thanks for the explanation. Although I got the plugins to work, I can still hear the clean tones while playing with the plugins. It seems its the computer is playing the plugin sound and the original straight guitar to computer sound(clean sound). How would I turn this off?
That sounds like you might have your "direct monitor" switched on, possibly on your audio interface. This would feed your dry guitar sound to your speakers and blend it with the effected sound. If not, you may have a direct monitor on your DAW. :)

Hiya mate, there are so many ways for things to go wrong and for it not to work, it's hard to provide a solution. A few things worth checking though: 1: make sure you have monitoring turned on your DAWs track. 2. Make sure you can see your signal coming into the date. 3. Hi Nick, I'm afraid there are so many possibilities that it could be hard to diagnose. Here are a few common issues to check though. Hiya, I'm not 100% sure, I don't have a great deal of experience with audacity. However, it will work with Reaper which is a free, full featured DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Reaper has a 60 day trial, but after 60 days you can just select "still evaluating", so it's actually free for life. Or you can buy a license to help fund the project. I highly recommend downloading and using the plugin with reaper instead of Audacity. :)

Oh no! :D They are really good pickups but I tell you what, heavier strings and a physically heavy guitar helps too. I'm using the Ernie Ball Ultra Slinky's in this video and that guitar weighs a tonne! Light guitars sound a little shrill with high gain amps. Weird observation but I'm pretty convinced. :D

@@jtguitartv yeah it is quite confusing, but I think it's just a marketing ollaboration. STI tones is just paying Ignite to have potential customers directed to their site with this free plugin
It's actually quite common to have a noise gate in the FX loop. Some pedals are actually designed with two in and outputs so that you can go in front of the amp and in the FX loop. You're right that going after the amp can cut the sustain. In this case I just balanced it to my taste. Being I was just riffing in this video, I wasn't too worried about sustain. I just needed it to be silent between playing so that it didn't make background noise while I was talking. That would have really mucked up the audio. So feel free to experiment and enjoy! It's a great sim. :)

