Compared to the bigger tickwris , wich is smoother interms of utilizing the overall ram and cpu usage , considering the screen size also , witch has better pixels and although I don't usually use to many apps if any wich do you recommend overall . Thnx in advance for any and all help :)

Nice review as always. Just received mine. Does this have the ability to increase font size to take advantage of the larger screen? Can't seem to find anything. Thanks!
There are some Play Store apps you can install to increase font, and there's a place in settings to chose large font if you want. Also, play with the option for 3rd party apps appearance in settings, though it tends to make the font really really tiny rather than big. If all else fails, follow one of my tutorials on turning on the triple tap zoom function in the accessibility settings to really make everything huge when you need to see close.

I use the watch mainly to see messages and reminders.
But it's very small for me.

@@SWT yes, the google play store, because apple is not sophisticated enough for launcher systems. They're listed as "trek total launcher theme" and "total launcher".
@@redemption882 I don't know if they'll work on your watch. But in Google Play Store, they are "Total Launcher" and "Trek Total Launcher Theme". You can decide what extras you want, but you don't need them.
Just a quick note for people outside of the US, if you want the weather to be in C instead of F you need to have the measuring units at 6:07 set to metric instead of imperial

I love my LEM4 PRO as well, especially since it has Bluetooth calling capability! Milk it for as long as it lasts as there's nothing like it out there anymore. This 'evolution' to Android 7 is nice, but a few things are lost. Same is true with the Android 10 migration. But we gotta constantly improve, right? And so it is. These are your 'good old days' with the LEM4 PRO.
I'd love to have one as a kid.

Yes! Thanks for pointing that out! We should all make sure we remove shipping film from watch cameras, sensors, and the watch face itself. Note that there's a difference between a really thin film and the thicker plastic screen protector. The screen protector is rather stiff and probably should be left in place. The film usually has a tab to lift to get it started removing it.

It's pretty darn cool with the current processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. You could always upgrade from this one to the upgraded model in two years and sell this one on Craigs' list, thus getting two years of joy now without waiting!

Actually, my biggest use for these things are mobile shopping lists (like "our groceries"), and maybe apps like Walmart's "scan and go" (when they stop making you buy W+ just for that feature).
Good morning, I’ve been looking at your vids on these watches and was really considering the LokMat LLPAPP but I’m concerned about my little wrist. It’s 6 inches and I’m concerned about it flopping around. Don’t want to wear anything under the watch to make it stay in place as you mentioned in the LLPAPP vid. Will definitely take away from the beauty of the watch. I like the size of this one. Do you think this would be a wise choice over the LokMat? The charging dock concerns me as well. It should fit your wrist OK. I'm 7" wrist and I'm in about the middle holes on the band, so there's more room to tighten it up. Mrs. Ticks just tried it on and it fits her!

Remember, the LokMat APPLLP PRO might not fit you! I'm on the last hole at 7" wrist. TicWris MAX S is the one that can tighten up. Oh, and Mrs. Ticks won't take the MAX S off yet. Looks like I may have lost another one to the better half of the family. :)

I was waiting for this review. Thanks Mr. T! The only let-down is the 2MP side camera which seems to be added as an after thought. Other than that, I like the form factor better compared to Kospet Prime 2.
Yes, it seems smaller on the arm than the Prime 2 because the longest dimension is parallel with the arm and so not as obvious. Much better for streaming RUclips videos, too.
Does the fitness app connect with GPS?

Yea, it's pretty confusing. Once you go to replying to texts, you're looking at Android watches with keyboards. With the newest Android watches you can't do Bluetooth calling or texting, only SIM calling and texting with a separate SIM in the watch. So what you want doesn't exist yet.

I just got this under the Kospet brand (Note). It's all good but a tad worrying that after I installed a firewall it started to show weird IP connection requests. One in particular was the built-in Face Unlock app trying to connect to an IP located in China and belonging to "Hangzhou Alibaba Advertising" and wanting to send packets of data. I don't know what to make of this. Iffy.

Great watch. But.... as you all know I am the creator of having the camera at landscape position at 12 o'clock facing forward, not on the side. Such a perfect watch for pics and the camera on the side. I hope some make a rectangle watch with camera facing forward to capture beautiful landscape pics
I soooo agree that this would be perfect if the camera module was bumped up to 8MP or 13MP like on the PRIME 2 and, especially, if it were relocated to the top rather than the side. It looks easy to do with a bit of tweaking inside the watch. The body and frame would certainly support it. Perhaps time for another common sense nudge in that direction? We'd all love to see another Jason Original Creation!!!

