      I know it's kinda late but MicroLED has 2ns latency which is around 15 thousand times less than the current fastest display tech (OLED). Basically, this TV does not have latency, at all.@@benjiebarker

    Would be interesting how this pans out in the future for pricing. Would love to see this in the 10k price range one day. I love my OLED TV. If I could get that on a 150" screen. I'd be a happy camper.
    Hard to swallow that price compared to buying a JVC for still less and getting good deep blacks.

    Amazing Big Screen

  • @matthewpaul01
    @matthewpaul01 8 месяцев назад +16

    The only possible downside to this is will the individual screens get out of sync with color and brightness over time. I work in IT and have set up and seen many conference rooms set up like this with multiple screens together to make a large screen. Eventually, one screen will get darker than another or the colors will be off, then it becomes pretty noticeable that the screen is made up of multiple screens.

    Everyone loves to concentrate on brightness, with the introduction of HDR that's now the driving force behind most TV purchases. However, the problem I've always had with that is it makes the image look like video, high end video yes but that's not what I'm after.
    I will always stick with projectors because they deliver an incredible image that isn't blindingly bright and, more importantly (to me at least), gives you a more film-like image.
    This TV, while massive, is far too expensive and will present the same issues that I never liked about most TV's now.
    Lastly, if you have the space to accommodate such size, you can go far beyond 146" with a good projector, I'm talking 300", and get an amazing image.
    Save your money, go with a good high end projector.

    Seems like most industry experts predict we'll be seeing MicroLED hitting shelves at retailers (Best Buy, etc.) by 2025 and being "affordable" by 2027. While I love my OLEDs, I'm really excited to get one of these in my house!

    • @kadajawi2
      @kadajawi2 10 месяцев назад +2

      Do they? The production of these is incredibly labour intensive and defects are common, driving up prices even more. They need to produce 24 million LEDs per TV, test and sort them, then place them one by one. Yes maybe with RGB LEDs that number is reduced, but getting them to match up is even harder. While with OLED and LCDs the production process is fast and easy to scale, with microLEDs it isn't at all. By the time these are feasible we'll already have QDED screens, which offer much of what microLED can, but at a fraction of the cost. The only place where I see microLED as viable is at very large screens, like commercial ones or cinemas. That's another thing... microLED gets more expensive to produce the smaller it gets, while it is relatively cheap to produce huge microLED screens (which with other tech is getting extremely expensive).

    This is a great product but obviously really expensive. I think projectors and screens will still be preferred for theater rooms for many years since you can easily upgrade the projector over time; whereas upgrading this Wall would be super expensive. However, if you have lots of money, why not get a theater room with a projector and put one of these in your living room :-)

    • @loki76
      @loki76 10 месяцев назад +3

      There is really no need to upgrade this "Wall". It will always be brighter than a projector. Full 4K and pure blacks, rich colors etc. The only thing would be if it breaks. But it's modular so technically you only need to replace the module that fails.
      This TV would still be amazing 10 years from now. It's basically OLED but in organic so no burn in etc. It will be great as long as it lasts.
      Projectors, not so much since they improve over the years. But they will not reach this level, likely ever.

    • @kadajawi2
      @kadajawi2 10 месяцев назад +1
