I understood Honey completely because she wanted to be comfortable and she had never used heels before...But in this one, Mom was also right, as the high heels, even if they are not that high, adds elegance to the overall look (besides, these dresses are made to be used with heels: if you don't use them, the dress would drag all over the floor and get dirty faster). This is something that I also went through with my Quinces, because I was scared of using heels, but i looked for a shoe and heel that I was comfortable with, and practiced before hand with them. I loved the sneakers her dad bought, however, she could have used them later on the party, when the 'protocolary' part ended.

It’s something I’ve been scared about in the future because by boyfriend(who I’ve been with for three years now) is Mexican and I’m Chinese. I get scared that my child will have identity issues or feel excluded because of the different cultures. I just want to spew a bit about my failure of a quince. So a few years before my quince my family was asking if I wanted one. I of course being the awkward child that I was was saying I don’t know. But about 2-1 years before I decided that I wanted one. I was thinking about how I would get to wear a big dress and really pretty heels. And I was exited to help decorate and to have all my family over. My sister and mom started to make a list of people we have to invite and I even had people offering to help. I was getting super exited and was about to go look for a dress. But then my family had a huge fight and my dad and mom had to start paying for all the bills my aunt had been hiding. We had barley enough money to eat and we didn’t have any money to set aside. I stopped talking to all of my family and only left the house when I went to school or sometimes I went to the store with my brother. Needless to say the quince that I had grown to love even before it happens was thrown to the curve. Instead for my birthday I got to sit in an empty house with a table and eat cheesecake. The one thing that I was super appreciative for was the fact that some of my family came and celebrated my birthday with me. Now whenever I hear about my cousins having a quince I feel happy for them, but I feel sad that I never got one.

I can't believe this very young lady is just 14 here!! She is very mature for her age. And such a beautiful young lady. I imagine she has turned into a unique, smart, and thoughtful young adult since it's been 4 years. I love her dress, and I love how she let mom partner the experience with her since she wasn't able to have one herself! This is a great loving family, I hope they are doing well. Honey will be successful in anything she does, it's obvious she has a good head on her shoulders and great parents and family to back her up when needed.

I’m glad they had someone with a mixed heritage on this show. It’s something I’ve been scared about in the future because by boyfriend(who I’ve been with for three years now) is Mexican and I’m Chinese. I get scared that my child will have identity issues or feel excluded because of the different cultures. I’m very happy to see that Honey is embracing both her cultures and bringing her two sides of the family together.

I just want to spew a bit about my failure of a quince. So a few years before my quince my family was asking if I wanted one. I of course being the awkward child that I was was saying I don’t know. But about 2-1 years before I decided that I wanted one. I was thinking about how I would get to wear a big dress and really pretty heels. And I was exited to help decorate and to have all my family over. My sister and mom started to make a list of people we have to invite and I even had people offering to help. I was getting super exited and was about to go look for a dress. But then my family had a huge fight and my dad and mom had to start paying for all the bills my aunt had been hiding. We had barley enough money to eat and we didn’t have any money to set aside. I stopped talking to all of my family and only left the house when I went to school or sometimes I went to the store with my brother. Needless to say the quince that I had grown to love even before it happens was thrown to the curve. Instead for my birthday I got to sit in an empty house with a table and eat cheesecake. The one thing that I was super appreciative for was the fact that some of my family came and celebrated my birthday with me. Now whenever I hear about my cousins having a quince I feel happy for them, but I feel sad that I never got one.
