The problem with GTA IV driving physics is that EVERY car felt heavy and spongy. Driving a lightweight sedan or coupe felt no different that driving a big SUV. I'm ok with SOME of the cars having softer, spongier suspensions with worse braking, like the big SUV's, because I'm probably not going to be driving an SUV to get away from the cops, so it could make just a fun, bouncy ride to drive around in if you're just screwing around. I'm ok with typical sedans/coupes/regular cars not having perfect, arcade like suspension, but they should still be easier to drive than an SUV. Considering that's probably what most in the cars in the game are going to be, those cars should be easier to drive, but not perfect. And of course, sports cars, performance cars, and super cars need to have that arcade style of driving, because that's when you want to go fast. Car damage is fine when its just superficial, and I do think there SHOULD be a point where car damage should affect driveability, but it shouldn't be "one or two accidents and you're screwed". Especially not with how some of the NPC's seem to target you when you're driving. And car upgrades to make even basic cars more driveable would definitely be nice, but for the love of GIlgamesh, either make the upgrades free, cheap, or give us more money, Rockstar.
I distinctly remember how the driving physics in GTA V were when it first came out. Drifting was actually possible back then, and the vehicles felt like they had some real weight to them. Then it all changed, and it's like nobody even remembers or complained about it!

2:52 I dont think the bump jumps will leave in gta 6, they've been in rockstar games and missions forever. Its kind of an important thing. They wont get rid of it
In my mod menu there is a complete engine suspension editor, then you can set every little thing exactly how you want it, e.g. GTA 4 suspension, or extremely bouncy realistic, high low, slow or fast, I can no longer play without this functions.
I actually played the whole story with this mod, because from the first second, I missed the more realistic driving and damage model from gta iv. Obviously, some of the driving missions were very hard, but overall, the game was much more fun to me.
I really hope GTA 6 has more realistic physics. DriveV actually looks really good, besides maybe too much damage to cars when crashing and limiting Stunting a bit too much. If they would actually just use DriveV and make some small adjustments like less crash damage and better bike stunt physics, then that would already be significantly better than GTA V.
I literally thought about this just the other day! Saw a video of gta 4 and that reminded me of how much I like the more realistic movement of the cars. Something in-between would be awesome, just like in this mod. Especially if the upgrades that you do at mod shops. Like how the better suspension would ma,e it better to drive and armor to make it withstand more impacts. Im surprised you didn't test that
would be pretty cool if they add an option of getting a realistic driving and more arcade one.. maybe changing car features in the workshop that allows me to choose a realistic or arcade driving.. would be interesting, at least in Story Mode
I mean they could add options for singleplayer either have gta 5 style damage and driving physics and have a choice for more realistic one same for online races so you could jave the more realistic driving for normal races and then the older physics for stunt type races
I think that the driving physics will be a mix to bring a little bit of realism to the game while still having a bit of an arcade feel, however the trailer may actually be a pretty accurate way of driving in GTA 6 because for their trailers they take what they already have in the game, capture it and then polish it, so in the flamingo scene for example, in the real game there may be like 10 less of them but were added to the trailer for effect.
I'd personally love this more realistic driving and ok maybe level down the damage slightly, but yeah would stop you just smashing in to anything and everything becoming better driver. See all we do is just plant it with no perspective of speed going then doesn't brake, turn etc when you watch the online RP these guys do it right!
These changes would be good, but it would work better if they added tie options that didn’t pop easily, or reinforced body frames that you need to upgrade if you want to do a hard mission with lots of stars.
A setting would be nice. Being able to switch between arcade & simulation driving would be perfect. Even things like getting gas, just like how in RDR2 your horse has health & energy, should be an option in the game. It would thrive being able to choose between modes
I hope we get a bit of a better crash phsysics, a mix of gta v and the Drivev mod. Also that the armoring of vehicule impact the crash physic, making it less potent so upgrading armor is more attractive and useful on normal cars
Over curbs, sign posts, small trees, running over people, there should be minimal damage. Head on collisions with cars, walls, rocks and big trees should wreck it completly. (Having a more realistic style would be in nature, an increase to the skill curve, especially for races, punishing dirty drivers or benifiting smart ones.) Have fuel.(something to do extra) Steering and Driveshaft damage.(Upgradable resistance via workshop) In the event of a catrastophic wreck, where the cabin is damaged, results in player death. And option at the workshop for choosing between manual, and auto tranny.😊
I would like realistic crash physics, where you total your car out rather easily. That would be fun in its own right. It would also encourage better driving all around. Just imagine you’re in a classic GTA police chase, you wipe out, and now you’re on the run for a brief moment while you jack another vehicle. It’s just more adrenaline. I just hope they won’t make your car be totaled forever. It would be cool if you could just recall the car later, and it would be fixed. Like in the case of a personal vehicle. Perhaps with a small in game fee. Something akin to GTA online.
