Great tutorial. Thanks!! I have actually used the erase-backwards technique in Procreate. UGH! 🤣 This is MUCH better. I'm looking forward to trying it out. Well explained, as well.
imagine duplicating a layer would take only a simple, single click instead of holding down on the layer and then clicking duplicate... Idk who is making these decisions, but that guy should work at mcdonalds instead.
I love procreate dreams but for handwriting animation I prefer keynote. Way easier than frame by frame. 😅 Sort of “performing mode”. Specially if done in the ipad with apple pencil.
@@jason_swet definitely! That’s one of the few things that I think its easier in keynote. They also have performing mode, sort of. But way more basic than procreate dreams for sure! Thank you for the video! I enjoyed it!
I love that this is straight to the point. Thanks! One think I usually think when i'm going to Dreams, considering I usually use AE, is about how many fps is better to use in order to not spend hours and hours on onion skin drawing for 4-5 seconds... any thoughts?
When in doubt, just do 12fps. It’s a totally accepted standard. If you know you’re just practicing or if it’s for just a looping gif, try 6fps. I do 6 all the time.
@@angelo_knf yes in animation, its totally acceptable and often the standard to draw "on two's" which is 12 fps. it also usually looks even smoother because of the jitteriness that is more prone to happen at 24 fps. 6 fps is less standard and probably best for GIF's but also just depends on what you're drawing.
Hello, thanks for the tutorial. I managed to animate it as you taught in parts. The frame-by-frame animation flows really well, but the letters don't form after animation and they don't stay static like in your tutorial. That's why I'm stuck. Did I miss something?

🤘What should we animate next??
Any fav logos? Or ideas for the next one?
Can you make a logo please?
ur like the greatest teacher ever !!! O- M - G ..
Being new to both animation and PDreams, I found your tips very helpful. Thank you.
You’re very welcome! ☺️
Hey J. I followed your tutorial when you taught the apple logo on procreate, but using Dreams is so much better. Thanks again
LOOOVE it. Yeah dude soooo much easier. Thanks for watching!
awesome!!!
Really cool effect!

Hey so glad you found it helpful!! Thanks for tuning in! 🤘
This looks so good! Thank you for showing us how to make logos and fonts more interesting and fun.
Thanks for always engaging with the channel Debbie! ❤
I’m a beginner so it seems maybe my step one and your step one are not the same. I’m sure this will come in handy as I understand the app better.
Yep this one jumps right into it. There’s plenty other tutorials on project setup/101. Hope you make it back here though!
Sir can you make more about animations using procreate cause i don't have procreate dream 🙏
Maybe in the future. But right now I’m focused on Dreams. It’s a lot more capable than regular procreate.

Yeah I agree. the holding down duration really adds up over time
100%. There shouldn’t feel like there’s a learning curve from animating GIFs in Procreate to working Procreate Dreams. And yet, here we are.

Keynote? Wow I guess if it works it works right!

That's super cool who you use tools of PD
More of this please.
On it! 🤘

@@jason_swet Thanks, I’ll try 12fps. I thought it would not be very smooth as the standard is 24 but I see people do 12 or less quite often. Cheers!

You should def be able to do this in callipeg! Not sure if it does layer masks the same way but check out my latest tutorial.

Hello! What iPad are you using for animation? I am choosing between Pro and Air 2024
@@TanyaSky both are great! I have the pro.
