      Maybe they want to count sales with the rest of the gas models. Ford is always number one in sales by model because they include all the F series together. If GM combined Silverado and Sierra they would be number one. Ford outsmarted them on stats by keeping it all one brand.

      Hate to point you out. Trucks have gotten more expensive, yet there is a s it load of variety nowadays. If you just need a work truck, some 3 year old used trucks have drastically reduced in price compared to new. You can purchase a new entry level trim truck, from a maverick to a silverado HD to an ev truck. No one is forcing you to buy an ev truck with a state of the art infotainment screen, an off road trim, and a truck that can out perform some super cars from the decade ago at a 0 to 60.

      @@jostrander71well then your on their boat and you ain't going nowhere are you? But savvy consumers see a overpriced piece of crap that won't last half as long as a regular Silverado but costs even more. Batteries won't even hold half their charge in 5 years so your range will be cut in half or worse but yeah go ahead and spend 100,000 dollars. That's smart🤓

    • @jostrander71
      @jostrander71 4 месяца назад

      @yungceize How do you know a Silverado ev won't last? They are not even out but a few months. Tesla has cars from 2012 driving around. Just because you hate evs doesn't mean they won't last. 100k is the top trim. 50k will be available eventually maybe even less but all trucks today are expensive.

    I knew legacy manufactures can make better cars than Tesla!
    It’s too bad they don’t come out with the Chevy Volt version of this. Smaller battery with a gas power range extender.
    That BYOU (the Chinese EV maker) their electric SUV has a range extender, and you get up to 600 miles!
    They should make something similar (at least for right now during this transitional period). People feel more comfortable when they can put gas in their electric hybrid car. Plus one EV worth of batteries can make three highbred plug-ins.
    The Chevy Volt technology was ahead of his time, they just messed up on the marketing And it’s too bad they ended it.

    Its a piece of crap electric toy. This is not being done for the customer. The customer wants a new truck not an oversized electric razor. GM will find this out when they ship these things to dealers who will then turn around and send them back or request not to get any of the electric trucks because, NO ONE IS BUYING THEM! Seems like a pretty important thing to overlook as a business the whole "nobody wants this" factor. But i guess GM will just get bailed out by the same government they're trying to satisfy with this electric truck garbage. My current truck is a Chevy Silverado but my next truck will DEFINITELY be a Toyota Tundra. Chevy has lost me as a customer.

    Better looking than a Lightning, but still answering a question very few are asking. At $96K, they will sell by the tens.

      The new vehicles have radar sensors and cameras all around and will alert the driver if something or someone is in the way. I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee and when my neighbor's dog came running over to greet me when I got home my Jeep was warning me on all four corners as he ran around the vehicle, and that's 10 year old tech. Hopefully it has improved even more since then.

      @@mikelemoine4267 Yeah, how many THOUSANDS of extra dollars did your Jeep cost because of those sensors? And you know, electronics never fail right?

    • @mikelemoine4267

      @@bikebudha01 I'm sure they added some expense (buried in the options package) but if I'm being honest those are the only thing I've NOT had issues with on this POS. Mine came with the 3.0 diesel engine that is an engineering disaster. My extended warranty has paid $22K in repairs to date, all of which were mechanical issues. Warranty runs out in October, getting rid of it the day before. It stinks as it's a nice vehicle, gets great fuel economy and drives great, but over engineering, cost cutting like plastic engine parts and lackadaisical quality control means it has to go.
