Luis hope you get well soon. I had the original Covid-19 and almost died. Covid is no joke, I think you are really tough to do videos of any kind under the circumstances. Very interesting list you have. I think its worth noting that the old balls still have overall the top shelve. Great job and get well my friend.

Liked the video. Its good to mix things up sometimes and not just do the same style video every time. Even if you didn't plan on it (thanks COVID). I mostly like the honesty you put out there. Every bowler is different and they will match up with different balls. Someone who bowls similarly to you can really find this type of video very useful. Speaking of that, what's your average ball speed / rev rate? Hope you get better soon and thanks for continuing to put out good content!
Thats for that Chad! My average ball speed is roughly 17 mph and rev rate right around 375-390

Pretty much agree with everything on this except the ZM but you are not alone with hating it. Maybe it's a two hander sepcialist ball lol.

It would be awesome if you could compare all the GOAT balls across the various brands that you have thrown + other honourable mentions. Would love to get your take on how Motiv stacks up with the SPI/Brunswick products!
Some GOAT balls that come to mind are the Venom Shock, Forge Flare, Desert Tank from Motiv + Obsession Tour, Purple Hammer from Hammer as well as those GOAT balls from SPI as per this Tier List video. Comparing these balls can really educate us when creating our Arsenal!

Great video, you might as well have thrown the Hy-road Pearl in you GOAT category.
The advantage of you being a free agent is you throw all the brands so I tier list that includes everything your thrown including Motiv would have been very interesting.
It was supposed to be a list of everything I drilled this year but the website only let me pick certain amount of files

Pretty on point with ball reactions I’ve seen on your clips. Only surprises were that you didn’t have Hyroad Pearl in GOAT, and maybe the same for PhazeII since on clips you throw both really well. Otherwise the only real shockers are seeing the Zen Master and RST-X2 so far down a list, simply because of popularity reasons.
Yea the x2 and ZM are wildly popular they just aren’t my favorites!

It gives a better idea of where u guys really like certain bowling balls with as many as you touch upon through out the year. I was just glad to see you put the Altered up there.. As I just purchased that along with the Pride to pair up as both work really well together for me Along with my Rubicons Oirignal and UC2) and Supra(haha still love that ball for the dry). One of my personal favorites over the last year or so. Only one I was kind of shocked on was the RSTx2.. I thought that one would of been a little higher for you, but this is what is good like you said and I shared with my son. Every bowler is different. What works for some may not work for others. Either rate good stuff. Happy Holidays and feel better.

The altered reality is definitely a goat. Literally through 300 out of the box with it in league with no practice before and ended the night with a 793 series

Few things. 1: For YOUR tier list, I find it odd you were lower on the Trend 2 than I expected. I've watched pretty much all of your videos since you started reviewing Storm products. Like you mentioned in this video, during your review, it looked like you genuinely couldn't miss with the Trend 2, and had more miss room than any other review I can think of. It's surprising that it hasn't worked out for you beyond that review. I don't own one, and likely won't, as it doesn't fit my bag, this is purely based on my perception of watching you throw it.
2: To have that much success with the Alpha Crux, combined with having the ProMotion as a GOAT (meaning you understand SPEC) it's mind blowing that you haven't drilled/thrown an Omega or Prime. I haven't thrown them all, but I own 9 of the 10 Crux's produced. I've never matched up with a core so well, my Prime has surpassed the Virtual Gravity and Pink Panther as favorite ball of all time.

Omg the virtual gravity was that a nano ball from storm? That ball was an absolute monster everyone shot big games and series with that ball on my league.. i never owned one but always wanted one i was like 15-17yrs old when that ball came out so i didnt have a job yet thats why i didnt own a lot of balls i wanted.
Most of my grandparents friends bought new balls once a month and they would give me there old balls or balls that were old to them and new to me.. so i didnt have to buy balls back in the days but i didnt have a choice eithers beggers cant be chooser so i had to take what i can get from them.. i remember i got a ebonite apex loved that ball, my grandpa original black widow pearl i think amazing ball and bunch of balls in between i cant even remember got my grandpas prodigy etc... ive always bowled with balls for years until the core were dead some never die though lol..
The one ball you did not rate is the Electrify Pearl. I bought that ball a few months ago and I did not like it because it was too long and too snappy. I then watched your video about the Hustle Camo and I changed the surface to 2000 and since then it has become one of my favorite balls. It has similar specs to the Hustle.
I didn’t do that one cause I didn’t review it this yeAr. I only included balls I drilled this year
I love your content man. I really do take what you say as one of the most unbiased and honest reviewers out there. I do have questions though bc Darren Tang did the same thing with this ball... You both loved and used the phase 2 quite a bit but didn't even throw or review the phase 3. I'm just curious is all. I recently got one and wondered what your take is on it.