I'm afraid GTA VI will have very arcade physics too. Accessibility, fun, GTA Online. That's why. I really like how the physics look in this mod. Gonna try it sometime!
You lose grip on the bike while turning because you're accelerating into the turn, and well... bikes don't have body roll. Not only does the momentum get pushed outside of the turn, but the literal force does too, and you don't have another outer set of wheels to roll that weight (force) onto when the inner ones lose traction... so you slide a little bit. The sliding technically happens in cars too, but it's just less noticeable (especially because most have differentials)
What I really want is real tire physics. Want to go offroad? Take all-surface or offroad tires. Want to show off your car's performance on the road? Get performance tires. Want to go fast on the racetrack? Get slick tires. Using the wrong tires at the wrong place or time will be very bad for you.
honestly the only physics in GTA 6 I want back is the bike wheelie physics from GTA San Andreas I loved being able to wheelie from San Andreas to San Fierro and being able to earn money the longer I did a wheelie for. it was such a fun thing to do to kill time and to get ur driving skill up while driving from 1 mission to the next. they kinda added it with dlc motorcycle Maibastu Manchez bc it would keep the bike up just fine without it straight dropping like every other bike but if u knew how to wheelie u could easily go on the highway and do a wheelie around the map multiple times without without dropping the front wheel and could easily be able to go around corners like it was nothing. but thats all I want in GTA 6
I think they should take a page from Hanger 13 with the Mafia games (3 and the 1 remake) and let us choose if we want realistic driving or more arcade style driving. Maybe just cut the middle man out with mods and have it where we can adjust how certain types of vehicles handle….maybe I want the bike physics to handle more like arcade. But I want cars and trucks to be more real. Idk just a spitball idea
Personally, I am hoping that they find a perfect middle ground. I want cars to feel less arcadey, but not simulator levels. I do hope that they make vehicles take more collision damage. Cars in GTA 5 feel like tanks, and very rarely are totaled. If I crash really hard, I want the car to be totaled. But several small collisions shouldn't be an issue. This could be achieved with an exponential damage curve based on mass and velocity between the two entities. Slower speeds deal minimal damage, while faster speeds or larger vehicles cause massive damage.
I feel like gta6 should have two modes where the serveres u join are the same as the other but the difference is that one will have gta 5 physics and other the most realistic physics as possible so we still can enjoy stunts but if we want to play with people and every thing around to be as realistic as possible
I would love if they had realistic driving! Maybe not like Gta 4 though, where all cars handle different, but all of them sort of handle bad. Irl, you can definitely predict the car maneuver you'll have to make and do it, but with Gta IV you can't predict crap! Gta IV cars always just handle in a way you don't want it to at even normal speeds! I've been playing BeamNG drive, and I get that it's not a fair comparison, but in BeamNG drive you can actually get the car language especially since it's trying to be as realistic as possible, while in Gta IV there is just no car language to get.
more realism to driving would be amazing, not too sure about the damage physics though im quite okay with them being the way they are, i guess they could turn it up slightly and people wouldnt be so mad but its become a core part of gta
definitely more realistic speed for the higher end sport cars/ bikes and super cars. + the suspension more dialled down than this mod but more than standard gta online. I would love to see a T20 (MCLAREN) reach 200mph with realism
I played gta5 literally 1 time. I turned it on, did 2 missions, stole a car drove it a top speed, did a turn at top speed and intentionally hit a wall, and turned the game off, and never played it again. I beat all other gta's including one of the handheld games...
