ABOUT Visian ICL™
The Visian ICL™ (Implantable Collamer Lens) is an additive technology that corrects common vision problems, such as nearsightedness and astigmatism.
Unlike contact lenses that go on the surface of the eye, the Visian ICL™ is positioned inside the eye between the iris (the colored part of the eye) and the natural lens where it stays for permanent vision correction.
For peace of mind, the Visian ICL™ can also be removed, if needed or desired. This procedure may be an excellent choice for patients that may have been told they were not candidates for LASIK or other laser vision correction procedures that permanently remove corneal tissue to correct vision.
