En los ensayos de la ópera se permite a los cantantes "guardarse" la voz, yo no veo imperfecciones, por el contrario, es un gran cantante en toda la extensión de la palabra
I agree with what Peter Becs wrote here three years ago. I think Rolando Villazon is a magnificent singer and I love his voice and personality. He certainly does not save his voice in rehearsal,,,,which worries me a little. I just hope that in other rehearsals,,,not filmed, ,that he held back more. Such a voice is too wonderful to damage. I wish him all the very best!
Si tienes buena técnica puedes cantar con todos los recursos, pero con la voz bien colocada y sin cantar repertorio inapropiado. Eso es lo que le pasó a Villazón.

Rolando is a very good opera singer, one of my favourites, but there is something in it that he's pushing and trying to oversing. To an audience it sounds maybe better, because there is more life, strength, emotions, etc.. in it, but it really is a fact that he pushes a lot because -at least I think- he is trying to express his feelings way too much. Though I really like him and his voice. One of my favourites.

It seems that some people in this forum behave as if they're real opera experts. Critics are good, I agree, but even with his flaws, I personally enjoy watching Villazon. The pleasure that opera singing is producing on him is evident, and that's a remarkable thing. That's a very unique thing that Villazon delivers every time he performs on or out stage.

Estoy completamente de acuerdo. Canta con todo, no se guarda nada. Lo vi en Los Angeles en Manon de Massenet el año 2006 y fué increible, pero así no va a durar mucho. Es como niño, se entretiene con lo que hace y siempre está tratando de cantar full voz.

look people ... while he may have or have not sung that well in this clip ... it is important to remember that this clip appears to have been taken at a REHEARSAL & so Villazon wouldn't necessarily have sung at a concert standard ... also if this were early on in the rehearsals he would still be working out how to properly sing this song to the best of his abilities
