Skip to 6:00 to get to the problem...
- even then there's 30sec on talking about nice things about the interior first.
- in short, 'no physical buttons' and 'troublesome infotainment'
that's right "the problem" is both
- actually two problems
- nothing that hasn't been covered a million times before across new VW group cars
Not all heroes wear capes!
bros got the Christopher ward on i love that
Maybe we might get a update for the system, maybe they will should hire a better coders for low comsuption ram, cpu things like this
I've got a Cupra Leon 300 and have exactly the same gripes! ...but I do love it. Pro's easily outway the con's.
Pleased to hear you're enjoying it!
Have mine for a few months now, and I'am totally shocked that VW could even consider integrating such a system. When you're on the move, it's almost impossible to hit the correct spot on the screen consequently the number of "idiot" selections is incredibly high. So adjusting basic stuff can take easily 6 or more interactions. Good thing it has lane assist and adaptive cruise control or I would already have crashed. Wrt driving, it's very good and precise, but it has too much boost to get the power down in 1st and 2nd gear.
How is ur fuel economy city highway
What if you just want to drive the car and not mess around with the info?
I have a Golf 8 and i am going to change it and I refuse to buy any VAG vehicles due to the current software
Thinking about getting a estate version comes with more power,4 wheel drive and its more practica.l
Thanks for sharing your experiences. What a car.. I love your CW watch by the way.
We're glad you liked the video and the watch! Thank you!
I'd still buy one despite the horrid and buggy touchscreen. Been driving a Leon Cupra R mk1 for 21 years without a screen, so I can manage. Just got stolen, I need another Cupra. Making do with my backup E92 330i 272hp in the meantime.
Cracking out the quality content
Are they the new wheels as standard? I prefer those over last years
Yes, these now come as standard!
good news! problem fixed ,no lagsworx super good
Ok..the real discussion starts from 6:00.

Well, surely SEAT are aware of this problem with the software? Would imagine they have had lots of feedback from the motoring press regarding this issue ! Think it’s just going to be a few weeks wait while their tech dudes sort it out! Agree though, stuff like this can disrupt sales of the car. It’s a great shame really, because it’s a potential Golf GTI challenger
Yes, they've had lots of feedback, hopefully they can remedy it!
Golf GTI has the same software problem.
Better. A GTI Clubsport challenger!!
My Cupra Formentor infotainment system is full of bugs, shame as it's a fantastic car. So would I buy another, probably not.
you know theres an updated infotainment screen, bigger and better OS?
News to us. If that's the case then it should be fitted to press vehicles unless it hasn't had enough time to filter down in to the fleet.
That’s a 2022 car when was the updated info screen and better OS?
@@johnguidetti5839 came out in 2023
@@AM-re8xe i have 2023 one still same issue with infotainment crashes and crazy stuff doing. Will call service for it i want to see what they can do about it btw it is new 12’’ system.
Also, i have a 2021 model and in Italy, between the months of June to September, some of these cars came from the factory without the welcome light (the animation on the rear lights when you open the car) and the dynamic blinkers. And if you try to ask the dealer (now that the problem is solved) they tell you to pay 3k€ for the upgrade (for something that come from factory).
Also I heard a lot of people that have really big problems with infotaiment, like fried chips while the car was at the dealer for some updates! And yet, they have to wait 4/5 months to have the car back because there aren't much restock of thise chips
Whats going on with them alloys there horrendous, it would put me off buying one what a shame
Certainly not to everyone's taste!
I initially had some Android Auto issues with my Seat Leon 2019 (prev gen), where long-pressing the sound/power button for 10 sec reboots the infotainment. Not sure if that 'workaround' could work for this car as well.
Same issues in Golf 7, occasional infotainment crashes/freezes and have to reboot to fix it. Happens randomly when using Android Auto, or if I switch to reverse (with camera) while system is still in middle of booting.
Slightly better than GTi Clubsport
It looks horrendous
Such a failure. Unfortunate
Had mine a yr feels fastish but paint stripping off bumper lots of people same issue it's a bag of shit
Sorry to hear you're having issues with the car. Hopefully CUPRA rectify it for you!
@@redlinemagazine they deny the paint is an issue but every 300 mk4 I've see has it on some of them literally all the paint on underside of rear bumper stripped off, it's not easy to see so people spot it late by which time runs up the bumper needs full respray, we are not just talking paint chips but a 20cm x 15 cm patch that then runs into bumper. I had gearbox issues on mine as well few times on kickdown on motorway gearbox went into emergency mode. The rear camera fell out on mine as well another common issue part of back order for months. Its a covid developed car imo best avoided imo.
