Lets start with the negatives. You can't sync the two oscillators. MVCO out and MVCO sync In, but no VCO out, which seems a bit daft. You can kinda do it using the mix output, then patching back into the utility mixer and back into the filter/folder, but that just seems a bit cumbersome. The frequency range on the 2nd oscillator is a lot lower than the 1st. I'd have preferred both to have the same range to be honest, but I get they were thinking the 2nd oscillator is more of an LFO that tracks 1v/oct. Would have made more sense to have VCO sync in instead? The wave folder is pretty angry (certainly the angriest I've come across). It can go from pleasing to ouch pretty quickly! For some people that might be desirable, but I think I'd prefer a little bit more subtlety at the melodic end. Not really a deal breaker, just personal preference! The envelopes are pretty basic. Having one that was an AR would have been nice, but I guess that it's a space constraint problem. Unlike all the other synths in the line up, you can finally break the normalled connection between the EG and the VCA, which is awesome. I find myself reaching for maths quite a lot, just to replace the envelopes with something a bit more befitting of a west coast synth. I really like the noise source (boring I know, but that is one of the highlights for me). The sequencers are ace - definitely the best thing about it. The filter is unlike any other Moog filter I've used before. Really screamy, and not your classic 24db filter. It's amazing at making kick drums. As with any west coast synth, it's a little trickier to get in tune than the others (it would have been way easier if you could use the Sync, or if you had two waveform outputs per oscilattor). It's not a Buchla 259. An Instruo CS-L is about the same price, and has a hell of a lot more tonal range in it. However, on balance, I quite like it. I like it that much, that I've ordered a second one....
Rob, I gotta say you're just my favourite youtuber. Synths make my life and you actually make a great musical cohesion, unlike most modular overviews or performances on youtube. I'm tired as hell, but I felt I should share.

I grew up listening to a lot of Beatles, led zeppelin, pink Floyd and the like. Got heavily into grunge, then metal, a bit of jazz on occasion, some minimal stuff (Phillip glass). I do love a bit of minimal techno though ;)
Any first impressions on the Labyrinth?

Thank you for getting me through the drive home during the late shift, brother.
Liked the slightly different angle you used here too, as it makes it easier to see a bit more of it all.
(Nice beer choice too!)
Divine and just what I needed today. Thank you!
Amazing

Balter XPA. A wise choice!
That’s a sick sequence, somewhere between Radiohead and Beethoven. Amazing
That's just the Moog Labyrinth doing it's thing....
It’s a keeper

I'm curious. What do you listen to outside of electronic music? Apologies if you've mentioned previously.
