    I bought the same bike for racing, its fully race ready now. I did the break in period a little differently, because they tell you to run at varying rpms for the first however many miles, I took it straight to the track, first time I rode it was down the pit, and just changed fluids every day until 800 miles and now I just change oil every 400 track miles

      Good info, thanks! I’m about 300 now and running the r6 a little over 50% rage! I feel good about how solid and reliable this engine is. I’m going open her up sooner than later change the oil then run hard. I will be ready for my next track day!

    Congrats on the bike - and I am super glad that I found your channel as I literarily was considering this bike and the ducati V4 base, and you (judgining from the v4 zero mod video) have both!! how do you feel about the 2? I'm looking to upgrade my track bike and see good things on both, but having own them, if you could give me some of your thoughts I'd appreciate it.

    • @tebuchenself2882
      @tebuchenself2882  11 месяцев назад +1

      JSweec: Man, that's a tough question to answer but really, it all depends on you, what you intend to use the bike for, your budget, etc. There is no perfect bike and that's why I've decided to hold on to as many as I can. Every bike that I've owned does something different for me than the others. Both of these bikes are awesome in their own right and if you had to chose, I'd say go with the one that pulls at your heart strings the most. The one that will make you just peek into your garage and stare at it and you find yourself smiling without knowing you are. I know this answer is very abstract, but these bikes are very different and I love them both for what they are, to include their faults.

    • @JSweec
      @JSweec 11 месяцев назад

      @@tebuchenself2882 appreciate the reply! and I gotta say both bikes have their own appeal, that's what makes it so hard haha. I currently ride a 959 on track, and it's been solid, but you hear all these magical things said about the new V4 which really makes me wanna try, I know it'll be way more capable than I am, but my thought is that a more capable bike, together with advanced unobtrusive electronics, will probably enrich the track day experience more than a relatively more basic bike (same reason you buy good capable tires). Any thoughts on the R6's electronics and their demeanor on track? do you just pull the ABS? how's the TC? how are the stock brakes? not sure if you've had the chance to track it yet, thanks man!

      @@JSweec : Bro! You ask such great questions. My main track bike is a ‘17 panigale 1299 and it is bonkers! I have also tracked a ‘17 BMW S1000RR on the same track (sold; yes I regret), switching between the two bikes and alternating track days. I am faster on the BMW cuz everything you hear about it is true and at that time the electronics were superior compared to the 1299. But, the BMW felt so “vanilla”. The 1299, on the other hand, felt wild so I had more fun on it even though slower. On track, when you got the lines right the 1299 rewarded you with straight bliss. You get them wrong the recovery margin was almost unattainable whereas, on the Beems you have room. I love the electronics on these bikes cuz they make me faster on track. I was so far behind, I had to improve my skills to have the electronics intervene then dial them down. I have a V4 yes and magical it is. It will be tracked someday but not yet. For me, I wanted a bike that was renowned for its track focus but not for its electronics. So, my journey toward track day bliss is multifaceted. I am absolutely certain that right now me on my V4 would blast me on my R6 on most big tracks. But, how would it feel if you were faster on an R6 than a V4? I have seen it and that is my quest...I plan my 1st track day on the R6 at COTA in September. The R6 will have all the upgrades in the vid plus a sprint air filter so, we shall see! I know it will need better brakes in this tx heat but again, we shall see!

      @@tebuchenself2882 thanks for sharing! yeah I’ll definitely keep an eye out for your future videos on the R6 post mods. and yeah I know exactly what you mean with the R6 being track focused without too much electronic help. I’m going to california super bike school this September and will use their s1k so it’ll be a test ride of sorts haha, always liked my r9t as an in town bobaround but not sure if I’d want that vanilla feel in a track bike. anyways thanks for sharing dude and just in typing out my thoughts here today helped me decide on the v4, since I care more about having fun on track and the theatre that bike brings. keep up the good works and look fwd to seeing the channel grow!!

      Yeah, I agree! For now it will be prepped for track use but I am understanding that I have to consider making it street legal. Especially, if I’m going to sell it later. This bike is too good and so much fun to ride so, we shall see

      Congratulations!!! I have to say if I had a 2020 R6 like yours in my area at the time of my quest I would have got the one you have. I have been learning as I have been riding that this bike needs more attention. Great buy! The R6 is a bad ass bike!!!
