Maybe they want to count sales with the rest of the gas models. Ford is always number one in sales by model because they include all the F series together. If GM combined Silverado and Sierra they would be number one. Ford outsmarted them on stats by keeping it all one brand.
This thing is still a HUMMER EV underneath, a monumental waste of material rescorces, time, money and an expense on the collective intelligence of people. An EV/PHEV light pickup truck is all that's needed, like the Ford Maverick that Toyota is too dumb build.

If you just need a work truck, some 3 year old used trucks have drastically reduced in price compared to new. You can purchase a new entry level trim truck, from a maverick to a silverado HD to an ev truck. No one is forcing you to buy an ev truck with a state of the art infotainment screen, an off road trim, and a truck that can out perform some super cars from the decade ago at a 0 to 60.

That BYOU (the Chinese EV maker) their electric SUV has a range extender, and you get up to 600 miles! They should make something similar (at least for right now during this transitional period). People feel more comfortable when they can put gas in their electric hybrid car. Plus one EV worth of batteries can make three highbred plug-ins. The Chevy Volt technology was ahead of his time, they just messed up on the marketing And it’s too bad they ended it.

GM will find this out when they ship these things to dealers who will then turn around and send them back or request not to get any of the electric trucks because, NO ONE IS BUYING THEM! The new vehicles have radar sensors and cameras all around and will alert the driver if something or someone is in the way. I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee and when my neighbor's dog came running over to greet me when I got home my Jeep was warning me on all four corners as he ran around the vehicle, and that's 10 year old tech. Hopefully it has improved even more since then.

Mine came with the 3.0 diesel engine that is an engineering disaster. My extended warranty has paid $22K in repairs to date, all of which were mechanical issues. Warranty runs out in October, getting rid of it the day before. It stinks as it's a nice vehicle, gets great fuel economy and drives great, but over engineering, cost cutting like plastic engine parts and lackadaisical quality control means it has to go.
It really is a shame that GM is doing away with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. I am heavy user of Apple CarPlay. Granted I don't see myself going electric anytime soon as it is not practical in rural Texas but still!

My 2022 Tesla X gets 2.9 miles per Kw which costs about 10 cents per mile at a Supercharger.
