Can the prospective wife or husband accept Judaism? And then marry?

Definitely. Although it must be a halachic conversion. One way to determine this (to date) is to confirm that the conversion is accepted by the State of Israel. Most are not.

Was not Ruth a Moabite? Grand mother of David..? Married Boaz...
    Why was that ..? Respectfully

      To second your opinion:
      a) Ruth the Moabite is indeed the great-grandmother of King David and a famous example of a gentile who joined the Jewish people through conversion.
      b) Other examples of marriages between Israelites and gentiles include Rahab, Tamar, and King Solomon's foreign wives.
      c) The Lubavitcher Rebbe did speak about gentiles possessing Jewish souls, a concept rooted in Kabbalistic thought, which suggests that some gentiles are spiritually connected to Judaism or destined to convert.
*** If there are Jewish souls among gentiles, could it be that the "Lost Jewish Tribes" are actually living among them? And by saying that Jews can't marry gentiles, aren't we kind of closing the door on those Jewish souls and delaying the geulah (redemption)?

Great question! Only male Moabites are prohibited from converting. The Talmud explains all of this. Perhaps they weren't as chauvinistic as we think back them :-).

@@RabbiWeinstein Someone in this comment strain was mentioning the lost tribes that those Jewish souls are in among the gentils. I have a suspicion that this is somewhat the case in my case on my father’s mother’s side. Is there a particular DNA test that is suggested in this case that could help determine this through blood? I’ve been to Israel in 2015 and had a most unusual experience at the Kotel and haven’t been the same since. I’ve started to learn Biblical Hebrew bought a TANACH and can’t get enough Jewish teachings. It feels like my soul is thirsty to be connected to belong to ?…
