To clear this up for those who don't know, The composer of the Budokai 3 soundtrack, Kenji Yamamoto, was accused of plagiarism after Toei Animation discovered that many of his soundtracks had possible third party copyright infringements, so they fired him and replaced all his soundtracks that they could. (He also composed the soundtrack for Dragon Ball Kai).In the Budokai HD collection, (which included Budokai 3), the inside buu theme and all the other original soundtracks were replaced. Since this theme from x men legends and the inside buu theme sound similar, it seems likely that this could have been one of the soundtracks that was infringed upon.
yea unfortunately for me, I'm the new generation that got Budokai 3 game, but freaking Ultimate Tenkaichi music XD I can't complain tho. Just glad I was able to listen to the original B3
@@Lightpaladin720 Apparently the Tower of Power themes were actually legit, as that group apparently helped make the tracks that were used in the Budokai games.
When I played both Budokai 3 and X-Men legends, I lost my mind that songs in both games that had a similar melody. This explains why Kenji Yamamoto got fired from Toei, he also plagiarizes two songs from the newest film in 2009.
+rpg god dude. It plagerized. The Budokai music creator had plagerized a lot of songs for Budokai, Raging Blast 2 and Dragon Ball Kai. That's why he was fired.
X-Men Legends came first then Budokai. Remember, Yamamoto has been plagiarizing songs since the beginning of Z, he mostly took songs from many Western artist and pass it off as his own tracks for a Japanese anime.
@@TommyAngelo1337 I'd say ttk is roughly equal against Non-Sentinel enemies, they are defenitely the two strongest characters in the game though, with Magma and Cyclops coming in at a distant 3rd and 4th.
Well, I found out through most of the comments that the music director from Budokai 3 ripped the Buu stage theme off from this apparently, and was sued for it. But I guess that didn't work…because it's still in the games.
came here seeing if anyone compared this to the inside buu theme in DBZ budokai 3. I'm glad I'm not the only that noticed this. It kept bugging me as a kid when I heard both themes.
God, the first game had such a better soundtrack compared to the second game. Legends II is fine, really. But the soundtrack is so repetitive and really just plays the same tune over and over in a different way.
I kind of agree with you but I felt the soundtrack in X-Men Legends 2 soundtrack was going for a more epic kind of tone, giving that feel that the world is in the hands of two groups of people who never seen eye to eye and even fought each other to stop and even greater force of evil. There moments it could have been a bit better but overall I thought it worked well with the tone of the video game.

I wish there'd be a good x-men game like this but with improved graphics, mechanics and character powers. X-Men Legends has been the last GOOD X-men game. Every game after X-Men Legends 2 has been absolute crap. And Rik Schaffer should compose the soundtrack again. :P
@Setzur Seriously. When I first played this game I was 14. This level was dark and pretty depressing, with the human/Sentinel experiments. So bloody...

This track, both quiet and action, fits the Sentinel lab more, though! Quiet track is the X-Men shocked at the cruelty of what they're discovering deep in the lab, and the action theme is them getting payback.
I KNEW I'd heard this somewhere when I first played it 😂😂 Too bad Kenji Yamamoto wasn't rich enough to get away with plagiarising. Disney have done it left, right and centre and not seen a day in court for it.
