The best part of the scene with the woman with the inhaler was cut. Patient: "Jerk!" *storms off* Cuddy, concerned: "What was that all about?" House, gleefully: "Jamaican chicken recipes!"
A little context for the episode with the boy having worms in his eye. The pad with the images wasn`t a idea from House for communicating. Its because the boy has a mental disorder, i think it was autism that made communicating verbally harder, so that pad was part of a visualized daily schedule for him.
The patient you’re referring to does have autism, but just to correct you, it is not a mental disorder. Autism is medically defined as a neurodevelopmental disability. Autism is different from a psychiatric illness like schizophrenia.
@@anthonymendez1997 Yeah. I know i should have phrased that in a different way, but as someone diagnosed with autism myself, i felt it best to let more people know the reason for the behavior.
There are some very interesting medical scenes throughout the Jurassic Park franchise. For example, in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, there’s a scene where a Velociraptor named Blue needs a blood transfusion so Owen and Claire (Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard) sneak into a cage with a T-Rex in it to collect some blood to help save Blue’s life. There are other medical scenes throughout the franchise but that’s the one medical scene that really stuck with me.
Dr House was always kinda funny to me. I dunno how accurate all of it is but sometimes it just comes off as absolutely absurd. So please do react to more of it so we can understand more on what's actually going on
Dr. House isn't an ER doctor, however. He's a doctor who is typically given the patients all the other doctors have been unable to diagnose and treat. To use an old analogy, once all the horses have been ruled out, he's the one who goes hunting zebras.
7:02 Me too, but I concentrated so much that I stayed looking at my notebook for about 3 hours and I didn't even notice the passage of time. Until they came to talk to me because I remained motionless 😂
The Asthma lady reminds me of a time when i was an Ambulance Officer or EMT and we went to a bee sting for an older male, He had never been stung before so we checked to see if he was allergic (He wasnt) showing no outward signs of anaphylaxis butnhe said that it was still painful after pulling it out and using vinegar to ease the pain. I was like okay so you administered vinegar to the sting and he looked at me like i was an idiot and said no......i was told you have to drink it..... He downed a half litre of Malt vinegar..... He got a nice ride to the hospital after that.
1:32 Crazy with box cutters. >makes me remember one case in Untold Stories Of The ER where one construction guy actually used copper wire to do own stitches on stomach and made an actual foot cast outta concrete
I really really love the series House was basically the only medical show I watched. I watch a lot of cop, bass shows but this is the only medical one I really got into and I love when Dr. Mike reacts to it but he's only done I think like 12 episodes and there's like hundreds
Bro was like "a doctor should never react like it", then the patient explains why box cutters were involved and even Jordan was like "that's a hard pass from me, bruh"
If any doctor would be like the "Uhwhaaa" like House with the self-circumsize guy, if i was in a similar situation, i'd just reply with "i was like that too and thats is how i ended up here" 😂
I used to housesit for a friend of mine who had an asthmatic cat. I gave her meds every day and only used the inhaler once. It had a sandwich bag rubber banded to the opening and you stuck her whole head in the bag and started spraying. When she started struggling, it had worked.
7:10 that's exactly why you don't take medicine you don't need. If you're hyperactive and cant focus, it helps you focus, but if you're fine to begin with, it makes you speed. I have the opposite problem too much focus and Anxiety, so if I take Xanax as prescribed, it helps me be able to do things. If someone is fine and takes it it makes them into a couch potato. You dont want to take any medication you dont need.
I've never actually watched a whole episode of House, but I've seen plenty of clips and compilations here on youtube, and it is a pretty good show, especially the clinic duty ones, with the patients who, like that one woman with asthma, just show that people don't always listen to their doctors, or to advice in general, I mean, cutting your own foreskin off, having had that done when I was 5yo (which I wish it wasn't) in hospital, big ouch, the pain down there is just incredibly bad, to DIY it, major big ouch!!! :S
a little clarification. unsure if you mentioned that perscribing stuff like adderal wouldnt normally be an ER thing, ik that's ur area of expertise but the hospital in house runs a clinic so some of these clips are from the clinic and the rest are House doing his speciality diagnostic department stuff
Be honest to doctors... Struggling with this after a bad case of tunnel vision. I now feel inclined to understate or hide 'popular' symptoms until my 'exotic' symptoms have been discussed.
Hello : You post great videos , Thank you for posting , If you don't mind me asking , possible to do a video of the ( infamous drug trial that shock Britain ) ??
I started going to the gym again just last week. A few days ago I called my friend who has hundreds of hours of research into health and fitness to ask if he knew any good before/after workout supplements. He did not but then Dr. Wagner has his own brand lauching, it's kismet.
the amphetamines shown are kids stuff. I used to take Benzedrine, baby. Those definitely focused my attention and last way longer. Drove from Seattle to Key West talking to the windshield. lol

Hugh Laurie played that role PERFECTLY! His impression of an American accent is phenomenal! His acting is top notch!
And when he did a fake british accent, that was insane. A british man, playing an American, faking a british accent 😂

It's just that Dr. House has such a character, so he reacts in a way that an ordinary doctor might not react.

I don't know if you know, but the original series from which House was created, is called Becker, where the main character is the actor Ted Danson.
Who'd have thunk. We tell each other "Eat shit!" in the heat of the moment, but we actually end up doing that for real, albeit involuntarily.
