For real man.. "I never left you, this was all your choice." "I can't just sit around and wait, you're just not someone I can date." Feels are feeling feelsy dude.
Life brings you to those points. Many of us have succumbed to temporary means to an end - drugs, sex/relationships, and self harm whether it be physical or mental. We all need to just be easier on ourselves, in the end this too shall pass my friends ❤
Caleb Donester They did an awesome job, in fact the whole album is killer :) By the way I just covered Nerve over on my channel, would really appreciate any feedback :)
Using pills and flowers to sedate, find me heal me give my faith. I dont know why Parker's lyrics always get to me, I can pretty much relate to everything he sings about in this album. And it feels good knowing that there are other people out there making good music out of bad situations like these.
idk how anyone could dislike this music. the beat, lyrics, emotion, etc. mesh together so well. Thanks Parker & TSSF for repeatedly putting out the best music of the generation.
Because all of the songs are about the same things every time. He always just talks about girls and being sad over distance and pent up emotion. I wish he would actually mature as a lyricist because it's getting weaker and weaker with each new album and release
Oh god, relax! I support TSSF when I buy the albums and tickets to the shows! Not just Parker!!! If I want to say Parker and The Cannons... Who Cares!! So I don't need to chill, especially when some troll calls me a IDIOT!! Go bother someone else
I get people are indifferent about this track but I think this is one of the most refreshing tracks TSSF has put out in awhile. It's dynamic, melodic, lyrically strong and hits hard. It varies a little from their usual sound but not in a bad way what-so-ever. This song has made me way more excited for this album than "Nerve" did.
Excellent song. They've done such a great job at exploring their sound without deviating too far from it. I seriously think they're the best pop punk band right now.
Navy blue is about grief, nerve is about wondering with a hint of denial, solo is about feeling angry but yet still sad hence "indigo" A reddish blue color
Really love the mellow vibe this song puts off. And Nerve was pretty upbeat which is classic TSSF. Excited to see what route they go with the full album!
I just hate it when people complains about every TSSF album sounds the same. I'm so fed up with bands that try to evolve their sound in weird directions and try to be something they're not. TSSF are certain about their identity and that is fucking awesome. Hope they never change.
Brandon Badtorff, my point is still valid. They're still both great songs, and are great in their own respects. Considering melody and lyrics are really 2/3 of a song, I would say that it's pretty damn different, and considering the rhythm is different as well, I'd say your argument doesn't have much validity. But, whatever. It's an opinion, dude. They're like assholes. Everybody has one.
+Elyjah m. Structure man, they're both the same. You could literally sing Nerve over top of this and it would fit perfectly vice versa lol I'm not doggin them I'm just saying it's the same; intro verse, pre chorus, chorus, verse, chorus bridge/breakdown jawn, chorus/outro. Guitar tones are completely different tho sounds Vox-y on this one.
I'll agree the structure is pretty much the same, but that's as far as it goes, similarity-wise. The chord structure is completely different, and the melody of "Nerve" would never fit over this, no matter how hard you try. I understand you're not doggin' 'em. And that's perfectly fine. But, you can't say the same when virtually everything about them is different. It'd be like trying to sing "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5 over "Santeria" by Sublime. It just doesn't work, even though the structure is pretty much the same.
***** I agree. There's always that one that messes you up forever. Writing does help you cope, but until you find the one that fills in all the cracks... you're kinda broke inside, or as Parker said and I've learned to live by: "Not broke, just bent"
The Story So Far Exactly. Thank you for making the music you guys make. I liked it at first, a lot, but going through some of the hardest times of my life, I connected with the lyrics in a way I never have before. I heard in the music all the frustration, confusion, everything and it was exactly what I was feeling and that gave me hope. When I was at my lowest point, I found someone beautiful in a much lower place. Guess what I used to help her cope? Your music. She cried to almost every song and thanked me for sharing your music with her. We built a bond in our pain and filled most of the cracks together. Whenever she said she was broken, I would tell her: "Remember, not broke, just bent" Now we're both stronger than we've ever been and you guys had a part in that. Plus you put on a damn good show. I just thought I would share that with you. It's only wave points in what would be a very lengthy story, but I hope you guys know your music makes a big impact. I wear TSSF stuff with pride. Thanks again, really, and keep it up. I wish you all the best, Tyler.
