Edit: Since some aren't convinced, *here's a short list* of the many ailments sleep deprivation has been shown to increase the risk of: Heart attack, stroke, Alzheimer's, dementia, cancer, obesity, anxiety, loss of focus, emotional instability, and on, and on. Our body does the most work fighting disease, healing itself and our minds as we rest. Goodnight😊
4 to 5 hours of sleep are about average for me. Im always on the move. I don't take steroids I take high caffeine energy drinks which isn't really good for your health and I'm lucky if I get 6 hours
its recommended to sleep between 10om/11pm (to be in bed) and 5am/6am you must be at your legs at 6am or brain will start to crumble that chemical reaction you got from sleep and most often youll wake up tired. So that is 7/8h of sleep you go to sleep in 12pm wel fuck it sleep 6h and pray to get 8 next day.
My dad would always tell me when I worked with him “you can sleep when you’re dead, make the most of the time you have now” I get up early and get shit done before I even go to work. I’m glad that stuck with me.
There's no better feeling than starting the day at 5 am and watching your coworkers start their day s few hours later when you've already got do much work done
Steven Goodman sleep faster, get them jobs done before 10 pm. Wake up at 5 and start your day, trust me the feeling of getting done so many things before someone in your house wakes up is a really good feeling..
I remember watching this video a couple years back and I was going through difficult obstacles in my life. It was a swirling vortex of pain and misery but then nothing changed .
how r u doing now? cause i feel like im in a constant cycle of disappointing others, myself, feeling completely worthless and then not doing anything to try to change.
I use my tablet. I put the alarm on high and pick the most annoying, god awful sound. I set it for 530-6 or so. No one else in the house gets up for at least an hour. I then place it far away. So, it wakes me and I think "oh crap, I don't want to wake someone else up". Run across the room, turn it off and hey! Look! Let's get going. Won't work for all, but sure does for me.
Not sure how acknowledging that someone else is somewhere getting stronger when we waste time is supposed to motivate us. That one missed the mark, but I totally get what you were going for.....I think
The 5 4 3 2 1 strategy changed my life. It's like training a dog to sit. When you tell yourself "54321", jump out of that bed and splash cold water on your face, look in the mirror and say "it's time to start".
It’s really hard to stay positive. Especially when you are constantly bombarded with bad news or just things never seem to go your way. But I keep pushing and these videos help a lot
Same. It seems like it's some bad news or some news not in my favor every single day hit after hit, but I'm trying. Here watching these videos for the same reason. Keep going you're not alone.
Depressional thoughts are like a personality, and it's built over time by habit. The decision you need to make is regarding what you regularly choose to think about. You can either build up a stream-of-consciousness that is negative, or do the opposite, which is positive and associated with your own individual success. Also, don't try. There is no try. There is only movement, and flow. Trying is like dipping your toe into water, but never fully embracing the uncertainty of what would happen If you jumped in. You got this, Man.
My cure for laziness is simple: find something you like doing enough that it’s in your mind when you do nothing and you wish you would be doing that thing. Once you’re up you can do that thing or do chores while keeping in mind that after you’re done you can do that thing. Finding THE thing can be difficult but once you find it you have a goal and you will naturally find the strength to go towards it.
I have visions of greatness, I dream on being something great in his world and I’m so young, 21 years old. I’ve completed high school and haven’t done anything else with my life. I want to do so much but I can’t even start. Starting is so hard for me. It’s like my mind and heart wants it all but my body doesn’t let me. I need some kind of motivation..
If you don’t know where to go. Join the Army national guard if you live in America. Your college will be paid for, depending on your MOS in the military you can get a job outside of it doing something close to it. You can serve your country, your community and grow your career outside of it.
Edward Castillo and another hint. You’ll gain awesome leadership skills if you show that in your training. Those leader skills will help you in your outside career
My cure for “laziness” was anti-depressants; like night and day. It took of year of trial and error of new medications, but when I started the last one, I went from not getting out of bed unless I had to, to being my old self. Not everyone is lazy. If you’re reading this and you can’t get motivated to do ANYTHING (unless you absolutely have to, like work, bills, taxes, etc.), consider seeing a psychiatrist and/or therapist to help diagnose what the problem is #YANA

