Zach Brown I never understood it when I was younger. I guess I only watched it because it was colorful and a cartoon but understanding the show now I do feel bad about not appreciating it back then as well
In an interview he (Brandon) said his only regret was he did not use/develop the Dewayne character more. Small wrote all the music for the show Home Movies, and released all the songs he had written for the show on the Home Movies CD . He had a band called Dethklo of which some vids ca be found.
That's basically what happened. They had an outline of what was happening in the scene but they'd improvise most of the dialogue. That's why there's so many awkward pauses and "ummmm"s and stuff like that.
Yea it’s called ad-libbing and it’s a common thing for comedies since they rely on like the specific actors(VA or otherwise) to deliver the lines in a funny way. Tough job
This was one if my favorite episodes, especially the song they made, freaky outie, and I just realized John H Benjamin, is doing the voice of Jimmy monaie,
AH I stumbled upon this video this was a funny episode. It amazes me how I still quote this show or talk like Brenden and Jason how they are talking to Melissa. "MELISSA...." 1:26 LOL. god what a wonderful show.
I'm quite disappointed that I did not comment on this video in 2007. I was leaving quote-comments on all the Home Movies videos around that time. Anyway, now will do too.
cloud maker lol I know that now I remember watching this when I was younger but then I wasn’t sure if it was real or not or if I actually watched it 😂 idk it’s weird
@Car Ram-Rod how? This show's energy is at a 3 max, bobs burgers is always high energy and goes for weird quirky humor. Home movies is matter of fact, realistic, and akward. No music or big sound effects, everything calm and consistent.
“well i’m just f**ked every which way” i feel terrible for never appreciating this show when i was younger

Dwayne is a mixture of Slash from Guns And Roses and Joey Ramone.
I did back in the day and do even more now.
looking back as a guitarist, dwayne truly was a virtuoso who was sort of downplayed as some stereotypical metalhead
Jimmy is a trap lmfao

It's amazing how good the animation for the guitar playing like how accurate it is.
I would have loved to see Jason become an insane bass player by the end of the episode.

Harry Blum multi-dimensional chess is normal chess lol
The “We can do it” bit was hilarious