I think 4 had the perfect mix when it comes to driving physics. I like each car to have a different feel and something that takes skill to actually learn. Once you learn the gta 4 physics it's more fun than gta 5 could ever be. All the cars in 5 feel exactly the same. I would very much like it if 6 had very similar physics to 4. I've tried this mod in the past and I think it's too far on the simulation side but I doubt rockstar would go that far with gta 6 that just wouldn't be fun.
all cars in gta4 feel the same too. they all feel like they have no anti roll bars and no shocks. gta4 is one end of an extreme, gta5 is the other end.
GTA trailers usually run a scripted scene but some will include player input. There’s a good chance any clip of Jason driving is in fact player input with a fixed camera tracking the player
If you had a control option in the game menu to turn on realistic driving that would be awesome but when going back to do missions turn it off that would make the game so much more fun I just want to go full on beating up cars smoking wheels lol but not doing the mission like that I never compete it lol 😂 the options should be available tho 😊
One thing I would do in gta 4 is hop in a patriot or whatever the hummer equivalent is called, and just go around wrecking everyone in my path. The crashing was god tier in that game. The vehicles had weight and momentum. The crashing physics in gta 5 were such a letdown. Even hopping in a big rig with the hope to destroy everyone on the highway would just end up being a useless endeavor, it was like bumping into bricks with a shoebox. I really hope that changes in the new game.
Personally I don’t see Rockstar bringing major changes into the driving physics as there’s a high chance it could affect negatively on the whole racing/stunting side of the game.
This mod is great, your car actually gets f'd up enough to not start again and the possibility to catch fire more often 🔥
This is something I've wanted for a long time! ❤
GTA 4 driving physics were best, bad for stunters maybe. But subjectively i will want gta 4 physics.
Да
Motorrad war aber eine einzige Katastrophe!!!
Loving the new uploads. Better then stunt videos unless I’m just getting older 😂
Gta 5 is amazing because of having little drawbacks for being crazy.
''gta6 lurking around the corner'' bro we got like 2 more years to wait
Fall 2025 🤝🏼
@@Hazardous i think its gonna be delayed to september 2026🤣
@@Hazardous What about the PC version? And are you sure that it wont be delayed? I'm gonna be honest and i think that it might be delayed to maybe march 2026 and PC version maybe around september?
Yeah pc isn’t even announced yet, but PS5 will do just fine
2:35 ngl when ever I see this red bike I always think of u and it being the main stunt bike 😂🔥
I used to use Kiddions just to change the torque split in cars to be more realistic to irl counterparts, so many RWD/AWD cars have a weird split by default (penumbra is rwd, all Ballers are 60% fwd)
2:52 I dont think the bump jumps will leave in gta 6, they've been in rockstar games and missions forever. Its kind of an important thing. They wont get rid of it
I think a “realistic” and “arcade” handling mode would be cool. Like mafia 2 especially. It was also in mafia 3 and DE (2020) also from take two.
HELL YEAAAHHHHHHHHH THATS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR
In my mod menu there is a complete engine suspension editor, then you can set every little thing exactly how you want it, e.g.
I like how cars are destroyed in unique ways in IV, way more fun
I really hope GTA 6 has more realistic physics. DriveV actually looks really good, besides maybe too much damage to cars when crashing and limiting Stunting a bit too much. If they would actually just use DriveV and make some small adjustments like less crash damage and better bike stunt physics, then that would already be significantly better than GTA V.
I'm excited to see the Oppresser v3.
I love the GTA4 driving the best, hope GTA6 is like that or close to the mod you were using.
I love it when you do these type of videos
Damn bro I haven’t watched you in almost a decade. You look so different
I love playing hyper realistic racing games so im hopeful for wheel support and maybe VR
Think i would love just to see the character driving inside de vehicle, like stepping on the gas and changing gears, maybe changing the radio.
A setting would be nice. Being able to switch between arcade & simulation driving would be perfect. Even things like getting gas, just like how in RDR2 your horse has health & energy, should be an option in the game. It would thrive being able to choose between modes
GTA V SUVs and Trucks feel like they are racecars, whereas GTA IV Sports and Supercars feel like they break their shock absorbers lmao.
