  • I'm so lucky to have this experience! This was one of the coolest things I've been able to do and I'm honored Unique Tours and Rentals reached out to me for this to happen. I've spent the last 5 days in Turks and Caicos training 24 wonderful horses used for ocean tours. It was interesting getting to work with the horses and seeing how adjustments to the environment have been made.

    I just love how these guys were like a couple of sponges, so eager to learn. I hope their business does really well.

    This really moved me.

    I want a "love" button for this video; not just a "like"!! I give these men accolades for reaching out to you to further their knowledge, and you for being willing to help them (of course the location didn't hurt lol). Thank you for taking us along; it is both heartwarming and inspiring. Glad Andrea got to go with you!

    Sam can you add animal kinesiology to your skill set
    I'm amazed by how small things make huge differences - and how you can find a way for the horse to communicate to you about diet, colleagues, work preferences - anything. And putting things in the mix (information like apple trees are also for us and if they eat the windfalls ok, and even shake the tree to get more fruit, but ring barking or ruining it is not sharing with us. Also our donkeys have been houdini's for 20 years and since I've been learning kinesiology they haven't done anything terrible (I've been working on the herd dynnamics, each individual, the geobiology, their health, their concerns, histories etc etc - so fascinating

    Wow this is so awesome to see. I’ve heard tons of horror stories of facilities that run guided tours both in the US and over seas. It’s amazing to see these guys so willing to learn and make their horses more comfortable

    So cool they were so willing to learn, and you were so willing to teach. Plenty of people would not ask for help out of pride or ignorance. I hope they continue to learn and improve.

    What an awesome way to enjoy the island and help the guys learn more about training. You might want to arrange to revisit in winter time so you can enjoy some sunshine and hot weather.

    I think Nickle was in a lot of pain from that saddle, and that is likely why he didn’t want to be mounted

      Saddle was a bad fit and his riders are too big for him - Poor lil guy's probably hurting

    No hate but the guy on the trail ride at 2:00 bothered be so much he kept tapping on his horse. Personally I think that the continuous tapping is alot but idk. But the fact that they reached out is amzing!

    I've never seen a horse with a broken ear before. 😧

    • @jesseelisabeatty8205
      @jesseelisabeatty8205 2 года назад +1

      Sometimes, they will bite and pull down an ear to have control, like twitching a lip with a chain, its supposed to " calm them down" im not an expert. But that is what someone told me many years ago. I guesz cowboys used to grab an ear hold their head..climb aboard and " buck" out horses..smh

    • @jimmyyounger618
      @jimmyyounger618 2 года назад

      @@jesseelisabeatty8205 Damn sad. Kind of makes you want to get a hold of their ear with a pair of vice grips, yank them around a bit and ask them if they feel any calmer, doesn't it?
