Greatness and specialty of Sivaji Ganesan was that he know his strength and capability at the same time he also knew other legends' talent and capability of his time so he respected them to do their job without his interference and let them work without any pressure and conditions, this is why most of his songs are immortal and referred every forum than any other actors songs! Also he had a strong confidence, capability and versatility to act and give life for any kind of songs or characters. After watched Sivaji's acting for this song MSV ran in to Sivaji's house and expressed his happiness and tightly hugged Sivaji Ganesan. It was Golden era of Tamil Cinema! We miss them lot!

This is one of the gems composed by MSV and TKR. Santhosh excellent singing. Venkat, Sundaresan and Bhairavi did an excellent job. Siva very nice editing. Shyam amazing performance, programming and arrangements.

Just like even a Full Moon getting eclipsed under a momentary Dark Cloud for sometime, the grandness of this fabulous composition created by the Great team of MSV-TKR Kannadasan TMS got eclipsed by a supreme, stylish performance of Sivaji GaNesan which stays engraved in our hearts. As today the focus of our ears remained centred fully on the audio dimension of this Timeless Composition, for a while, our ears overtook our eyes, just sliding Sivaji Ganesan's performance to the Back (deliberately) and peeped into the Beauty of the tune & orchestration that convey the sober feelings - mellowing down into our heart inch by inch just like a Filter Coffee - thru the sweet sounds of Guitar, Sarangi, Violins, Piano / Santoor along with the gentle beats on the Bangos. Impressive Orchestration and Commendable Singing (of course, sliding TMS's voice from our mind for a while). I was expecting to hear that additional stanza too which's available in the Original Sound Track. QFR Fever continues - gripping the Listeners tightly.

QFR team has resplendentally recreated the timeless song. Before and after hearing the performance above, i re-heard the original song from the film itself. Shivaji Ganesan just simply gave, nay, gives a 'poignant, ethereal and surrealistic' live dimension to the song. The existential pathos is captured by the gait and the smoke. One could see a dynamic seamless convergence of surrealism and style in the acting of Shivaji Ganesan. Modern day so-called
'Natural actors' are light-years behind Shivaji Ganesan.
As a subtle contrast to the above, i recommend 'Ethanai Azhagu Kotti Kidakkathu' song in 'Sivakamiyin Selvan' wherein the legend Shivaji Ganesan 'naturally' and 'effortlessly' portrays, nay, lives 'sensousness' which even Roger Moore or Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnon could not day-dream of doing in their 'James Bond' films.

Start of the charanam and the தெய்வமே segment என்ன feel குடுத்து பாடுறீங்க சந்தோஷ்... How can you sing songs like this one side and மனசு ரெண்டும் பார்க்க types on the other ... What a versatility santhosh... Sheer brilliance. சுந்தரேசன் sir 🙏 என்ன strings அப்படி அனுபவ பூர்வம்.... Both charanam opening lines that parallel playing அய்யோ அம்சமாக இருந்தது. That repeat signature tune, அதற்கு மேலே அழகு. சரணம் second lines. இல் அவர் ரசித்து புருவம் சுருக்கி லயித்து வாசித்தது அழகோ அழகு. Bass lines ஒரு தனி அழகு. Just in one word. FANTASTIC. Kudos to QFR team. I am 68 years old. Saw the movie when I was about 12 years old. I was awed and smitten by this great masterpiece THEN, and NOW by the QFR team performance . Santosh and Sunderesan did great justice to the original. Keep it up.
