The utopian scene is hands-down the most unnerving scene in the franchise. Just how eerily peaceful it is, all of the characters smiling serenely like nothing is wrong, and the fact that there’s NO MUSIC AT ALL (aside from some wind chimes). Then once Yoda starts to break the illusion, everyone except Dooku just kinda dies, and Dooku’s eyes turn red as he attacks Yoda. I honestly think this scene is more disturbing than any violent scene in Star Wars.

Maybe Yoda began to sympathize with Dooku. After all, how did Dooku feel knowing that his own apprentice, Qui-Gon, was killed by a Sith Lord because the rest of the Jedi did not send aid? Hell, Qui-Gon encountered this Sith Lord before, on Tatooine, and the Jedi still didn't intervene.

Ahsoka leaving on her own didn't do that, but certainly the 'trial' did, however if he had followed her, discarded his jedi mantle, he might have broke the trap.

To those who complain about Ahsoka’s vagueness/overacting- the point of this vision was simply to dig at Yoda’s greatest fears, and then offer him what he wants most. Yoda’s greatest fear isn’t Anakin, it’s the Sith. Therefore, the vision plays to that. And also, the overacting was intentional as well I think, because Ahsoka in this vision is basically a giant guilt trip. She is the person who embodies his failure the most, so the things she said, the way she acted, were not designed to be real but to dig at the specific points of pain Yoda harbored. Basically I think the whole thing used Yoda’s psychology against him rather than actually showing him the future in this moment. It was symbolic and purposeful, designed to show him exactly what he feared would happen at the end of the war: the Sith won, and the Jedi were purged. Anyway, that’s how I read it.

Small detail I noticed: Here at 3:24 and 4:05, Dooku's lightsaber is shown without the claw at the top, but once he ignites it at 4:12, the claw is back. This shows that Dooku must've modified his lightsaber once he had turned to the dark side, possibly to become more powerful in combat or just to be more intimidating. I like how this small little detail gives us some insight into Dooku's life as a Jedi and his turn to the dark side.
You can hear Battle of Heroes at 0:17. That heavily implies that Anakin was the one who killed them all(even though this is an illusion). This was when he went full on Dark Side.

This clearly shows what Yoda truly wanted. You see Yoda wanted a place full of peace and no war. Dooku once said in the book version "Yoda is the problem of the jedi order. He isn't conquered by the dark side but he never noticed how careless he had become from it's presence around him because he has been way too consumed by the light side itself that he no longer sees the flaws and what the Jedi council has become even before Palpatine showed his true means."

I just got the "Tarentetek on Kashyyk" part ...what an easter egg Also yoda failed in possibly the biggest way that he could have. He assigned Ahsoka to Anakin personally, insisting heavily on it. Her part was to bring him closer to the light, as he mentioned as Vader in rebels, and act as Anakin's anchor. But in the end yoda was manipulated by Sidious to exile her from the order, thus fracturing the faith Anakin had in the jedi, and sending him closer to the dark side. Therefore Yoda's exclamation of "not strong enough i was, failed i have" was him realizing that this is what caused the Anakin'a downfall, and he didn't catch on to the fact that he was being manipulated. Later he uses his training to let go of what happened, because there is no way to undo what he has done, and he needed another plan.
It's not about another plan, but about fundamental understanding of yourself. In those series we see A LOT of parallels with budhism. Letting go of yourself means that you won't be limited by your personality and thus you may understand how the world works better. In the end, it brought him closer to immortality.

Where it appeared that Ashoka was killed by her former Master and friend after I've succumbed to the dark side. Jesus, imagine Yoda watching that scene with Ezra, yeesh, but then again, Star wars rebels didn't exist at the time.
Yoda, Dooku, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Anakin together as Jedi. Honestly something I really wish we got in an alternate timeline. It would be amazing to see how different things would be. It's honestly sad how happy Yoda was to see everything so peaceful, the temple how he wished it had been, only for him to remember it's a lie. I feel bad for Yoda in this one scene, it makes him realize how out of hand things really are.
I love this arc and especially this episode because it makes yoda feel more human by showing his flaws and develops him really well, and I like the force priestesses.