For example 4:57 when you hit it in the video sohnds so clear and thick, that's my goal 😂 and yeah the guitar is pretty sick when i play it through an amp with the tc electronics metalfang pedal.. Guess I'll have to play with it a bit. Thanks for your suggestions 👍
You're welcome, happy tweaking and good luck! :D
Loved the review, could you please share your buffer size and sample rate for this recording?
Thanks! I believe I had it set to 256 or 512. Not sure. :)
@@jtguitartv thanks :)
Hi JT! I just got the plugin, sound awesome (I'm even more hooked on it thatn on Neural DSP stuff right now xD) But... how did you make it work in real time? I con't seem to find any idea abut that :D Greeting from Poland!
Hiya! I'm glad to hear you like it! To get as low latency as possible, you need to reduce the buffer size on your DAW. Mine was set to around 256 samples. Which gives about 6ms of latency.
I hope that helps! All the best, JT. ;)
@@jtguitartv Hi! What I meant is that I didn't know how to get a direct monitor of the plugin, but I figured t out, I just needed to click the speaker button on the track xD Thanks for the reply, keep up the good work :)
@@kamilkowalczyk4258 That's great! and thank you, I will do! ;)
Does it immediately download to your computer once you approve the purchase?
I can't remember exactly but it was a pretty quick and straight forward download. You have to also download a software licensing program too. All the details are on their site though. :)
JT Guitar thanks man
Yes its an exe file in windows... no cutting and pasting into folders...
Can someone tell me why i can hear the noise of the amp but my guitar ist still not "active" with the amp sound ? it seems it is not really attached to it :/
Hi Nick, I'm afraid there are so many possibilities that it could be hard to diagnose. Here are a few common issues to check though. If they don't help, I'd advise asking the manufacturer of the interface or the DAW you're using. :)
1. Check your input source on the track is matching the input you're using on your interface.
2. Check the gain level on the interface and volume of the instrument.
3. Test all the cables.
4. Check the input monitoring.
If you're still struggling, you're welcome to book in for a Skype lesson with me and I should be able to help you out.
You can reach me at info@jtguitar.co.uk.
All the best, John. :)
How do I get that Emo guitar tone from that era?
I think your best bet would be to scroll through the preset list at the top of the plug-in window. Then whichever is closest, adjust to your taste.
@@jtguitartv I didnt realise I need a guitar to actually play this. I thought it was a vst plug in. I open up my Daw and wrote in the notes in the midi but it doesnt play it. The plugins go to my FX.
Yeah, it’s not an instrument plugin. It’s more like a effect plugin.
Cheers from Brazil man! I Think Ola is the chugs'master lol but his IR didnt work for me ... Sad
Ola is awesome! Good luck on your IR hunting journey. Leon Todd, who's also an awesome guitarist, did a video about IRs and he included a link with hundreds or IRs to download. Definitely worth trying to find. ;)
@@jtguitartv oll right man!! Thanks for the help i 'll looking for the Leon's IR !
Enjoy! :D
I can't get it to show up in my DAW.(Harrison Mixbus)
Your best bet is to get in touch with the support for your DAW. They should be able to help you find it. :)
Can ignite emissary plugins be opened in GarageBand free version?
I've never used garage band, but I should think so. I'm sure it works with third party plugins. :)
You're welcome.
sounds cool but i cant install it for some reason
Sorry to hear that. You might want to get in touch with STL Tones and see if they can help.
clean tones?
Good. But without a compressor, delay or reverb it would be a bit boring and lackluster to play.
yeah so went to their website. checked out. no obvious download link. just an invoice in email. no link in that.
no link to download on website.
They're more interested in harvesting email addresses than giving stuff away. shock!
I purchased it the same way and got three e-mails: order confirmation, then e-mail with download link and invoice mail. check your spam etc.
@@kamilkowalczyk4258 Thanks bro, I saw your comment and figured it out.
Ok Emissary sounds great on your guitar, I need new pick ups... Sounds like shit on my guitar haha :D
@@jtguitartv You know what, I just installed NadIR Impulse Loader and rocked with Emissary, sounded way better now :D I just changed strings on my Aria Pro 2 to some XL Regular light gauge. The guitar is old tho, think I need to service it soon with new cables and maybe new pickups, switch and volume +Tone control since they start to lag a bit for me.
@@Lfomod1Dubstep Awesome! That NadIR is great. Enjoy and good luck with your first project!
@@Lfomod1Dubstep Lol smh......
Why do I have to share my adress if its for free?
I don't know, I don't have anything to do with them. Maybe put down a fake address, it shouldn't make a difference, as you said. :P
Downloaded it, and winrar couldn't open it. Meh.
Nooooo! Sorry to hear that! :/
dude Emissary is made by Ignite Amps, Not STL Tones!
I'm afraid you're mistaken, good sir. Ignite amps are not a software company. The Emissary is made for them by STL Tones, which is why you can download it from both STL and Emissary's website. Either way, it's free and it's epic! So enjoy and thanks for watching! :)
@@jtguitartv what are you even saying? Ignite Amps have released software for years. They even won a developer challenge at KVR for the ProF.E.T. plugin. It's 100% made by the two italian guys, not STI tones.
@@daniellievemaa1949 I think you're right actually. On the STL Tones website they make it sound as if they made it. And even though both Ignite Amps and the STL Tones logo are on the products, STL make no mention of Ignite amps in their description of the product. It's quite misleading.
@@jtguitartv yeah it is quite confusing, but I think it's just a marketing ollaboration. STI tones is just paying Ignite to have potential customers directed to their site with this free plugin
Mine sounds terrible
Thought this plugin would do more than just metal, but any other type just sounds crap with this plugin
You cut too much sustain, noise gate should be before amp, not after.
