I record, edit, and upload a wide variety of videos of how my weeks go, various events happening alongside my projects planning and creation processes. Currently a double Computer Science and Language & Mind major at NYU, and minoring in Game Design at NYU Tisch, so I'm happy to answer any and all questions either in the comments or by email (in the "About" section). From animation to NYU, ask away! I look forward to seeing you in future videos.
🎬 My Videos
I upload every week on Mondays or Tuesdays at 10am ET / 2pm UTC so check back then! I am focusing a lot on productivitym educational, and typing videos, from language learning and linguistics to game design and computer science, but have the occasional split here and there. I also post some timelapses of my projects from time to time.

Your videos are very helpful man, i watched almost all of them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏🏻 Keep doing what you're doing 💯
Legitimately one of my favorite comments, hearing that one vid sparked you watching more. Thanks so much! Keeping it up is the aim 🔥🔥
Oh, thanks for this! I just realized my typing speed while programming sucs because my keyboard is in Finnish/Swedish layout and the altgr key is needed to type square or wave brackets, so both hands have to be used in order to type them. And while programming the special characters are extremely common. I have to consider learning us keymap or doing my own
Very helpful. My work actually requires generating complex regex pattern solutions and i can tell that there are no shortcut but just practice.
Ahhh regex is definitely going to be one of the more consistent ones haha. The more you type 'em out the better you'll get for sure- thanks for dropping by another vid! Always good seeing familiar names 🔥
WOW! How funny that intro is & informative as always! 😂 🙂
Thanks! 😃
Loved the intro 🤣
Ahaha thank you!
Great video! And for typing an exclamation point? How do you do it? Right shift, left pinky? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! Evidently, I use my left ring finger on the LSHIFT key and left middle finger on the 1 (!) key
Is there a program that I can give a bunch of code and it makes me practice typing it?
You can paste custom text into monkeytype, I believe!
Hi, if you use monkey type then you've probably seen something called consistency. Please does it matter or will it increase according to my increase in speed? Thanks.
Not fully certain what you mean by a specific thing called consistency... If you can keep your typing consistent, it will definitely increase your speed! It means that overall you are typing at the same speed. Hope that helps and keep up the practice! 🔥
@@markbacon78 thanks Mark
best intro does not exist
Merk :- that's where you're wrong kiddo
It was creatively made 😂
🙇♂️🙇♂️ Thank you thank you
what finger do you use for 4 (not $, just 4)
I tend to use middle or pointer, depending on the situation (if I'm typing '234' then I just use my pointer).
Me typing with literally 1 finger with each hand: *YES*
I made my own type of website ( not hosted ) to learn fast coding😂 its has 200 plus weird syntax senstences from html, css and javascript . It has no wpm calculator though it just turns the word red if i type it wrong
that's so cool. can you send me the link so that I can try it out
Are you really not looking at the keyboard when typing special characters though?
Hands down the best intro on RUclips! 🤣🤣🤣
Ahaha thank you! Was really fun making it, not going to lie. I hope you enjoyed the rest of the vid and thanks for dropping a comment! 🔥
@@markbacon78 love your videos 💙
@@markbacon78 Absolutely! Special characters are what I need a lot while programming - and it is good to know that what makes sense "in theory" doesn't really matter - what matters is what feels right to you. Wonderful video
I'm using a 75% keyboard, and I don't know how to pull out the @ simbol on that thing
Is it not SHIFT + 2? Usually those keyboards have their special shortcuts
@@markbacon78 yea I tried everything, the issue is that the machine where I'm using it is a corporet machine. So I can't modify nothing on the system. Shft+2 and ctrl+Q doesn't work neather.
If you are going to spend a long time developing muscle memory for special characters why not just use the standard QWERTY finger placements? Otherwise what you decided on may later be deemed as bad habits holding you back from your full potential. I tried to find alternative finger placements but found that just developing the standard finger placements work the best. Because of my ADHD, I just practice special characters because I get bored with regular word typing.
Because the standard placements kinda suck. I mean, I use QWERTY because 99% of the time you sit in front of a keyboard it'll be QWERTY but either way, finding the intersection between what's comfortable and optimal is key.
Good
Thanks!
Since I personally played the piano so I can stretch my pinkie and it is strong enough, and I also hunted and pecked for years but still did not get faster than 50 wpm with that I learned the "proper" method and used my right pinkie for []{}\|/?+=_- ) and left pinkie for `~!
damn. is there any other way that I can get my right pinky finger to become very strong besides playing the piano?
@@elliotlassey3118 yes, type and use your pinkies
I've made a huge detour to non qwerty, ergonomic, 40% split builds, now I'm back to ansi qwerty, slowly learning to touch type numbers and symbols (so I don't look like a moron at someone elses computer).
This is so uncomfortable, the ctrl placement, huge space, and arrows are killing me everyday. I get that it's unrealistic to have all people to switch to 40% in an instant, but for god sake the manufacturers should at least start shrinking the space so that alt is closer to the thumb, and also swap ctrl and caps keys. just these two small changes would make it so much more ergonomic, not even talking about ortholinear layout, which takes just few days to get accustomed to. There are 'easy' fruits for qwerty you can grab, and still not require many days of learning, yet no one seems to be bothered. Btw switching to different layout on ansi keyboard is like tunning your 1985's toyota with best exhaust and brakes that can possibly fit.
Yea, I think that's the best argument out there for different layouts. Sucks that they probably won't become mainstream or anything, though if they did I certainly would try and put the effort into it. Especially when it comes to the combo keys (i.e. CTRL/SHIFT). Thanks for dropping by the vid!
Nice ❤️ videos
Thank you! Super glad you enjoyed it.
so you type () quickly, and then what? you need to go inside using arrows, this is very inefficient.
I suppose for my use case, you don't have to half the time. Writing functions (i.e. thing.function()) makes life easier. When I'm typing normally, I just use one at a time, no () followed by arrow keys.
nice video
THanks!

why dont you teach us progrms mate:)
Okay this time I'm going to leave a comment. What is this intro? Hahahhaha
Ahaha just a way to have fun! A friend made a comment about the intro on my first typing vid and I thought, "I'm going to do it again..." Thanks for dropping the comment! Much appreciated 🔥
why tf would we know you already
Because my first typing video has hundreds of thousands of views, ans I just assumed people would find this one from that one! But also bc I tend to joke about it since it’s more than likely you wouldn’t, haha. Hope you enjoyed the vid, at least!
@@markbacon78 forgot to keep watching, thanks for reminding me. Was looking for something to watch while I'm on the toilet. Cheers

Cut 1dollar for over acting 🤣😂
I'm still waiting for my oscar 😏 Thanks for dropping by the vid!
@@markbacon78 just kidding bro... U increases my WPM from 27 to 51 ....
