The scroll included Dolly Parton as one of the covering artists. The thing is, she does a cover and it's ABSOLUTELY KILLER. Here on RUclips. I've read that it's the only version that LZ OK'd a change in the lyrics when Dolly performs.

They never got over the death of "No.5" member. Rather than try and replace him, they just couldn't fathom him not being a member. Ironically, much like Zeppelin felt with Bonham's tragic death.

@mikey42 I am greatful that I could get Canadian TV (CBC) here, so I could always get SCTV. Honestly, I don't even think I even watched it on NBC. Of course, I am getting old. SCTV is a lost classic, these days.
This album is no longer available due to copyright infringement by Led Zeppelin and Taurus. Also by The Godfathers nephew Johnnie Pavarotti who has claimed voice copyright infringement on Luciano Pavarotti singing Stairway to Heaven.

This should be a real thing. For the song's 50th anniversary in 2021, Led Zeppelin should commission 30 "interpretations" of the classic song for a box set. The artists would be drawn from all genres of music. Some of the artists mentioned in this sketch could be among the artists commissioned to do a cover. The Four Lads

I can't get enough of SCTV commercials! This one is near the top, along with Gordon Lightfoot sings every song ever written.
The best hands down. Gordon's was 379 records right?
They are soooo funny..

No doubt in my mind now SCTV was way funnier than SNL. Quirkier and willing to be more bizarre for sure.
Not all episodes of SNL were crap, sir.
Only 90%
Canadians are the best at mass appeal humour. Must be our cold Winters.
Jim M Even, the band Rush is funny and musically talented.
SNL went too much for political jokes. SCTV just went for the best jokes.
