Too bad it doesn't run Android 10. Recent full-blown Android watches do, even if it is behind. Android 7 is way too old.

I love it.
I can watch Netflix,RUclips, Call a lyft/uber, Listen to music, make calls. Take pictures with the watch itself and Even customize my own watch faces with the internal photo editor. And its waterproof! I LOVE THIS WATCH. Better than most competing watches

This is getting close to what i really want in a phone replacement smart watch, but at this point, no 5g, old android version, missing some of the sensors from high end and even mid-tier smart watches, there are just too many drawbacks to replace a phone with it. What I think would really do well IF done correctly, would be a foldable or rollable screen on a watch, where it could be pretty small in watch mode, I'm sure it would still be thic, but probably wouldn't need to be any thicker than this one, then get wider or taller when you want to use it as a phone, I'm sure the tech has a little way to go till that is really possible to do correctly but give it a few years and maybe.
On your biometrics question, I think finger print reader, either under screen or in a button, and pulse ID working together would be great, I've never liked face ID on anything, but maybe that's just because I haven't tried it on enough phones where it's actually good.
You don't need 5G on a watch ! 4G Is more than enough to do everything online.

I always like big watches, actually, all my watches are big b4 I found a very big Lemled smart wartch. the draw back was the battery life but I still love it cos its stand alone and I have an extra simcard on it which makes it bridge between a phone and a watch. A still searching for one with a longer battery life span. its a beauty for those of us who like big watches
As someome with big arms and hands I'm biased but if my Fossil Gen 6 was a bit bigger for battery space I would love it! It's just about the only thing I would want to change.
Biometrics would be nice to have, probably on a button. But I only have to input my pin once a day after charging so it's not the biggest thing.
We want more videos!!!! I dont reallt care about sport apps or heartrate monitor... i would love to have good camera and microsd card slot...! And... no bezels with more smooth experience...and.. updates! Please review a Kospet Prime 2.

This design has been around for a few years now, Lemfo and one other company has manufactured various versions over time (haha), RUclips's 'Smartwatch Tics' has videos on them. The main reason why it is a chonkster is mainly because of a lack of megafunds to invest in design and manufacturing, although Chinese smartwatch manufacturers may be sizeable, they still aren't as big as Samsung, Apple and the like... Just imagine if Samsung or Apple did make a version of this.. It would be slimmer, less bezel size, better integrated cameras and other tech... 🤔 😎🇬🇧
Hello, can you keep the video recording whilst the screen goes black, If that happens, so you don't have the hidden screen recording. Whilst its records. Also, does it upload to the smartphone automatically?

Well it can't do everything a phone can. Phones have more power than a Smartwatch. Yeah but I would still use both like when I can't reach my phone I still got my Smartwatch to tell me what goes on in the Internet.
It's cool to use a third party launcher and you can really customize it. Not all of them were working landscape mode but lawn chair works great. You can use double tap for assistant or something.

Give it 2 to 3 years and I bet Samsung will try something similar. They weren't to first to come up with 5 inch size phone with the original note, but they made the idea popular.

It's going on the right track. It just needs to be bezel-less so that the screen's length is reduced and it needs to have a curved screen, then it would be perfect! 👌

Ever heard of the lemfo lemX? It's a massive (around 2" round display) watch with physical sim slot and full android apps. Sadly not well translated and full android on a round display is terrible, along with missing facer support because I could only install the literal smartphone facer app. Using GW4 now and it's, of course, much better

watchphone isn't exactly new; had a 2G watchphone back in 2007, but those had tiny simple touchscreen where you'll have to use the supplied tiny stylus to type on and uses miniSIM card, along with some small hardware buttons for the basics... listening to music (with only 256MB on board) and doing calls had to be done via a 2.5mm jack earphone; there's a built-in tiny speaker which is barely usable and the mic always picks up vibration sounds from the wrist... battery life is basically nonsense though (comparable to most smartwatches these days), as the sim slot took up most of the real estate, despite the device being slightly thick in size...
surprised took these people more than a decade to release a modern version like this...

I would have got one long ago but I had a bad experience buying from there once and will never do it again alas. Which is a shame as they have so much to offer. Glad to see you again.

If this can become flexible or semi-flixible then it could have legs for the future. Size is good. You could wear it on your wrist palm-up instead of a tradition watch as back-of-hand up - might be easier to use then.
Large is always good but as long as i can play music an videos any size will do...oh and also internet.

Hello Mike, I really like this review. The idea of a "device" on the wrist is great! I have a Galaxy 4(classic). I got it for the biometrics. I have some difficulties getting them to work. Perhaps I'm old school, but I can't seem to feel comfortable with it. I do use it to track my sleep. I am a Watch Enthusiast so I like conventional watches. However, I toyed with the idea of putting my phone on a running strap and wearing it on my wrist/forearm. LOL :-).

cool video. nice apple watch stand. also they do make an attachment for your iwatch that gives you a camera. Samsung Watch can also do what iwatch can. as to which does it better thats always preference and testing.

Honestly, that is one of the reasons I love the Galaxy Watch (not classic). Even with fairly average sized wrists, and as a male, I prefer the 40mm Galaxy Watch (not classic). I'm not sure why, but I just love the smaller watches

Hmmm bold decision to review it. I’m afraid to my eyes it looks silly and I would feel embarrassed to be seen wearing it. I couldn’t wear my long sleeved shirts with this and the UI looks pretty basic. Yes, of course, if you could smarten up existing more appealingly sized smart watches that would be great but I really struggle to see what this watch offers in terms of smart ideas for the next generation smart watches that any smart phone doesn’t already currently offer.

I do not think that Samsung needs to copy this. All what Samsung needs is to get back to R750 SAMSUNG GEAR S model, It was the best and I wonder why they do not reproduce it again.
