Im glad you said these are good for people with joint issues. For some reason, I can never get a good roll on my joints. They're lumpy sometimes and come undone.
I have hiked in these boots in the UK, the alps and the rocky terrain of Sardinia. For me the Kaha is the only shoe that does not give me sore feet at the end of very long hikes and it performs very well on all different types of terrain. However there is an issue with durability - the upper becomes lose and has several holes in it because ot the soft materials. Still, as a fervent hiker, there are my favorite hiking boots. But must point out that I am female, light weight and do not carry a heavy pack on my bag. You might need a sturdier boot.
Thats my problem, broke big tow twice in the past and heel problem, getting hard to walk on now. Thats why I went on the search for boots similar to these boots. thanks for the review.
@@b.jak7 fairly true to original sizes but could be a bit roomier if you have more narrow feet. I did buy a pair, pretty expensive but I can do more than I could before. they were necessary for my health. * Not Chinese sizes.
I don’t think I’ve ever worn anything besides Nikes for my entire life but these are growing on me. A lot of the Nike acg boots I like have been sold out in most places so I’ve been looking for an alternative
Thank you for your reviews.. I watched also your review for anacapa.. It seems that in your reviews, kaha and anacapa are very much similar.. But personally your videos has already helped me to decide w/c one to buy.. But I think if you do a shoe comparison review, it will help another viewers.. Thank you.. With all due respect, allow me to tell you that it is pronounced as hoka ( O'nay O'nay).. God bless you always 🤗
@@annam5192 The new version feels like a narrower fit. The extended part on the back of the sole kicks up a lot of dirt. As the back of the ankle is much lower than the earlier version, that dirt tends to get inside the shoe.

I live in the UK too. How does this boot do in muddy or slippery terrain ? Have you tried scrambling in these ?
@@snlsnl2897 yes! I walked in the mud and the rain and they still hold their grip and were waterproof.
@@katrien7955 thanks !
Hi! Can you do a review on the newly released Hoka Kaha 2 GTX hiking boot? I wonder if the ankle support is better in the new configuration.
are the Kaha 2's any improvement for backpacking? Seems they are firmer from what I hear.
Been hiking with this boot for maybe 200 miles. Amazing. No sore feet
2:24 Strings? Do they not use the words laces in the US?

I need thinner or regs, so they may work.
Size advises?

Are they good for winter use? I live in toronto canada
Discontinued. The last stock is on sale at various retailers and Hoka directly. Being replaced by the Kaha 2.
Have you done a review on the Hoka Speedgoat 5 Mid GTX? Debating on the Kahas or the Speedgoats

With that thick of a sole how does it handle foot roll?
Is it suitable for walking on snow or ice?
Why don't you also review decathlon shoes?
Really good review thank you
Apart from the great review, you do know that your thumbnail shows the newer (and IMO worse) version of the boot?
What did you find to be worse in the newer version of the boot?