I really needed this, I want to change and I’m doing it actually. I want to do something big in my life not only for myself for my family. I make the plan A that Arnold talked about. @@devangparab1014 I couldn't agree with you more. People, including myself, are motivated by success. Steroids give you tremendous results. You still have to put in the work, but you'll reach a place you just can't get to naturally. It's funny tho, because we support steroid users... cover of men's fitness, movie roles, book deals etc. Imagine if we did that for cocaine users (actually we kinda do with Hollywood), bank robbers, blood doping cyclists. I mean, Lance got his metals stripped and was fined. Arnold became a movie star then the fucking governor of Ca! And he openly admitted to using. Devil's advocate: steroids users only hurt themselves, bank robbers kill people. WRONG. The unattainable image that steroid users create is undeniably damaging to the male and, while lesser so, the female psyche. We can equate that to the detrimental effects of air brushing and photoshoped cover models for adolescent girls and women. The DSM has defined body dismorphic disorder, and individuals like Arnold, The "Crack" Rock, and many many other popular people are fueling that diagnosis and literally creating suffering and anxiety. These FACTS are unpopular, but undeniable. To summarize, I would be alot more motivated on a regular basis if I got the results of a junkie and people threw money and praise at me on a regular basis. Discipline, passion, knowledge, healthy outlets, positive internal talk, and a strong understanding of who you are and why you are here will keep you going most of the time. Get a handle on those and you won't need to have drug users and cheaters as role models, because you will be your own hero. Feel free to ridicule and berate me, but at least come with a solid argument.
DONT SLEEP LESS THAN 8 HOURS. do your research. your mind works when your asleep as well. getting less sleep to do something productive isnt helping you in any way. revolve your day around 8 hours.
@@erikschauer5080 Its pretty simple, you should try to have better sleep not more sleep. Im not advocating sleeping 5 hours a day. I couldn't do it. Ever. Some, not all, studies say 8 hours but thats a third of your whole day gone. I'm at least trying to cut my sleep down to 7 hours. And if you have a healthy enough sleep routine and life style I could easily see 6 hours being a fine enough time to sleep. But the real argument to be had is how productive you are. It doesn't matter how long you sleep if youre still a lazy cunt when you wake up.
@@realcheesy6384 science shows us that performance decreases when we get less than the recommended amount of sleep... 5-6 hours isn't enough and you're not doing yourself any favours! 8 hours is a third of your day WELL spent, because our bodies need sleep to rejuvenate. I wish 5 hours was enough, I'd get so much done lol! But that amount of sleep is going to, at best, make you feel groggy and at worst, decreases your health to an extreme level.