Nice video Luis, so my choices were the X2, Hyroad Pearl, Wolverine, Zen, no particular order. I have the X2, had the Zen, and looking to get the Hyroad Pearl and the Wolverine, or at least 1 of the last 2 I mentioned, I don't want it to be overkill with the Hyroad Pearl and the Wolverine. Which 1 would you recommend, my style is slower ball speed, but a lot of revs(right handed no thumb bowler ).

Luis said it perfectly. Never knows what you’ll get with the Dark Code. I’ve bowled my best game with it (279), but it’s never the first, or 2nd ball out of my bag. Trident Horizon and IQ EMERALD are 1a and b. If I could carry my Reign on, it would be ahead of the dark code too. If you’re just a little off for the day, dark code isn’t an option what so ever

I almost drilled a phaze 2 instead of a phaze 3. I still may add that ball to my arsenal. Btw... I cleared the front 9 with my phaze 3 in a senior tournament recently and blew my tenth frame with a missed seven pin.
I agree with the ranking of the Dark Code. I've seen people pummel pins with it and others not able to keep it on the lane. In my opinion, it's an overhyped inconsistent ball that takes a certain bowlers touch to be effective.
I would like to see the Phaze 3 and the Squatch ranked. I hope you feel better.

@@LuisNapoles perhaps it's just me and my rev rate, but the Phaze 3 almost seems to rev up on the back end rather than die. It will probably end up that you don't like it because it is an angular ball and I've seen that you like balls that are more continuous. However, that could be merely the lay out and I'm sure you and I differ there.

That’s all about the style of play and revrate and stuff like that. I play where the lanes tell me to play if that makes sense
I like the info that you put out on the RST X2 and how you compared that to the hyroad pearl and your likes and dislikes about them. Would be cool to see that kind of comparison on more of the balls instead of just the I liked it or loved it, but breaking down what it does to give you that feeling like you did on a few of them. But overall good job on this one. We do no agree on the dark code lol

I’ve thrown a lot of balls, and the one that I can’t seem to match up with after countless tries is the crux prime. I don’t know why I just can’t match up with it no matter the surface of the drilling or house it’s thrown in.
It’s a VERY Niche ball for sure

@luis what do you think about rounding out my bag with a Idol Helios and Wolverine soon, which I can switch in and out based on the lane conditions as a benchmark. Rev rate about 375-395 at 14 mph not super slow but not fast about even on most nights keeps me smooth !!! Mostly bowl here in Vegas at Sunset, Wildfire, and Santa FE.

Could you do a list for putting together an arsenal of 4, 6 or 9 balls? I’ve found it difficult to put a balanced bag together. Zen Master has not worked for me either. Nor has the UC2. Proton, HyRoad Pearl and Mix have been good for me.

Great video....just picked up the Zen. Coming from the jackal ghost and the storm pro-motion ....it's gonna take a little while to figure this ball out for me. I love how it moves down the lane and hits the pocket ...but for some reason ...I leave a lot of wrap tens.
If you’re wrapping a lot of tens it just means you ball is coming in to high and you need to move left more and create more shape. Easy move!
Now that you've put your list together it would be interesting to analyze the common denominators and see if there is a pattern with your GOATS and Loves to see why you are matched up compared to the hates and ehhs. Just needs that little extra analysis. Waiting to pick up my Helios, I hope I like it more. Getting scared, not seeing anyone LOVE it like the original Idol.
I honestly think that with time it will be just as popular as the OG

Hustle camo is legit, just got it yesterday and went 277 (zen master) ball changed because I missed back to back left side in the tenth and pulled out the camo and went 235,220. Very controllable and I think once I get a few more games with it it’ll because my favorite go to ball. No offense taken on the zen master being a hate ball lol I just tend to have success with it first game. 18.75 mph 480-520 revs depending on lane conditions.

