Matt and Stacey: you have the best channel on RUclips. Keep doing what you're doing! I can easily see a multi-million subscribers' channel in the making.
Boom! Passed 100K subs like it was a cop hiding in the shadow of an overpass. No stopping now...Congratulations to you. The Yeti looks great and I am now eager to learn how the waterproofing went.
g'day from eastern Australia really enjoying your videos. and your pan am trip was fantastic, great photography great to see places I'll never get to. I run a 2012 Toyota Hilux 3-liter turbo diesel my interests are varied around my truck from work to hunting and fishing to camping. I've got a canopy I built myself that tries to cover all bases love every minute being out in the bush. keep up the good work and the videos coming.
I had a 1995 4runner in that color and its my absolute favorite factory color! Nice pick! I've also been using 3d printing for almost strictly automotive use for years. You wont regret having it as a tool in your tickle trunk 🤘
Nice, I just got an 88 Fj62 running, been asleep since 1998 zero rust, 150kmiles minor issues and auto w electric windows ;( but its becoming more n more reliable with every excursion.
Dude...the yeti looks frickin awesome...I see a CNC machine in your future...I'm rocking a 1994 chevy suburban...you guys are an inspiration....GOD BLESS
From the pictures of the WIldernest strapped on the Yeti with bungee cords hoping it doesn't fall off between Seattle and the Island to this - you two have worked so hard and deserve every bit of success you achieve. Love the blue and as always - much love 💙
Buenos dia o tarde o noche hace dos semana los empecé a seguir muy buenos videos soy de rio grande tierra del fuego a 200 km de Ushuaia Argentina saludos.
I have a jeep I inherited. Fixed it to be drivable, steering braces tie rods, draglines, clutch linkage, H4 headlights and a bunch of wiring after a fire…SM465 trans swap when the stock box puked its guts . Currently redoing fuel system, updating brakes to hydro boost. Upgrading cooling system m. Adding lock rites with chromoly axles, front shaft seals. Future upgrades in the book
Loved the Chinook transformation & looking forward to watching the Yeti. All the places it will go! I’m a 96 Yukon 2dr GT lover and understand the passion vs pain factor of vintage off roading.
Awesome. Waiting fro you to go to Paraguay and Uruguay. Really love how you shows us what everyone else ignores. Always choosing the unbeaten path. Great work!!!!
The Yeti is coming along amazingly! I love its new paint! Darn cool truck! That's the same color I want to paint my 89 Mazda B2600 once I do some minor mechanical repairs and solid axle swap it. I actually intend on making the mighty Mazda into a similar setup as yours. But for now, my canopy/topper will have to do. Great minds! My 98 XJ has been long arm swapped, modern brakes, lots of mechanical upgrades, regear, new motor, rebuilding the old one as we speak, going to shoot for 35s once I get new axle shafts in it. She's on 33s right now - should have went with 35s from the start. Being in the PNW, I know how hard it is to keep rust away from old, cool rigs. Keep up the great work!
Another great video… if you didn’t already, I would recommend printing anything going in the truck with PETG or Nylon(or glass fiber nylon). If you printed that mount in PLA you will get issues with it warping just from the heat of the sun in the cab. PETG is almost as easy to print but much more temperature resistant. Nylon is harder to print, but with those new printers shouldn’t be too bad. Happy to see you get and use a 3D printer. They are a true game changer!
Greetings from the south Okanagan once more, thanks for the video. Your affection for working on older rigs rings true with me for sure - am in the middle of getting a nice '87 XJ up onto the mountains once more after it's been parked for many years. The 3D printer would be very, very handy for some of the unobtanium parts for sure. Stay well and safe travels you two.
They've always been great just needed the love. That truck is the most beautiful 4wd vehicle I have ever seen and I had one just like yours an 84 with the 2nd bed, like yours
Finally have my 87 xtra cab 4x4 all one color. The body bits came from three different junkyards. It had no interior, but thanks to a wrecked eclipse and EBay, it is complete, “cool”, and comfortable on the inside. Now everyone is my friend when we go out. Everybody loves a toy truck.
