I bent twice as large and thicker square tube had problems with it kinking some solved the problem with plain sand pored inside it kept the shape then pour out and weld as you did.

Nice idea👍but easier to get some old wheel rims and modify them so you get different diameters 😉😉

To make the mandrel I have seen people use a cars rear brake disc. It’s a good solid handy instant perfect circle
That could, certainly, be good. You just have to make sure whatever you use will fully support
the material you will be bending, to avoid possible distortion. 😁✌🖖

my question is why didn't yours dimple on the inside of the outside I see some of these experts saying you got to do this and do that they all say they bend and put dimples on the inside and the outside why didn't yours it looks like it's thick.
Depends on the bend radius
Whether there are dimples or not, it depends on the diameter of the metal being bent