Essas habilidades! merece um prêmio, sério! 🏆 Quem mais ficou impressionado? Deixa o like aqui! 💯
I would love having more realistic cars if they are unupgraded, and having OP cars like we have now on GTA V once upgraded
I hope we get a bit of a better crash phsysics, a mix of gta v and the Drivev mod. Also that the armoring of vehicule impact the crash physic, making it less potent so upgrading armor is more attractive and useful on normal cars
I've seen in some newer games, they'll have the normal driving, and the simulation driving. I think it would be cool if they implemented this.
Over curbs, sign posts, small trees, running over people, there should be minimal damage. Head on collisions with cars, walls, rocks and big trees should wreck it completly.
(Having a more realistic style would be in nature, an increase to the skill curve, especially for races, punishing dirty drivers or benifiting smart ones.)
Have fuel.(something to do extra)
Steering and Driveshaft damage.(Upgradable resistance via workshop)
In the event of a catrastophic wreck, where the cabin is damaged, results in player death.
May they add better Guns sound and Recoils
I think that the solution like in Mafia 2 is optimal, just let players choose the physics in settings.
honestly the only physics in GTA 6 I want back is the bike wheelie physics from GTA San Andreas I loved being able to wheelie from San Andreas to San Fierro and being able to earn money the longer I did a wheelie for. it was such a fun thing to do to kill time and to get ur driving skill up while driving from 1 mission to the next. they kinda added it with dlc motorcycle Maibastu Manchez bc it would keep the bike up just fine without it straight dropping like every other bike but if u knew how to wheelie u could easily go on the highway and do a wheelie around the map multiple times without without dropping the front wheel and could easily be able to go around corners like it was nothing. but thats all I want in GTA 6
I love BeamNG’s handling engine so I’d be delighted if the physics are similar to GTA IV… sadly we know that’ll never happen
Idk just a spitball idea
i know it ain’t going to happen, but i always wanted an option to use blinkers
Personally, I am hoping that they find a perfect middle ground.
I want cars to feel less arcadey, but not simulator levels. I do hope that they make vehicles take more collision damage. Cars in GTA 5 feel like tanks, and very rarely are totaled.
If I crash really hard, I want the car to be totaled. But several small collisions shouldn't be an issue.
This could be achieved with an exponential damage curve based on mass and velocity between the two entities. Slower speeds deal minimal damage, while faster speeds or larger vehicles cause massive damage.
Doubt it will happen, but I'd love to see it be a setting where you can choose on a slider how realistic you want to go with things.
They could use the same approach as Mafia, for the campaign a simulation and arcade option, for the online a middle ground... or different servers.
It's simple, we need 2 driving modes that we can change in the settings of the game, Arcade Driving and Realistic Driving.
I feel like gta6 should have two modes where the serveres u join are the same as the other but the difference is that one will have gta 5 physics and other the most realistic physics as possible so we still can enjoy stunts but if we want to play with people and every thing around to be as realistic as possible
Lets just pray that the ai NPCs don't just randomly crash into you 😭🙏🏿
I would love if they had realistic driving!
They did transform all the rear wheel only cars into 4wd cars when you apply the drift tunning upgrade in online.
Imagine them adding a "hazardous" toggle to get rid of poles 🤣🤣
Yes pls
more realism to driving would be amazing, not too sure about the damage physics though im quite okay with them being the way they are, i guess they could turn it up slightly and people wouldnt be so mad but its become a core part of gta
definitely more realistic speed for the higher end sport cars/ bikes and super cars. + the suspension more dialled down than this mod but more than standard gta online. I would love to see a T20 (MCLAREN) reach 200mph with realism
Holy shit I haven’t watched you since like 2015
Rockstar should just add the option for which driving setting you want. Same freedom Ubisoft offers in lot of their games.
I hope GTA VI has a mix of in between of GTA IV and V driving physics and crash Physics
I played gta5 literally 1 time.
I turned it on, did 2 missions, stole a car drove it a top speed, did a turn at top speed and intentionally hit a wall, and turned the game off, and never played it again.
I beat all other gta's including one of the handheld games...
I’d love to see GTA 4 handling but with realistic top speeds, mafia 2 fuel system, beam ng crash deformation
I hope that the classic muscle cars will feel more floaty in gta 6
For GTA6, Cruise control in cars, & Autopilot for planes would be huge.
remember wen cars drove differently and felt like they had weight, and you could actually deform them?
DriveV would make perfect for the GTARP communities
It is a Patriot
