I have to say it again because you did it again. Those welds sure are pretty! Every one of them. And they are text book perfect also. Excellent work young man, your continual efforts are noticed. @@DonnDIY Very interesting that you should say that. When I was young I had a mentor. He was a genius. All through the years I heard many people say to him how amazingly smart he was because he was a builder/inventor just like you. He always responded to them; "I am not smart, I'm lazy". So,. Awesome, Donn! And most of us from the West have huge piles of "junk" if you just think about where to look for it! Donn, as a crafter, I'll be glad to watch anything you want to build- I will likely see something I never realized. But you sir, are also a farmer- it's just not your way to spend your way to a completed project- so you build a nice, nominally flat welding table to make more complicated things in less time- the kind of answers a man big ambitious projects in mind and not a lot of money. I remember your band saw mill- it was mostly recycled stuff already on the farm. It's who you are! FR
If you're talking about the non-completed 4x4 build then I must clarify thay I will complete it. I'm having proper shake-down runs on it to see whether I wan't to change anything on it or not. I've already modified a couple of things and there will be more probably. After that I can clean and paint it for good and call it finished. 😉
@@DonnDIY IN the US the intellectuals call them "prototypes in development", the tinkers with dirty hands call them "endless projects".And I was taking about all your projects- all have enlarged or improved since you first put them to their tasks. Very nice table. One idea - you can make extending ends using a square profile that fits inside existing long tubes if you need longer support for welding big things.
Great use of scrap material !!! The price of steel is so expensive & Lumber as well here in the U.S. 😵. Great work as always love your attention to the smallest detail !! Love your work bro !!👍
built a stand for my wood stove i did the bolts for the feet but added a washer to the bolt head gave it a bigger foot print .. great build .. thank you for the video ..
Mate you have come a long way. I remember when you had an angle grinder and a stick welder. I talked with you when you were thinking of getting a chop saw, and it was a big investment. Well done.
I used Telwin Mastermig 220 back then. But yes, people cringed when I did all the cuts with an angle grinder. And after I bought the wet cutoff saw people got mad that it was expensive and not reachable for a regular DIY guy in his shed. However, I was dreaming about a wet cutoff saw since 2013. 😁
I love your builds. I hate to be the harbinger of doom, but I'll bet you in one year the welding table top will be warped. I've built 4 of these. All of them heat warped. I'm to the point that I want to pump and cycle cold water through the table to prevent warpage. I think the only way is about 1&1/2 (38 mm) inch thick cold rolled steel for the top Also, as a fun fact every table I made I painted it red like yours.
I was afraid of this thing getting warped. However, I needed it fast for my buddy's CNC router table and it did the job. I'd like to build one from CNC laser cut parts cut from sheet steel.
Just found this video. I wish I thought of this before buying a welding table. but now I know for the next table. I like your chop saw. it made me laugh.
I want to build my own or buy one so that I can build a much better pet door. The one I made really works well. Yet a cnc router would make it far better and can add in the things that would make it better and also make it far better to put together.
@@DonnDIY Well now you have to think about expansion for a cnc router room and the future cnc builds that you can do. I think there is a ton of small cool things one can make with a cnc router from shelves, cabinets and a whole sort of stuff. Either way I look forward to the future builds! I wonder what the next big project might be.
Great idea putting in the holes for the drop in clamps. I’ve thought about putting a rotating mounted sliding clamp on either the middle back or a back corner of my welding table and was wondering what you thought about it
Hopefully the tacks holding those upper slats hold up, since no filler metal was used. Otherwise, nice table. My first job on my table top was also fabbing table legs lol.
Nice unit. Using cold saw without safety glasses isn't smart or a good example. Fireball Tool built a welding table with many innovative features. It is worth checking out. It is dead flat.
Hey Donn does that TIG Gun have the hand controls or does it use the foot pedal? The benefit of your scrap is that it has the clamp holes already in it!!!! Awesome use of scrap.

Good looking MIG welds. TIG torch is a little different style than we use here in the U S. I like the jaws on the saw. Overall great work.

Hi,schön gemacht wie immer.Kannst Du einmal ein Video machen,in dem Du die Scheunentore erneuerst?Alles Gute und Gesundheit
Danke. The Scheunentore muss ich neue machen.
Useful!
💪💪 It is. Now I'm using only this table for the fabrication.
Hi Donn and everyone,
great video !! Great job and very clear images .... Congrats !! ;-)
I expected half this video to be you drilling all the holes. Much easier for you to have them already there!
Great job...
On the table legs you could put a piece of small tube in side with holes so the table can be adjusted higher or lower
I feel that would take out some of the rigidity in the table.
good job
Very good work as usual, very nice video! Go on! Best wishes from Germany°
Danke!

What you made looks more like a torch-burning bed than a welding table.

Mmmmmmm, ice cream!
😁 Man's got to eat!
No earth tab? Just curious as to why you don't use them on a dedicated welding table? Otherwise fantastic use of scrape!!!! 👌
I put a twist-lock directly on my table. Best thing ever.
Great idea putting in the holes for the drop in clamps. I’ve thought about putting a rotating mounted sliding clamp on either the middle back or a back corner of my welding table and was wondering what you thought about it

Nothing to fill.
There is some posts about table warping. Would not 3 cross braces stop that? Square tube to heavy angle iron should do the trick.
