How do you close the paper tray when it is empty. I have been trying for the past 40 minutes to close the damn tray but it snaps halfway and never goes in fully.
my 179fnw Always paper jam printing on 160-220gsm paper, although on the spesicifation listed it support paper thickness up to 220gsm. i have to a litle bit "curl up" the front side of the paper one by one, please fixt the paper handling mechanism of this printer

@@HPSupport these instructions doesn't help anyway; the only way to remove the rolled paper from the upper drum is to use a small pincet and tore the paper apart in small pieces; the printer is still rolling every sheet in color print mode, but a monochrome print goes

If one can see paper when looking under the scanner assembly/top cover but nowhere else, how does one actually get it out? There is nowhere to pull from. The video finds no paper there and makes it look easy.
@@HPSupport Having same problem with MFP 178nw. Opened back of machine pulled out what paper I could and now bits firmly stuck. The instructions you gave are no use for this.

This is a terrible printer. Only had it 3 months and I am constantly trying to pick out the paper. It keeps getting jammed around the top roller and I can't get it out.... brand new... how can it have such a repeated problem. It looks like the whole top half of the printer will need removing to get to the paper. I have followed all your instructions and it doesn't deal with this....unhappy customer...

Far from real paper jams you may encounter, which are really hard to fix, as there's no proper way to really open the printer to access them.
