- Vattayappam is a Kerala style steamed rice cake usually served as a snack or breakfast. It is prepared mostly during Christmas and Easter days. This video is about an easy recipe of Vattayappam using rice flour. The main ingredients are rice flour, grated coconut and sugar. Enjoy the recipe.

🍲 SERVES: 10
🧺 INGREDIENTS
Roasted Rice Flour (വറുത്ത അരിപ്പൊടി) - 3 Cups (500 gm)
Water (വെള്ളം) - 1+1+1¼ Cup
Grated Coconut (തേങ്ങ ചിരണ്ടിയത്) - 2 Cups
Garlic (വെളുത്തുള്ളി) - 1 Clove
Cardamom (ഏലക്ക) - 3 to 4 Nos
Sugar (പഞ്ചസാര) - 1 Cup (250 gm)
Salt (ഉപ്പ്) - ¼ Teaspoon
Yeast - ¼ Teaspoon
Ghee (നെയ്യ്) - 2 Teaspoon
Cashew nut (കശുവണ്ടി) -15 Nos (optional)
Raisins (ഉണക്ക മുന്തിരി) - 20 Nos (optional)

Nice demonstration of vattayappam using roasted fine rice flour. I will try this method for easter tomow rice and do it. Many people luke to have it with Coconut milk with sugar. It's very good. Also with chicken or vegetarian stew is also nice. I use sooji rawa for making kappi.