there is no such thing as that we need 8 hours of sleep minimumm I am a live example of that I used to sleep 8 to 9 hours and then made up my mind to sleep 5 to 6 the first 2 weeks you will fee tired because you changed your sleep routine which is normal but then I Had the same energy and everything was normal and I had a lot more time to do everythingg try it before you hate on itt
K B Just gonna say that if you do that, you’re gonna miss out on A LOT, especially if you’re young/a student. I understand the mentality of waking up before everyone else and getting shit done, but that comes at a cost.
I'm 17, wake up at 5:30 and go to the gym. Get home at 7, shower and eat, then go to school at 8:30. Get out of school around 2:30 and go to work at 3:30, then get out of work at 9:30 and be home by 10. Sleep and repeat. @@dumbmoot1708 Depends on the type of extraordinary person. Some can do whatever the fuck they want because what they want to do happens to be both work and a hobby. Some people need discipline. Some people money into stocks, make 30k a day, then go back to sleep, doesn't make them any less extraordinary.
Getting up early isn’t necessarily going to make you more successful. It’s your overall lifestyle that is more important. In fact, not getting enough sleep can hurt your overall performance.
I’ve been doing the 5 second rule for months now, even before seeing this video. One day I was sitting in bed and I knew I had to workout. I I just thought, “you get 5 more seconds of comfort and then you’re working out” and after the five seconds I rolled to the floor and did 20 pushups. Easy as that. And then after the push-ups I was motivated to do more.
I have used the five second in other aspects without really realizing it. I first heard it about approaching people that you might want to take on a date. Once I've tried it, it has worked every single time and I no longer feel too shy to approach someone. Those who still argue about the sleep thing; some people's schedule may be different than others. If you feel like sacrificing another hour of time in other aspects for sleep because you know your body and find that more appropriate then do so. I try to plan out my daily schedule so I can reinforce and follow the routine. Sticking with the plan and constant reminders of the long term goal is key for me.
I use an alarm with a setting that means it can't be turned off unless I scan the barcode of a book I keep downstairs. That has changed my life and I get up at 6 am every day.
i was diagnosed with a condition called CMT when i was 17, its a muscle wearing condition which deteriorates over my life, ontop of that i have mild scoliosis, i want a better life for myself but no matter what i do i always will have this holding me back. i struggle to stay motivated, how do i keep going and find discipline to not give up
You stop telling yourself this is holding you back. You start congratulating yourself for what you do get done. I have my own condition and sometimes there are things I shouldn't do, focus on what you can do not what you can't. You see all these things you've have done it gives you courage to work on the next moment.
Lol these people don't realise that the richest man in the world, Elon Musk sleeps 6 hours daily. He clearly mentioned that lack of sleep leads to lack of productivity. Sleep well but be disciplined and wake up when you are supposed to and work hard the entire day. That is the true key to success.
I’m at uni now final year and wouldn’t have said I’ve grafted hard to get here which I know is not something to be proud off, I wish I had the motivation to do well at uni but it’s so boring I find it difficult
Tbh getting up earlier in the morning really did help a lot with my daily schedule because it gave me an extra hour to do my morning ritual and still having plenty of time left to do the extra thing i want to do everyday, but can't get myself to get done after coming home from work because there is no more energy left for the extra things that are fun or somewhat important for your ambitions to grow..
The thing that really opened my eyes my uncle told my nephew "look don't aspire to be like him" and that stuck with me so now I'm going to change my life around
thats because your body naturally adopts whatever rhythms you force it to adopt. If you try to wake up at 5am every day for a month youre going to start waking up on or even before 5 because your body knows its going to get up at 5
@@csick11 thats because most people dont wake up and go to sleep at the same time each day so their body doesnt get the chance to form those endogenous rhythms. I agree as well waking up to an alarm feels like shit compared to waking up naturally on a rhythm
The single greatest tip to getting more things accomplished is to make every task durational... Meaning when you have something you need to do, tell yourself that you only get an hour to do it or work on it... Or whatever amount of time works for you... Because of the limited time you're more likely to start it, and then once you've started it's that much more difficult to stop and move on to something else
Or convince yourself "Just do it for 10min". After that threshold has passed, you have some momentum. For intense concentration tasks (for things that you're not familiar with) you need to keep "pushing" for around 90 minutes - at that point you should be in the proverbial "flow state".

I don't care what anyone says, 5 hours of sleep isn't healthy. Take care of your mind it's all you've got!
Goodnight😊

Slinky TV as a teenager i physiologically need more sleep, just 8 hours. But as i grow older i’ll try seeing if less works
its recommended to sleep between 10om/11pm (to be in bed) and 5am/6am you must be at your legs at 6am or brain will start to crumble that chemical reaction you got from sleep and most often youll wake up tired. So that is 7/8h of sleep you go to sleep in 12pm wel fuck it sleep 6h and pray to get 8 next day.

With steroids everything sure is
@@devangparab1014 I couldn't agree with you more.

@@realcheesy6384 I’m gonna listen to the countless studies that say I need to sleep 7-8 hours.

I’m so proud that I get up when my alarm goes off, without fail. I have not once hit snooze.
My problem is getting up early morning and trying my best to do something.