Hello, I just received the watch in a good condition, can you help me with one question:
How can i copy the data from my computer to the watch because it is not the normal USB cable ?
Transferring files to and from an Android smartwatch is very simple. You attach the 4 pin charging cable to the watch, and plug the other end into your PC or Mac computer. The outer two pins of the wire provide charging power for the watch battery and the inner two pins are used for communication with your computer. The watch should mount on your PC/Mac like an external thumb drive, and you simply drag and drop files and folders to/from the watch the same way you would on a thumb drive. For Mac users, you need to install the app "Android File Transfer", which will automatically run when you plug in your USB cable and connect it to the watch.
On the watch you need to set the USB connection for File Transfer. That depends on which watch you are using. Currently Android 10 watches mount automatically so you don't need to do anything (that will change soon through firmware update because it poses a security risk by not requiring you to authorize access). On Android 9, like the APPLLP Pro, you touch the screen after connected and you get a new screen and you touch File Transfer. On Android 7 generally you will get a notification prompt on the screen and, when you access it, you get a dialog to select File Transfer. If that doesn't happen, after you are connected, go to Settings, Connection, USB (may be slightly different wording depending on the watch) and you'll see that screen where you select File Transfer.
Disconnecting the wire will close the connection no matter which watch or computer you are using. Remember, you can copy custom watch face folders, app .apk files, music, video, etc., from your computer to the watch, and audio recordings, pictures, video recordings, etc., from your watch to your computer.
If you don't want to do all this using the wire, remember you can do it wirelessly using WiFi. My preferred method is the app AirDroid which I have installed on my computers, watches, and phones. The free version allows connection of three devices, which works for me as I'm only doing one transfer at a time. Another method that even works over cellular data is to set up a cloud service, like your Google Drive, to upload files, like photos, videos, etc., to the cloud, then download them to your phone, tablet, PC, NEST screen, whatever. Dropbox works well, too.
A little study on your part as to which technique works best for you will be well worth it in the long run as you'll learn to master that technique and it will become second nature to you over time. So have fun exploring!

You should,I have this watch and the active 2 and the Max S is way better,the Max S actually gives you the accurate weather also Google assistant works just like the one on your phone,battery life is about a day an a half or a lil less but still good considering how much you can do with this watch.

It's the same as any Android smartwatch. You can download from the Google Playstore app or connect to your computer and copy over ".apk" files (apps) and then use file manager on your watch to find them and click on them to install. You can delete the .apk files after they are installed. I keep a folder of my favorite apps on my computer that I move over to all my Android watches this way.
Anyone know if the straps are removable? If so, it Could be used as an actual mini smartphone in your pocket

The original Watch is there a replacement cradle meaning my Watch came apart I need to change the whole Band and cradle it cracked and I had to unscrew it now need a whole Strap and the carriage that connects

Is there by chance a way to customize the tiles on the watch face?
Important for all, who want to use it as standalone Android phone: It is not possible to get notifications from third party apps. Only preinstalled apps are supported. I was in contact with Ticwris, AliExpress and at last Paypal. Ticwris confirmed that issue, but dont refund because the watch is not defect. Ali and Paypal dont refund because there is no defect with that device. Never Ticwris again. When I pay for a full Android Smartwatch Phone, I want to use it as a such.
That doesn't make sense Manni. Whether you're on the Internet with WiFi or with a SIM, you should get notifications from any apps on your watch, just like you would with a phone. Standalone means you're not using your phone and not trying to get the notices sent to your phone on your watch. Use your watch like a separate small phone and you should do just fine.

Can the sim card share the number that your phone has or does it have to be a different number?
It has to be a different number unless you set up the same number cloned to a separate SIM through T-Mobile's "Digits" program. If you set up Google Duo or Meet apps on your phone and watch, calls coming in will ring on both devices and you can answer either one. That's how I have mine setup.

Sorry, I don't know that, but sites like banggood.com generally have a guide to check for frequencies and networks in all countries they ship to.

@@SWT older versions, especially 7 giving more space for hackers, as far as i know. So it is just a thing of security.
@@SWT Android 7 stopped getting any security patches from Google. This watch records everything you do, every breath you take, every place you ever go. "Somebody else" can see all that data, because of Android 7. If you don't care about that, all fine, if you do - no way to buy such a device. Such a pity, because many people would pay even more if they made the effort to put Android 10. The hardware is enough for Android 10.
Really cool watch I want to get one but I just bought a $200 phone so I might wait but I think it's awesome I probably would have just bought this instead of the phone

How do you reset the watch
I've had the Max for a few months now. It sits on my desk on the charger with a sim in it. I find it very hard to use because of the small screen. Very annoying because of the wrong screen presses. Speaker and camera are worse than the cheapest Android phone. Software is insecure because it's so many versions behind. It can never replace a real smartphone. These things are expensive dust collectors.
Thanks for your feedback. They have a smaller MAX S out now, which probably would be even harder to youse. Perhaps they will make a MAX T and match your name!

Love the people that says they are too big.... A friend of mine told me the same when I bought my Galaxy Note3, after 4 years he bought "a big" smartphone! HAHAHAHA. He loosed 4 years of BIG SCREEN just because "everyone" used to have "smaller screen" HAHAHAHAH That's what a call TLD ( The Last Dumb)
And at one point the earth was flat. Change is hard for some people, but quite easy when everyone else has accepted the change. The savvy ones see the change coming and get in early.

Does anyone know how to set up a sim card within this device? I went to T-Mobile and purchased a pre paid sim, placed it in watch and nothing is happening....any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
That's odd. It should work with T-Mobile. Not sure how you would troubleshoot that. Check out to see if the T-Mobile recommended APN is supported. If you don't know what that is, check with your carrier for help. This is right up their alley.

You are probably right. Of course, Apple has huge operating expenses with stores in malls all around the world, so it's $50 watch parts, $200 each for marketing. China spends basically zero for marketing, just giving a few watches for review on media blogs, so they can cut out most of that middle cost.
