Hello friends! Her first time listening to Nightwish. The song we selected was Ghost River Live At Wacken 2013 . This is her first time reaction to this song and we really hope you enjoy it!

Today, we venture into the captivating universe of symphonic metal with one of Nightwish's most impressive compositions: "Ghost River." This symphonic metal masterpiece from the album "Imaginaerum" is a gem in the crown of a band that has left an indelible mark on the history of music.
Before delving into the intricacies of "Ghost River," it's important to contextualize the song within Nightwish's history. Founded in 1996 in Kitee, Finland, Nightwish has undergone various lineup transformations over the years. From the outset, the band explored a unique musical territory, fusing operatic vocals with metal and symphonic elements.
The original vocalist of the band, Tarja Turunen, left an unforgettable impression with her lyrical style and stage presence. However, over time, the band decided to take a new direction. The arrival of Floor Jansen(after Anette) as the lead vocalist marked a significant change in Nightwish's musical dynamics. Her vocal versatility and powerful delivery added a new dimension to the band.
One of the standout aspects of this version of "Ghost River" is the potent vocal combination between Floor Jansen and Marko Hietala. Marko, who also handles male vocals in the band, brings a striking contrast to Floor's voice. Together, they create a perfect balance between the melodic and the powerful. If Ghost River was the property of any other metal band it would be their number one hit. With Nightwish, they have so many brilliant songs that this amazing song does not achieve the credit it deserves. One of the best for sure

Marco Hietala has a great voice! And music of Tuomas Holopainen sounds very good!!!
Miss the voice of Tarja in Nightwish - it was the most beautiful sound of them. But Floor Jansen also sounds good here.

I agree Tarja is fantastic but Floor deserves to not always be compared to Tarja. She’s her own person who puts her own signature on the band, she deserves all the credentials for saving Nightwish. To date she’s been the most consistent and reliable of the 3 Nightwish front women, showing up for rehearsals and putting the band first over other work and gigs. She’s has also been longer with them then either Tarja or Anette.
@@irenehabes-quene2839 You are right, - Floor is a good vocalist. I just like the first sound of Nightwish - with more classical vocal of Tarja.
You can also listen covers of Natalia Tsarikova for Nightwish songs - for example "Sleeping sun" - she use classical vocal, - like Tarja.

@@duncanwyer2460I think Tuomas said in some interview, that he asked Jukka, if he would like to sing, too, and he said Yes. So let's see if it happens in the next years new album.. ❤
I don't know about you, but I cannot distinguish Jukka's voice in the harmonies in Wintersun, so dunno what kind of voice he has. Except that it's low, propably
Anything from Deichbrand 22 or Hellfest 22 would be great choices to check out the new bassist Jukka, but so far, at least, he hasn't done any singing with the band (though he did backup vocals with Wintersun).

Marco was a huge part of Nightwish to me, but to see the new bassist just search on anything Live Nightwish in the last 2 years (he doesn't do any singing, for the most part Troy has taken over the verses that Marco would have been harmonizing on).
Marko, in addition to being a great bassist and singer, was part of the essence of Nightwish. Even though the new bassist does a great job, it is very difficult to replace him for everything he meant to the band. Greetings from Argentina!