This album sounds like a mix of Under Soil and What You Can't See, taking the dynamics and production from USAD, and the heavier riffy and faster parts from WYCS. This makes me very happy, super excited now.
Yeah I smoked a blunt with them by there bus but I was real drunk and probbly came acrossed as a idiot. But yeah I still like them a lot and I've have not seen them live since but I still like them all the same.
that's 3 mentions of feeling "dark blue" in songs now; this, navy blue, and nerve. I wonder if it's a recurring theme now? needless to say I'm interested. sounds fresh and different. good track
The moment when that second guitar kicks in @1:29 really makes me wish I could play guitar! This is my album of the year so far. So many great songs that I can't help but sing along and rock out to, its kinda ridiculous.
Yolo Swag And once he was satisfied after 80 repeats, he went back in never to be seen again. Rumors from Babel assert his new coming on the 19th of May in the 2015th year.
Thanks to The Story So Far, I actually know what it means and feels to feel a color. The raw emotion of the two songs posted get me excited for the new album! I'm liking the "indigo" references, maybe the color emotion will be a thing. But I love how the album art and everything is in the color indigo.
"And I wish you'd just call, and we could hash it out, I could tell you what I'm so mad about."
Got me right in the feels.
For real man.. "I never left you, this was all your choice." "I can't just sit around and wait, you're just not someone I can date." Feels are feeling feelsy dude.
Going through those feels rn.
Have u heard what the lead guitar does then?
Right in the feels
Read it as i heard it
Drunk in isolation listening to The Story So Far self titled. I'm okay.
No you’re not ❤️
Same. Glad we have TSSF....
instablaster.
Hope your still okay dude
Life brings you to those points. Many of us have succumbed to temporary means to an end - drugs, sex/relationships, and self harm whether it be physical or mental. We all need to just be easier on ourselves, in the end this too shall pass my friends ❤
"You've got what I need, you're not what I need"
God that's so true
When we look back, this will be the indigo era of TSSF
We will look back and remember how blue Parker was
Bird0fPrey Indigo, Dark Blue, album cover and art is all dark blue.
Bird0fPrey The Navy Blue era.
Bird0fPrey we all saw the sky in a darker shade of blue
Cameron Schumacher #SnyderStreet
Almost a year later and this song is still in my top 5. Anyone else still feeling indigo?
Still feeling indigo over here 🖐🏼
nah im still feeling navy blue
+omgstoptakingnames HAHA SAME ACTUALLY
+omgstoptakingnames me too lol
Well I am. How 'bout you?
I love everything TSSF has released ever.. I'm definitely buying this record.
Same feels
Brandon Ellis definitely have a good gut feeling this is gonna top usad & wyds!
***** Don't worry, you're right! It's already bought lol
Olivia Bishop It's going to be tough to top usad but I believe this has the potential to do it!
Sam R. Yes go Bolts! Our team finally looks Stanley ready.
Always a good day when your fav band puts out a new release
Caleb Donester Have to agree with you there Caleb.
Caleb Donester not always..
Caleb Donester They did an awesome job, in fact the whole album is killer :)
By the way I just covered Nerve over on my channel, would really appreciate any feedback :)
I will never fucking stop blasting this band till I die.
Using pills and flowers to sedate, find me heal me give my faith. I dont know why Parker's lyrics always get to me, I can pretty much relate to everything he sings about in this album. And it feels good knowing that there are other people out there making good music out of bad situations like these.
6 years later here i am finding this album n falling in love all over again
idk how anyone could dislike this music. the beat, lyrics, emotion, etc. mesh together so well. Thanks Parker & TSSF for repeatedly putting out the best music of the generation.
I live for this band. All of their music is such gold.
