Pokémon Emerald Hardcore Nuzlocke - Ground Types Only! (NO ITEMS, NO OVERLEVELING)

A hardcore nuzlocke of Pokémon emerald using only ground type Pokémon in a region filled with too much water sounds like a crazy idea. There's only one way to know for sure if I'm crazy, or a genius. (crazy). I love these monotype nuzlocke challenges, especially ones that let me use one of the starter Pokémon. I hope you enjoy the video!
Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:
1. Any Pokémon that faints must be boxed or released
2. I have to nickname all of my Pokémon.
3. I can only catch the first Pokémon I encounter in an area
(excluding duplicates).
If it faints or runs away I'm unable to catch another one.
4. Battles have to be on 'Set Mode'.
5. No over leveling
6. I can't use items in battle (except held items)
Additional Rules:
I can only use ground type Pokémon in battle

Wait, how did The Boulder evolve into Golem?
You can change "impossible" evolutions by using the universal pokemon randomizer. Basically just changes trade evolutions to evolve at level 37 or in the case of pokemon that evolve while traded holding an item, they can evolve by leveling up holding that item.
In my poison only platinum run I didn't do that with my haunter and someone in the comments said I should just evolve them fully going forward and I thought well, that sounds like a lot more fun so I'm going to do it lol