+KON- EL actually thanks to the prophecy Qui Gon was doomed as long as he stuck around Anakin. even if he survived, he would turn into another Count Dooku. remember that Qui Gon was kinda of a Dark Jedi and probably part of the reasons Dooku turned into a "Dark Jedi" and later a Sith. as his Master i assume he influenced Dooku a lot to disobey the council if he wants.

+Sean Lann he stayed true to the prophecy. he brought balance. at the time the Jedi order was stronger, so there was no balance. then Sith became stronger. Anakin eliminated them both, hence he "redeemed" himself and brought balance. that was Dooku's plan as well though but who knows if he was strong enough to resist the urge at the end. plus Anakin only changed his mind cause his son was in danger, otherwise even Anakin probably would stay a Sith.
You can tell how much he really misses Dooku. And Dooku's expression later in the arc, when Palpatine uses alchemy to mess with Yoda, you can tell Dooku does miss him too in some way

Just how eerily peaceful it is, all of the characters smiling serenely like nothing is wrong, and the fact that there’s NO MUSIC AT ALL (aside from some wind chimes). Then once Yoda starts to break the illusion, everyone except Dooku just kinda dies, and Dooku’s eyes turn red as he attacks Yoda. I honestly think this scene is more disturbing than any violent scene in Star Wars.

Maybe Yoda began to sympathize with Dooku. After all, how did Dooku feel knowing that his own apprentice, Qui-Gon, was killed by a Sith Lord because the rest of the Jedi did not send aid? Hell, Qui-Gon encountered this Sith Lord before, on Tatooine, and the Jedi still didn't intervene.
Dooku's ideas and reasons are what pulled him to the Dark side. He wasn't a Sith, but a Gray Jedi.

To those who complain about Ahsoka’s vagueness/overacting- the point of this vision was simply to dig at Yoda’s greatest fears, and then offer him what he wants most. Yoda’s greatest fear isn’t Anakin, it’s the Sith. Therefore, the vision plays to that. And also, the overacting was intentional as well I think, because Ahsoka in this vision is basically a giant guilt trip. She is the person who embodies his failure the most, so the things she said, the way she acted, were not designed to be real but to dig at the specific points of pain Yoda harbored. Basically I think the whole thing used Yoda’s psychology against him rather than actually showing him the future in this moment. It was symbolic and purposeful, designed to show him exactly what he feared would happen at the end of the war: the Sith won, and the Jedi were purged. Anyway, that’s how I read it.

Small detail I noticed: Here at 3:24 and 4:05, Dooku's lightsaber is shown without the claw at the top, but once he ignites it at 4:12, the claw is back. This shows that Dooku must've modified his lightsaber once he had turned to the dark side, possibly to become more powerful in combat or just to be more intimidating. I like how this small little detail gives us some insight into Dooku's life as a Jedi and his turn to the dark side.

This clearly shows what Yoda truly wanted. You see Yoda wanted a place full of peace and no war. Dooku once said in the book version "Yoda is the problem of the jedi order. He isn't conquered by the dark side but he never noticed how careless he had become from it's presence around him because he has been way too consumed by the light side itself that he no longer sees the flaws and what the Jedi council has become even before Palpatine showed his true means."

Also yoda failed in possibly the biggest way that he could have. He assigned Ahsoka to Anakin personally, insisting heavily on it. Her part was to bring him closer to the light, as he mentioned as Vader in rebels, and act as Anakin's anchor. But in the end yoda was manipulated by Sidious to exile her from the order, thus fracturing the faith Anakin had in the jedi, and sending him closer to the dark side. Therefore Yoda's exclamation of "not strong enough i was, failed i have" was him realizing that this is what caused the Anakin'a downfall, and he didn't catch on to the fact that he was being manipulated.
Later he uses his training to let go of what happened, because there is no way to undo what he has done, and he needed another plan.

It's not about another plan, but about fundamental understanding of yourself. In those series we see A LOT of parallels with budhism. Letting go of yourself means that you won't be limited by your personality and thus you may understand how the world works better. In the end, it brought him closer to immortality.

I love this arc and especially this episode because it makes yoda feel more human by showing his flaws and develops him really well, and I like the force priestesses.