Katelyn French such gold is a good band too
@@shaolin_tcg4727 lol yes
My name is Indigo and I felt like this till I found the love of my life. Your person is out there, you won't always feel Indigo, I promise you.
still boppin this c:
Of course
Yes sirr
The bass and guitar work are so good together, and in this song it sounds like they're ascending together.
God bless this band summer is gonna be amazing.
I'm convinced this band can do no wrong...They don't have a single "bad" song, or even mediocre song...pure fucking gold...
Every song these guys make have seriously the most relatable lyrics
Because all of the songs are about the same things every time. He always just talks about girls and being sad over distance and pent up emotion. I wish he would actually mature as a lyricist because it's getting weaker and weaker with each new album and release
That's yer opinion. As a lyricist I WISH I could have half the skill Parker does with writing!
@@cortizone121 *jumpcut to Upside Down*
Sasha King beat me to it lol
Parker and The Cannons!! This is great
you idiot it's the story so far. down down play the other musicians
Idiot?!? Harsh words bro! Parker and his Cannons are word! Troll somewhere else Douche!
I'm not trolling....
You're not trolling, he needs to chill, you're right, give credit where credits do. Yet Parker does write words with the weight of cannons
Oh god, relax! I support TSSF when I buy the albums and tickets to the shows! Not just Parker!!! If I want to say Parker and The Cannons... Who Cares!! So I don't need to chill, especially when some troll calls me a IDIOT!! Go bother someone else
I am never disappointed with this band.
Love that snare. Obviously the rest is great too.
Ya Torf is a beast.
Matt Berg I just wish the drums didn’t sound so muffled
Parker's flow is so tight. He could probably put most of today's rappers to shame. The verses of this song are my favorite lyrics he has written
lol parker has most disrespect of rappers nowadays..
this song makes me cry because I relate so much to what parker is talking about and the way he words it just hits you right in the feels and the gut
I get people are indifferent about this track but I think this is one of the most refreshing tracks TSSF has put out in awhile. It's dynamic, melodic, lyrically strong and hits hard. Agreed!
+TheLateReviews Well, we got State Champs & Neck Deep which i think they are all on the same level.
bro its not fucking possible to write so many bangers
Boxcar Racer riff at the beginning.
okay i know i’m replying 5 years late but the drumming in this song has always reminded me of something Travis would play
This song is like a big hug from the band. It feels like they are defending me from someone who has hurt me. I love this band.
This album is absolutely amazing.
This band never disappoints
Navy blue is about grief, nerve is about wondering with a hint of denial, solo is about feeling angry but yet still sad hence "indigo"
A reddish blue color
Indigo is purple and blue...
Action Bastard! Red is in purple. :)
JohnnyOutlaw100 That's getting a little too specific, but I can't say you're wrong
Haha I know, I was only really humoring you. :)
Red is in purple. Still sticking to my point
the prettiest song ever
truly
This is definitely one of my new favorite songs by them.
Really love the mellow vibe this song puts off. And Nerve was pretty upbeat which is classic TSSF. Excited to see what route they go with the full album!

FEELIN INDIGOOOOOOOO
I’m feeling indigo what about you
Can't wait. I bought the 80 dollar package and I'm seeing them in June. Worth it 10 times over.
@@samsonthe2nd qqqqkskkkkkene.
they really never fuck up or make a song i dont like, this is why theyre my favorite band
Why is EVERYTHING this band puts out that best thing I have ever heard. Damn.
Love the ghost notes in the drums
I love this band and I support this band and these guys so much, my heart is aching because of how amazing this album will be
I love this band so much
THEY JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER
Parker using a color is like Sworn In using a blegh
ha
I just hate it when people complains about every TSSF album sounds the same. I'm so fed up with bands that try to evolve their sound in weird directions and try to be something they're not. TSSF are certain about their identity and that is fucking awesome. Hope they never change.
every single song they release is so good
This beats out "Nerve" by a long shot! I'm very excited to hear the rest!
They're two very different songs, comparatively. I don't think one tops out the other, but that they're both excellent in their own ways.
+Elyjah M. lol no it's not. The only difference is the melody and lyrics. Yeah it's good but sorry it's the same concept as nerve.
