your reaction. With the help of people like you and so many others, this band will be a household name in the not so distant future. So one more time, thank you and every person who shines a light on this band.⚡️🤘

I think over a period of time we will be able to identify certain stylistic elements as belonging to them, even if the albums differ. E.g., Rush's albums varied a lot, especially over the first 20 years but you could still identify Rush as Rush so to speak.

@@kevinmcfarlane2752 Hi, I think that today it's possible to make that distinction, for example right now I'm listening a concert of 2018 and the sound of the instruments and the vocals are wide different from the the venues in late 2018 and in whole 2019, mainly because the instruments and the maturity of the group, It's amazing listen to them in this transition.

Great analysis! The way Dany sings this, she sounds like she is crying, begging and screaming to her love all at once, in her head. Dany wrote this at 17-18 years old. It is a good story about that freshman you talked about. But, also realize Dany and her sisters went to an all girls school, so it adds to the brilliance of her insight into this character. As you go through the album, it will astound you how good this album really is.

Refer to the album in any way you wish. The important thing is that it is an album filled with great songs. The fact that the songs tell a story when played in order is a bonus, but the songs are great on their own. I simply call it a concept album and am perfectly satisfied with that description.

  • @saturnracer156

I think one major key to these girls' success is their ability to relay a feeling. When they talked about making this album, they said they were not satisfied until every moment, every vocal, every sound invoked the feeling that they wanted it to invoke. This was the first song that Dany wrote all by herself. Typically, they all write their songs together. One will come up with an idea, or start a song, then the other two will help her finish it. Dany did this one on her own, then showed it to her sisters when it was essentially done.
You spoke of their ages. The thing is, they were 18, 16, and 13 at the time of this performance, and when they recorded the album. They had been working on the album for about 2 years (at least) before they recorded it. I'm not sure exactly when Dany wrote Crimson queen, but probably when she was somewhere around 17 or 18.
I enjoy your reaction and analysis. I appreciate the fact that you actually put some though into it.

Dany acts out this album as much as she plays it. I have never really been interested in lyrics before since they are usually so vapid. That all changed with The Warning.

I've been more of a lyrics person, however, I also love the music accompanying them. Thing is, The Warning have something that melds both into something different than other bands, in my opinion.
Been a Metallica fan since mid teens. Their music is mostly epic and sweeping. Their lyrics are grand as well, however, some times they're a bit odd, and off the mark. They were my number one favorite band since just after high school, some two decades ago. Now? At the turn of this decade, I found The Warning. Didn't even realize the new year had come into being as I consumed Dust to Dust over and over again. From an hour or so from midnight, past an hour and a half afterwards; I hadn't even realized the new year had happened I was so glued into Dust to Dust. Terrified the other songs wouldn't be as great, because I read Dany is really their lead singer. It took me a few days to start seeking out their other stuff. I was hooked! Still am.
Metallica were still my fav band, however, after their Foro Didi concert came to RUclips, and I found the story of Queen of the Murder Scene, plus their other works, The Warning showed me something more than Metallica has been able to do for the last two decades. One of their influences is Metallica, and maybe this had a hand in making something new, but similar.
The Warning surpasses Metallica's current work, thus I found myself gravitating closer and closer, hence The Warning is now my favorite band. Their lyrics and music merge into each other so well, it's as though Metallica had a child...in my mind, and this child is more attuned to their senses. Their lyrics flow with the music better than other bands for me. The Warning have been getting the most attention for way over half a year, but I am still a big fan of other bands as well. But I always find myself venturing back...!

I love how Dany completely immerses herself in the song, She’s living the song and it becomes totally believable! I saw Her do this at The Whisky, you could hear a pin drop while She was performing and the audience were totally captivated 🤩 Of course She received a rapturous applause, and deservedly so 👌

It's the right age for a young female to go through that.
But what it does to her (you'll see in the continuation of the album) is not something a regular person goes through.

I think you are going to be amazed by how this album unfolds and how each song becomes better and better as the tension builds.

One of the best analysis of lyrics and feel of the song. I look forward to following your next one and have watched you with other reactions to other bands as well. Good job. Since you are doing Lunario, if no one else has told you, keep in mind they had altitude issues with Dany's breathing and it makes the fact that she can get it all out a little more impressive. I am a singer as well with a bit of asthma and I can tell you it does make you fall a little short of the note sometimes and is very difficult when you can't get enough breath behind it.

    • @TheBassPlayer

    Great review
There’s plenty of covers, acoustic versions and live performances of their previous albums for you to navigate around and still stick to the Queen of the Murder Scene path of discovery. Going through their 6 year catalog of work can keep you entertained and learning about the young ladies.
If Alé is playing a Spector bass, she’s 14 or older. Fender Mustangs & Precision’s previously with a Gibson in their videos. Dany was using the Spearfish’s exclusively after she was 18.
Pau’s drum set never seems to appear more than a few shows. Likely due to them constantly getting hit by a Mack Truck.