Came across this video randomly and gotta say; one of the best things I’ve watched in a while. Made another subscriber out of me! Keep those old Yotas going!
Awesome video man! Love the color you went with and can’t wait to see if the waterproofing worked. I’m currently building/restoring a lifted 2000 OBS Chevy k2500 Crew Cab with the 7.4l big block. Got it for 3 grand and so far I’ve put an additional 4 grand into it. New trucks are nice, but there’s nothing like putting in the work and time to restore these old badass trucks!
A very applicable sponsor bit. If you're a maker, tinkerer or mechanically minded person, 3D printer is a must but I will say one thing. For your purposes, use a lot of infill on your parts you print with a VERY durable filament. Anything going in a car is gonna take a lot of heat when parked in the sun. I used cheap filament on some storage in my work van and came back to warped stuff.
Wildernests are so sick. I looked for one for ages - never managed to find one and i eventually went a different route with a different truck and camper all together. Very sick truck, veey cool setup!
WOW!!!!! 😃 You guys knocked it right out of the park again!!! Toyotas are just COOL no mater how old or what they look like!!! Can you see your selves visiting the Sunshine Coast anytime in the near future???
By now I'm sure you know that I tend to speak in metaphors and I feel Yeti is like an old stray dog that has been taken in, bathed, fed and given a warm bed with an added scratching of the old belly. Better than new. By the way, your mixture looks like there's a happy bull somewhere nearby. I can't wait to see where the new adventures take you. I'm already in the early stages of a trip to New Mexico. I just saw this video today since we are in western NC where much of the devastation from Helene occurred. No power for 8 days, no internet for 10 and we are much better off than many of the folks in this area.
Hey from South Australia! This channel/video has given me inspiration to get out and use my 1994 Toyota Hilux/pickup more. Id love to get some bigger tyres but unfortunately the Australian police would have my hilux off the road in a heart beat. I'd love to find a slide on camper or something similar to a Wildernest. They're rare as hens teeth in Aus. Cheers Jono
I have an 86 4Runner I bought last year. When I brought it home my wife said it looks like something I’m going to keep Dumping a bunch of money into. I’m just glad she sees the potential like I do. The truck was $1,500 So far I’ve had the front end completely rebuilt with new and used parts + labor that was $1, 000. A new soft topper was $1,200. Hopefully in the next week or so my mechanic will switch the gears from 4:10 to 4:56 and add a spartan rear locker. That’ll be $500 parts and labor. And I’m currently looking for a new set of tires so far everything I see that I like is around $1000. I almost forgot about the $100 battery I bought the new alternator I put in and the $25 rattle can paint job grey primer actually. Just ordered a new muffler and sound deadening mat today so it’ll be a little less noisy going down the road. Really looking forward into putting more money into later too.
You need to go with 5:29 gears a YUKON in the rear and the SPARTAN UP FRONT TRUST ME ON THIS ONE ! Your gonna out grow those 31.5s and 33s soon enough ! 35 s is where your gonna end up SO 5:29s now
@@HotRodMonza1776 I just put the new tires on so I’m sticking with the 31s for a while and the 4:56 gears are available for free just gotta pay the labor to swap them out.
That silicone and solvent thing works great for sealing backpacking tent seams, I've done it and it worked great, so I guess it would work for an entire giant car top tent!
I stopped scrolling when I saw the Wildernest! Toyota's and Wildernest's, a match made in heaven. I loved your Chinook video and now this. New subscriber, keep it up !
I wait every week in anticipation for your content, and love it, and as a Land Rover man I understand your obsession with Toyota same but different 😂😂😂
Watching this I was like siiiick 3D printer, that was probably a few grand. Then when you said 500 bucks I just about SHAT myself. Definitely going to need to invest in one.

That truck is definitely one of my favorites. Do you think you and Tinkerer's Adventure can collab sometime when his gen2 Tundra is ready? He also seems to lean more into the technical stuff than just basic "overlanding".
