I just fixed the main lights in my cluster and when I put it all back together, everything worked fine except the ship needle is in first gear and when I shift the shifting lever it stays in first gear, but the car works and drives, so could that Loop have came off the hook for the shift indicator?… I haven’t looked under the dashboard yet to See if the loop head came off the hook.

What? Of course it is….. if the part is broken, and doesnt work. Then, you change the broken part and it works. That’s a fix, or repair….. the shops wouldn’t even waste their time taking it apart and repairing it. They would make you replace the whole cluster. You’re welcome for the info.
