    I always find it amusing when Anna say that Zara and H&M are budget stores when, for me, they would actually be a big step up. For all my life, I've shopped at Walmart or thrift stores.
    I just started my Law of Attraction journey, so that should change hopefully within the year

    I can appreciate how Anna has grown to accept that Zara, while being a fast fashion retailer, does have great basics and "hidden gems", where before she wrote it off as inelegant. It shows that Anna has expanded her shopping skills and her mindset when it comes to sourcing staples in her wardrobe - the epitome of elegance!

    • @AnnaBeyOfficial
      @AnnaBeyOfficial  Год назад +195

      I have never been against Zara. But I have been working hard on promoting the benefits of investing in mid-range. Of course I also want to cater to a different demographic that cannot afford more than fast fashion at this point, which is why I make these videos.
      But I have always bought from Zara even if it’s not my favorite place to shop at.

      I think it is largely due to the enhanced quality of Zara products. Their clothes have become so much better recently compared to how they were before.

    • @HereDiianas
      @HereDiianas Год назад +47

      @Tram Ta Well, since I have been buying from Zara since I was 13 because my legs were too long for teenage stores ( I am 40 now) let me tell you that their quality has not improved. It used to be good quality and then ok quality and now it's poor quality. Now you can always find exceptions from time to time but it's super rare. There is a big difference between the clothes I bought 10 yeas ago and what I see in stores now. And I am not even talking about clothes I bought 20 years agoI (completely different world) it's fast fashion anyway, and the concept itself of fast fashion does not allow good quality. The very rare hidden germs are ok but I would never call them good quality.

    Thank goodness I got some of those pieces already in my closet. It really shows investment buying in classic pieces they will come around again. It's always fun to buy new pieces yet in this day and age and at my age being 73. It might not be such a good investment.
    All of the pieces you modeled were beautiful on you. Yet you gotta know that polka dotted sweetheart neckcline dress Is a dress made for you ;you look amazing in that dress and style. I believe it's due to the style of that dress which mimics your body. Yours being an hour glass that pieces cut like an hour glass so it's just gorgeous. Specifically made for that body type.
    Regarding that print dress I think what makes it really work is the asymmetry of the hemline and folded waistline.I think if it was just very plain. It would look not quite right but because the pattern is going every. Which way It's much more intriguing to the eye. The dress design is mimicking the pattern that's what makes it really work.

And yes they live on this same earth. I am still trying my best to stop buying basics from Carrefour (the hypermarket) and you are telling me zara is the affordable choice to look expensive? I am at my best if I afford Zara.

      Plus, telling these (on average people) to take a course that costs many hundreds..? I mean please.. do I freeze bills for couple months to get a course to learn what to dress and then not afford all these recommendations 😅😅😅 despite the fact that I would be broken for 3 months if I paid for this course? I’ld rather buy the carrier in my wishlist for my baby, the, $40 shirt that you’re talking about, a psychologist appointment.. I seriously feel that I am in a different world from where all people are.. or just people try to be blind..

      Girls, there are many RUclipsrs who have content on how to buy nice clothes in hypermarkets... this is not Anna's audience. She is upper class, part of the high society, the millionaire circle. She's trying to make ordinary people like us look sophisticated. I think that the cheapest she will ever use for us is Zara 😂

    Agree with most of your tips here. Nice outfts as well. However, to me, pencil skirts aren't for everyone: people with hips, a belly, a big bum. Nah, although if it's stretchy maybe, but it doesn't fit all body types. The denim dress looked to rough on the denim in my opinion, and the 'wash' of the denim wasn't so elevated. I'm not a fan of polyester, maybe I try that satin Zara dress though, I mean, polyester usually looks so cheap, and it feels SO rough on your skin, like sandpaper, urgh.
    Talking about dresses, went shopping (didn't buy anything though) and in the fitting room I saw a girl trying on bodycon dresses for a wedding she was going to attend. Her friend said she looked good in them, but that really wasn't the case. There were so many dresses in the store she could've picked from, but bodycon wasn't it, if u can see more than 3 huge rolls, that ain't it people. Her bum didn't look nice in it either. Not flattering at all, and she had such a pretty face. Had to keep myself from trying to give advice as her questioning eyes met mine. If there wasn't a salesperson in there I probably would have said something really. She would've looked so nice in a flowy dress with print.

    All white is always a classic. Anna I was wondering if you could expand your recommendations for elegant classy summer dressing for women in their 50’s. I am at an age where I don’t like to show my upper arms or my legs but I still want to look classy, but Greece is so hot ( you can’t walk around in heels due to the state of the roads and footpaths) . Therefore, I find looking elegant in Greece a challenge. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    I really enjoy your budget-hauls. It would be very interesting if you tried this concept but in a thrift store, where it is relatively easy to find classic cuts but also uniqe pieces in very good quality to an extremly low price. :) It would of course be difficult for your follower to buy the exact same pieces, but it could be done as an experiment to investigate if you can find elegant clothing in thrift stores, and tips on what to look for :)