Read that the ball is doing. Bowling is the only sport where you get instant feedback. If the ball is hooking to soon to late too much not enough. Understand that bowling balls are NOTHING except tools to get the job done. Understand that every tool may be used a little different. Understand that all tools have a function and finally understand what that function is for you!

@@LuisNapoles yep, hopefully. I can move way left and probably loft it but the room for error is so low I feel when the lanes are dry, league should just be enjoyable. I hope I can bowl straighter with the Camo and more relaxed like I'd prefer.

IQ Tour, Phaze II, HyRoad pearl not in the goat category discredits this list for me. Throw the OG HyRoad in there as well, there's a reason they're the only balls that still continue production after being released a long time ago

Fast pitch is not very popular but that doesn't mean you won't like it. Odds aren't good but my current favorite ball wasn't very popular in my neighborhood: Idol pro.

Sorry if this is a personal question, and no judgement if you choose not to answer, but do you think you got Covid from the bowling alley? I've been going once a week but not removing my mask. I've been safe so far, but I'm not bowling in a league either. Early reports are that Omicron is more easily contracted than the main strain and delta strain.
I wanted to start a short season league in January, but starting to have second thoughts due to Omicron and the fact that I was dealing with cancer last year.
Just trying to collect as much information as possible.

Hi! So no thats okay. I know I didnt get it from the bowling alley. Here in Vegas they are super strict about the masks and I do a good job at staying away from people. I was in florida last week for my mothers funeral and NO ONE was wearing a mask there so thats def where I got it from.

Pap 2 over 1/2.up. tilt around 30°. Axis rotation 70.

I think its important to mention that just like I think its important to mention when I was on staff to show y'all that my opinions about these balls DO NOT change just because of the brands I am affiliated with
My favorite ball is not really popular. I won an idol pro last season. I had it drilled a couple months ago. That ball is amazing. It's so balanced. It's got plenty of back end but isn't prone to over under. It clears the fronts but isn't angular. It's just so middle of the road it is in play all night during leagues. My second favorite is Phaze II and 3rd is OG crux.
I absolutely love the OG Crux. The idol pro I'm seriously thing of giving away lol.

@@LuisNapoles you haven’t used it enough patterns. Try it after phaze 2 or ur pro motion starts to flat ten. You can’t get super deep with zen but you can with this ball so it’s very good. As a step down from those balls IMO.
I think you have to give some context as to why the mix went into ehh category. 9 out of 10 who drill it are drilling as a spare ball. So why does it get an ehh as a spare ball. I'm a lefty with slightly slower speed and rev dominant. So my mix I use as a spare ball, but if I'm ever lost in league, I know I can throw my mix up 5 and split the 8/9 7 out of 10 shots lol.
So if you use a dedicated spare ball then it would be in the top top category cause you're gonna use it SOOOOO much

Love your content LN, but you spent more time explaining your “hate” balls than the “GOAT” balls. We all know that certain balls do not match up well while others do! I want to know more about the GOATS please. Of course I watched the reviews of those balls and pretty much knew why you really really loved them but for this vid I just think you should have talked more about them.
I wanted to take more time with all the balls but I was afraid the video would have been too long!

@@LuisNapoles I knocked the polish off at some point and it was slightly better, perhaps it's just one of those things where I'd rather throw something else when I'd consider the Zen - if I want midlane and backend I usually go Phaze III, if I want midlane control I have a No Rules Pearl with not too many games on it - the Zen (to me) feels like it's in the middle of those two shape-wise but maybe I'm nuts lol
@@mikniks19 You are not nuts I have the Zen and had the Phase 3both strong on that backend .Phase 3 was drilled to strong want to try drilling just over the bridge like my Zen. The Nova where I bowl might be to strong. The Phase 3 can be a
