A band that infuenced most of the metal scene after 85,the band that never got what it deserved,a band that still is the most technical thrash (and not only) that you can hear and a band that should at last come to Greece.
And the band sporting a guitarist who was basically the first guy to play technical guitar stuff in metal and yet today still remains one of the most talented, if not the most talented metal guitarist. Some things just don't change :D
Control was awesome, but Energetic will always be my favorite. Sweet nostalgia. I used to tell everyone about these guys, shout out to Mr. Billy White!
@@HighOnFire1997 last thing I've seen of him, is videos doing Buddhist bowls sound meditation type thing, he's a bit of a monk I think. God bless him. Cheers
Unreal, I went to high school with Jason and Billy. They played in our cafeteria! We would go see them whenever they played which was every few weeks. Austin had a great metal and punk scene. You could go to a show 4 or 5 times a week in the 80's. I had no idea they were playing together again. And they still shred. There were always huge pits at there shows at the Ritz.
@MEXICANMETALHEAD512 Hell yeah! I remember S.A. Slayer,Militia, and Wyzard! All great bands. San Antonio had an awesome metal scene. And one of the greatest record stores, Hog Wild!
@@Nurp-lp4vm I have the original Rainforest records release of SA Slayer love that band. San Antonio always had a good scene I still hit up SA for some good shows!
No clicktracks , no tricks… true jazz Metal on highest level … Unbelievable bass and drums I bought all albums when they came out .,, they are back !!!!!!!!!!!!! Watchtower !!!!!
This performance seriously messed with my grasp of time & space. I wondered if the internet would even work, because this took me to a place where it didn't exist yet!
I didnt get to go to the show so thanks for the vid. Awesome camera angle. These dude aint lost a step. If i tried to head bang at my age like Doug does on bass....and we're very close in age...id be in a neck brace for a week.
Everybody except Billy White, the original guitarist. This is Ron Jarzombek, who has been on every recording since the original album Energetic Disassembly. I think he came into the band in 1986 or so. Ron took over from Billy when Billy left to join Dokken of all things. Billy started things for sure, and Energetic is an incredible good, technical album, but they didn’t lose anything with Ron. Control and Resistance was also a phenomenal album. This version of the band was unfortunately short lived though…Jason (singer) left before they recorded the Control and Resistance album to form Dangerous Toys. He did the demos, but Alan Tecchio was bought in to record and tour Control and Resistance. Alan sung for their last reunion a few years ago, but everybody is always looking for Jason to do it again and he lived up to the expectation it sounds like. I wish I had been there. I haven’t seen this version of the band since 1987 or so. Would love to see them live again for sure. I think they are doing this again in Austin in January.
I mean he's obviously a legend and not saying ur necessarily doing this but we shouldn't sell Ron's insane level of musical genius and innovation and uniqueness short man.
THE FATHERS OF TECH METAL ARE BACK!! Fuck yes! Thanks for the upload.
Fuckin hell Jason sounds awesome
