Very nice! Got same bike in January and have added reverb, 740mm on one el guapo bars in white, 50mm on one CNC stem, 203mm front rotor, 180mm rear (both superstar saw blade with organic pads) spoon scoop saddle in black/blue, maxxis ardents, shimano dx spds, ergon evo grips in blue. Having a recurring issue with the pivot at the rear mech coming loose but easily tightened. Love it!!

Sounds nice. My linkage comes loose too.

I love this bike. Got it recently and going to add my wellgo mg1 pedals on and some new grips (probably lizard skin chargers). There is no need for a dropped for me as I'm 14 and the seat is right down on the 18" frame so when I stand up I already have the full range of motion.
If you are going to use as an everyday bike, definitely get insurance and a proper D-lock with extension. The rear wheel is very easy to remove so invest in a lock with an extension so you can go through the frame and both wheels.

I bought this bike here in the States from a fellow returning to the UK. I think it is a 2016 but I find other online reviews showing a black and orange bike. It is more than just a different colorway, the top tube graphics are different. Does anyone know the story behind these two looks for what might be the same bikes?

Hi what’s the black big behind the rear shock called

Like what you've done with that, looks nice. I was looking at getting a hardtail, probably a Boardman, but having looked at this for just £100 more think I may have to go full sus. What's it like to ride and is it solid enough to ride locked out on road. I ask because I'm between a few trains but I'll have to ride between 5 and 10 miles to get to them. Is the gearing ok for road riding or am I gunna be missing those extra gears you get with a 3 ring setup???

U get used to the 1x11 setup. Not the best bike for commuting between trains tho. A CX bike may be better for u. Boardman do a decent range too😀

Cheers for the reply mate, really do appreciate that. I've been looking at some others from the range but this one really caught my eye. Looks good and even more so with the mods you've made to it. I may wait a little while longer to see what the new range brings. It's not like I'm short on bikes or anything just never gone for a full sue before. Cheers again mate you have helped me quite a bit... :)

+Art Hunter I have got this bike for Christmas.
It's very nice to ride, clean, smooth and quiet!!! I would definitely recommend as a bike for MTB.
At the moment Halfords have a sale on all Boardman bikes(if you live in the UK).
The only downside is that the rear shock doesn't have lockout😢
Overall a brilliant bike tomorrow I'm going to try it on the trail and enjoy the luxury of a full sus:-D

Cheers Charlie I really appreciate that. I've over spent on Christmas so only have about £500 spare till next pay day. I'm definitely looking at either a Boardman or a Froome MTB at the moment though that's for sure...

+Art Hunter Would defo recommend a Boardman fs
For a decent hardtail you might want to look at the voodoo wanga, my dad got a cracking deal for £300 and the only bad thing was that the bar end was missing from one end (such a big deal *laughing face*)
