Great info. One question I have is about multiple locations. I'm a professional entertainer working out of a home office. I worked my GMB for years and have pretty good local rankings in the city where I live. However, I also travel and work events in a handful of large cities within a few hours of where I live, and would like to show up there as a "local" business as well. Is the best that I can do is to add those cities as "Service Areas," or should I set up different GMB listings for each city (if that's even possible)?

How is it different than Business Profile? I get the listing on the right in my account and it says "Business Profile Manager" and I have my business and my customer's businesses there. I don't see a difference between "Google My Business" and "Business Profile Manager" in my Google account... can you explain? This just seems like standard "local seo."

My bigger concern is for legitimate 5star reviews from happy customers that have been removed from public view. I say 'removed from public view' rather than deleted as the customer still sees the review. I have 3 reviews (if you wish to see them). I see no policy violation in any of them. Google response was 'from time to time the system deletes real reviews, deleted reviews can not be reinstated' BUT they have not been deleted, only removed form public view. Google servers still hold the data on their servers against the customers account. This surely is a breach of GDPR - I have asked for the information and they say it has been deleted, but it has not. There are potentially other customers (other than the 3 I have found) who have left reviews and may well be saying 'this guy never said thanks for the review'. Secondly, I'm down on the number of reviews - which disadvantages my business against my competitors. Some very satisfied customers may not have or want to create a google account OR while satisfied and happy, just don't want to leave a review. So I don't feel it is appropriate to start contacting every customer and ask "did you leave me a review?" Are you aware of this and can you do anything about it?
Hi, I want to add multiple pin locations of my delivery business on Google maps, so my business name will show up as a pin on Google maps when a search word is entered by a customer while searching in Maps. I see many delivery businesses use the same name and contact information on multiple listings in very close proximity, ex: 3 in the same block. And many more within a 100km radius of the same business. How are they able to add so many pin locations without getting removed? Is it simple as just using the 'add a missing place' option? Also, these are locations that are not verified because the listing has the option to 'claim this business'. They just have a name, phone number, and website. They don't even have a picture. I successfully added a bunch of business locations on the map by adding a missing place, but a few days later they all got removed and since then I can't add any new locations, even using different Google accounts don't work, and changing the name and category of the business doesn't work either. Is it possible Google has blocked my ip from adding new locations on Maps from now on? What can I do to be able to add missing places again? I don't want to verify a business address. Thank you.

It's just a search algorithm, nobody's pulling wires manually deciding what they're gonna show for each search :)

You can, and its still a good idea if people search for your business by name because of the sidebar listing that will display in search results.
