    North of Bracketville is the old Movie set for the John Wayne movie the Alamo(1960).
    That chemical plant looked familiar, usually most plants do not allow cameras and filming.
    This was quite a trip for you, a lot of driving just in Texas.

    I watched this video three weeks. A few days ago I used the strap technique that shown in this video. Because of this I will save a lot of money. In the past I would use zip tides to secure the existence. But not anymore. Thank you so much for sharing this life hack.

      FYI I got that tarp I lost for free from a load. And the dunnage I never pay for. Some job sites give them to drivers or don’t take them when they unload you.

      Or always hit up Home Depot. But I go with 2” straps and 4”

      @@christopherbassit2757 3.73 or 4.10 will do. But only difference 4.10 you fuel mileage isn’t goin to be great than a 3.73. But if your hauling and doing it daily it’s best to Just go with a 4.10 running a 3500. When you go up to 4500/5500 they have difference gear ratio

    It's not hard getting out of Tx u just don't have the right trailer size. Get ur CDL so u can have a 48ft trailer. If u are a trucker u are coming to Tx.

    I thought that since Feb 2022 a CDL, either A or B was needed depending on the GVWR of the truck and trailer. Did I read that wrong?

      What took place was you could no longer go to the dmv and get a cdl permit. Now anyone wanting a cdl has to go to a verified cdl school.

      @@JBTRUCKNin Michigan you can get a cdl permit straight through taking the test at the DMV then you just have to complete ELDT but if you don’t go to a driving school you’ll never pass the maneuvers

      You’ll have more opportunity doing cdl hotshot. Non cdl you limited with weight. But I make it work. Hope that answered your question

    You say non cdl, if you cross state lines you are supposed to be cdl!!! Iowa busted me for no cdl. My tx license could handle the weight and the rig, but Iowa goes by the cross state lines rule. Be careful about what you tell these guys, false info leads to lawsuits!!

      I came across 4 DOT never got no issue with my set up. Had a safety audit no issue with my set up non cdl. I got stopped by Iowa no issue expect me being at fault for overweight.
      You have to do your own research and call to make sure your in compliance.
      There’s plenty of non cdl drivers cross state lines. You may had some other issues going on.

      I was hauling one srw pickup back to Chicago, pulled in the scale got a full inspection passed everything. He told me a cdl is required for interstate commerce. I called tx dot, they said the officer has 3 options to use in that situation, that officer chose that particular option. I had been running rv out of Indiana for several years never had a problem until then. It’s just like in Montana every once in a while they will get hot shot drivers for no motel receipts, so where are you sleeping? Can’t sleep in the cargo unless you have permission from the camper manufacturer and you can’t sleep in the pickup? Drivers tell me that they can’t say where you can sleep, that’s true but they can tell you where you can’t sleep!

      Just want everyone to know I’m not hating on you, I am a newbie out here only been on the road twenty years or so, got put out of service a month ago for a loose fuel cap, safety hazard according to CO DOT, fuel leak is how it is considered. Had zero points on my license for the last six years, he said now you do. Good luck on the road , be prosperous and safe!!!
