    I really loved the TV show Stranger Things, and that's what inspired this case mod. The P400 is an awesome case to work on, full metal and a very sleek design. I plan on building an actual PC inside this case and custom watercooling it, so stay tuned for part 2! I've never done a custom watercooling loop before so hopefully it turns out awesome. I'll leave a list of all the tools and materials I used to create this mod down below, so if you want to use any of the modding methods I showcased in the video you'll know what you need. Thanks for watching!

    Looks killer man! Just received my dark rock pro 4, and did a test fit in the p400, and it fits with a little room to spare. Seems phanteks specs are off a bit if anyone is interested. P400 specs says 160mm CPU cooler height, but the drp4 measures 162.8, but it fits fine guys. Looks awesome as well! Have a good night man!

    I was waiting for this video. Very nice work. The front panel holes are mandatory for this case. I purchased it and got a +8C on motherboard, cpu and gpu, when compared with my previous case, which had an unrestricted (meshed) front panel with same fans as intake and exhaust.

    Dietech-- Man you're still awesome! I'm tellin ya- the fact alone that you've got over 5k views & have ZERO dislikes is a solid showing of the quality content you are consistently producing. Super late to the video, but thanks for the great walk-through. I've been struggling a little with the lack of air flow in the front and was wondering what other people have done. I was thinking about cutting the angled sides of the front panel out and putting mesh in the same way you did. Really helpful to see someone else do almost exactly what I plan to. Thanks!

    great work...looking forward to seeing you conquer water cooling and cable sleeving although i hear say that cable sleeving will leave your hands a mess...maybe a light on the inside of the case which resembles the upside down

    • @DIYTechTube
      @DIYTechTube  7 лет назад +1

      I was thinking it would be cool to do some kind of effect like how there's always little floating pieces in the upside down places. Not sure how I'd get stuff to float in my case though lol

    • @larslovestech
      @larslovestech 7 лет назад

      Dietec it would have to be a lighting effect like a hidden miniature glitter ball or something similar not sure how to implement it to move in the directions you want it to go though, maybe even an LED side screen with the flakes floating on that instead

    Not sure if you remember, but could you let me know which paint did you use for the black layer?
    The gray paint used in the video is a general purpose paint, and from what I found the enamel paint seem to have a darker shade then general purpose paint.
    Also the link to the amazon page is for glossy paint.

    Thinking about modding a P400S (tempered Glass, White) like u did with the PSU Cover and then spray the 4 extra "HDD holders" plastic covers white to then move onto probably doing something to the front due to it's plain and a bit boring looks. Although I have never ever worked with acrylic and therefor lack the tools and knowledge, how much would you take for making on of those with a simple design? Or help me to get everything right and what the cost would be... Thx hopefully u see this //A beginner whom would like to get a taste of modding.

    I know it is a dumb question, but any idea as to how can I create those sticky stencils you used to spray paint over? I have literally no idea how you created them and I want to mod my Phanteks P300. Any tips would be great. I'm going after a R6 Siege theme. So I wanted to spray over a Rainbow 6 Logo on the topic right corner of the side panel. But I don't know how to create that stencil sort of thing with the sticky sheet you used. Any help would be appreciated. Noob here. 😅

      @@DIYTechTube I looked it over, but the machine is too costly. Thanks for letting me know about it. I'll check out the video. I'll look for any alternatives. Great videos by the way. Love the NZXT 500 Lord Tachanka Mod. Keep up the good work. 😬

      SWEETNESS!! I know you guys are on different pages with him restoring old stuff n modding em up, and you take new things n mod em up-- but at the core, you 2 MOD EM UP. I think the 2 channels kinda compliment each other

    Hi, I love your modded PC cases. I thinking about own PC case design like Corsair Carbide 400c, but with inverted motherboard place and different dimensions.
