Sturgill dropped the greatest rock album in the last 30 years, and no one batted an eye because he’s known as a country/bluegrass guy. Sound & Fury is too good.
Also, this was an absolutely terrible performance because of his vocals. Some musicians are just as good live as they are on a studio album, Sturgill is not one of those musicians.
Sound and fury is f'n awesome. Had tickets to him with Childers right after that album drop for $100, canceled due to covid. Probably the greatest show that never happened...
After my first listen, Sound & Fury instantly became one of my all time favorite records. It is without a doubt one of the boldest, most inventive and creative records ever. Period. When’s the last time you heard a country singer come out of left field with a record like Sound & Fury? Never! It’s fucking brilliant 👌🏻👌🏻
My favorite rock album of all time is by a country singer. You are 100% spot in. There's nothing even close to it in the last 20 years. I watched the Netflix version when it came out and was just blown away by the animation and storytelling too.
I've been waiting for someone to capture a sound like this with that 70s rock sound with a modern influence of electronic. I know there are many artist with a similar sound but I love the style and fusion. Fucking brilliant 👏
You mean he's out? His licks made the albums; Sturgeon's (i like the fish)not a good guitar player. If we were buddies im calling him Sturgeon all day long😂 yeah last guitar player SHREDDED! I always practiced his blues licks. Very technical. Sturge; you have a golden voice get yer boi blue back!
@@6nosisPretty sure Sturgill still wrote all of that stuff himself… hes played lead guitar at his own shows alllllll the way back in his Sunday Valley days going back to 2004. Maybe a few licks were made by someone else? Idk about that tho. Im pretty you just called Sturgill a bad guitarist and then said you liked the stuff that Sturgill also made more. Its all Sturgill Edit: but you need to watch more live Sturgill Simpson if you think hes a bad guitarist. Id recommend the KCRW version of keep it between the lines and brace for impact
Don’t quite understand why Sturgill consistently sings in that nasally countrified twang when it’s pretty evident that it isn’t his natural singing voice. Baffling!

Damn right
Amen brother.
Far from the greatest in the last 30 years. Honestly, probably not even in the top 100. You must not know music very well.

100% spot-on.
i was micro dosing and i went for a walk, this album came on, what a fun ride it was. Every song had its place and the journey was delightful.

This album is by far one of the greatest rock albums out there, i constantly have it on repeat 🫶🏼
Nobody writes, Nobody calls, doesn't bother me because I'm over it All!!!
Here after seeing him as an actor in The Creator. A great science fiction movie. I had no idea he was already famous.
Thank you for recording/posting this. This is probably my favorite version. I listen to it a lot 💝
Me too haha
This man keeps becoming more of a bad ass every day

I love everything about this song. Mostly I love the fact that it doesn't matter what I think of it. Props to a true artist.
Covid really fucked the tour for this album up! Shame. Sturgill & Tyler tour is crazy
hell yeah. I saw them in Duluth, GA right before the COVID hit. I feel lucky because of it. He absolutely melted face in that red nudie suit haha
Just excelled
Sounds alot like boombox in the beginning.
Sturgill plays the soundtrack of my life
In Hamburg gesehen Bestes Club Concert unseres Lebens was für ein Erlebnis
Thanks for sharing this!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
I much prefer the album version of this song, but it's his song and he can do what he likes with it.
The only good thing about this is the beginning, the other gives anxiety. XD
Thanks so much for the likes and comment ♥️
The irony of the song tile and this comment is perfect lol
@@tommcquade5213Maybe if I only said I like it one way and that’s the only way he should sing it…
Can't get enough of this guy
Thanks so much for the likes and comment ♥️
Still wish he’d tour with My Morning Jacket!
I kinda want to see him and First Aid Kit together
Dude is a guitar hog to the worse degree. Should have kept that last lead man. Little Joe That dude shredded that shit
