Empire Ave I-5 interchange in Burbank -- Dec 8 2018 tour

Tour of the NEW I-5 Empire Avenue interchange in Burbank, starting from Empire Avenue, near the Empire Center mall and concluding eastward, near Vern's Auto. Not completed, but far enough along for this video. I show areas that were flooded out several days previously, partly-constructed storm drains and pipes, and what's where. Dec 8, 2018. (
CAUTION: it's NOT a good idea to drive this area yet. It was Ok for me to do so, because I visit on foot frequently and know where the hazards are. A person unfamiliar with the area and venturing in, could easily drive into a hole. I believe CalTrans plans to have major parts of this open to traffic in a couple of months -- and to have the interchange fully operational by the middle of 2019.