Brandon Badtorff, my point is still valid. They're still both great songs, and are great in their own respects. So glad I found this band last year they're right up there in my top 3 bands so ready for this album
I've been listening to this on repeat for 2 hours, still can't get enough
Probably my favorite song on this album!
i wonder if the girl who parker writes about has ever heard this stuff and took a good look into the lyrics... damn
it would be an eye opener for her for sure
she got an instagram
@lindsey.kiner
Charlie BM
Wait, all the songs aren't about one person, right??
or she would think "parker bitching like always with his stupid friends", as goid as his music is he might be a whiney dude.
life changing album for me this is gem song♠️
i wonder if parker has just bad luck with girls or if he's always whining about the same girl. He writes good stuff though
***** I agree. There's always that one that messes you up forever. Writing does help you cope, but until you find the one that fills in all the cracks... you're kinda broke inside, or as Parker said and I've learned to live by: "Not broke, just bent"

The Story So Far Good stuff love the new song
Or he does just fine with girls but knows that girls love songs about girls. Girls.
Lmao
When I first heard it, I wasn't prepared for such magnificence
This song is so emotional man, its like its vibrating with me on a spiritual level.
Been listening to this band since 2011 and I never been disappointed by them.
have been doing most of my school project alone, travelling alone and hang out at cafe alone. im a complete solo human being by now.
This album sounds like a mix of Under Soil and What You Can't See, taking the dynamics and production from USAD, and the heavier riffy and faster parts from WYCS. This makes me very happy, super excited now.
Absolutely love the ending
They always impress me. Guitar parts and all the instrumental is so tight. Not so many bands these days have this kind of things in their songs.
It’s straight fire all there songs have a meaning
happy new year, everybody.
I like the way it picks up around the second verse. i dig
saw these dudes on a half pipe about 4 years ago. still the best show I've been to.
Columbus Ohio?
Oh yeah olive house ! 5 bucks. byob show. It was so sick there is a video of it on here to.
Dylan James yeah
That was a great fucking show! It's weird to see how much has changed with the band since then.
Yeah I smoked a blunt with them by there bus but I was real drunk and probbly came acrossed as a idiot. But yeah I still like them a lot and I've have not seen them live since but I still like them all the same.

It used to be grey. "You're just a shade of grey"
"Watch all of the colors in your spectrum fade grey"
It sounds like he can't think of something else to write about.
im not trying to bring attention to me but i have a lyric in a song that has the words Dark blue and now everybodies gona think im copying lol
Ryanincambonia fucking been there
cortizone121 i hope this isn't the case
The writing is so well set up in this song oh my flapping god

The Story So Far Wouldn't it be the 2016th year? Because year 0 has to be accounted for? I love you don't hate me..
Zack Neves he means the year 2015... Which it is
Haha I know. But technically "the 2015th year" is 2014, because you have to count year 0 as a year. Seinfeld did a whole thing.
Never been readier for an album to drop than this.
this band makes my heart happy
That hot fire. Pre ordered can't wait for next week.
Such a sick song
I'll never get over this
This is so good.
Amazing as usual, guys! Can't wait to listen the full album.
Cannot wait until my preorder arrives!
Never been huge on these guys (I only know Quicksand tbh), but I got this song for free from iTunes around a month ago and I love it.
It's a great week when TSSF and FYS put out new songs
I love the rhythm of Smile, Heavy Gloom, Solo, and Nerve.
amazing record
Solid, just as excited for this release as I have been everytime!
I wonder if this album will top the others. The album sounds amazing so far, its living up to my expectations.
Indigo- the story so far.. Boney knees- real friends.. I love it
Thanks to The Story So Far, I actually know what it means and feels to feel a color. The raw emotion of the two songs posted get me excited for the new album! I'm liking the "indigo" references, maybe the color emotion will be a thing. But I love how the album art and everything is in the color indigo.
beautiful
If it weren't for TSSF I would've never known it was possible to feel colors. For that I thank you
You should listen to more songs
So Color. Such new.
the band is just too fucking good, they just keep sounding better and better with every new song
