i honestly don't understand why people complain all the time. whenever a band releases a new single with a similar sound to their previous songs, there will be fans who'll complain and say that they don't necessarily enjoy the song because they "sound the same" but if they release one that sounds completely different, there will be fans who will ALSO not necessarily enjoy it because "they've changed" and because "they're not the band they used to remember". just enjoy the music, guys. at least appreciate them for having to release new music for their fans.
Lol like they did to Title Fight. Hyperview deviates from Floral Green and Shed loads and some people can't get with it even though Hyperview is sick.
Their a kickass band who write kickass songs. This single doesn't show any...let me repeat that ANY signs of slowing that down in any way. someone up top said something along the lines of the single purposely sounding like what came before, in a way, to ease fans into the new material. What a lot of dumbasses forget is that 9 times out of 10 the rest of the album is way better and more than likely different than what we heard from the single. I've loved everything they've put out so far and i'm more than likely gonna dig this new album. Also its kinda their band and not mine, so they can do whatever the fuck they want. Someone doesn't like it? tough shit lol
JohnnyOutlaw100 i think most people complained cause hyperview was just such a shock to people cause it sounds nothing like their other stuff. i was kinda bummed at first when i heard the whole thing cause i fell in love with title fight because of shed and floral green and saw that they abandoned that whole sound. but it still is a sick record!
Hmm, personally I wouldn't say they abandoned their whole sound but vastly expanded upon their growing flirtationship with shoegaze. Something they explored on songs like 'Head in the Ceiling Fan' and 'In-between' and 'Hypnotize' and even 'Be a Toy.' We already knew Title Fight was capable of making those kinds of jangly, ambient, slower songs and they just completely embraced the shoegaze on Hyperview to brilliant result while still maintaining that punk edge that melodic sound. Instant classic. Favorite album of theirs.
JohnnyOutlaw100 very true, i just wish they could have made it a mix between shed/floral green stuff and that new shoegazey stuff. i really miss the fast upbeat stuff and neds harsh vocals.

Listened to this song once and was rather sceptical but as soon as I put it on repeat the melody was intergrated into my brain I've atleast heard it 200 times since. Such a good song these guys can seriously do no wrong. Love tssf. Anybody that thinks otherwise seriously need to reevaluate their lives.

People are gonna complain that they aren't experimenting or trying new styles but they don't have to. There's nothing quite like them and I could not be happier with this new single because it's exactly what I love about all their past music: great and relatable lyrics, catchy hook, catchy verse, catchy everything, musical as hell, angsty and powerful. im not a big fan of artists who constantly change their sound.

People will always find something to complain about. If an album sounds the same as others, people will be mad they're not branching out and they're just putting out the same stuff. On the flip side, if a band changes drastically, people get upset it's different from the stuff they used to love. Just let the band make the music they want, listen to it, and if it isn't what you want/like, deal with it and listen to something else.

Dude that's exactly what this band should be doing is releasing albums that correlate with the others, some bands do not need to "experiment" at all and TSSF is a perfect example, what could you want different from one of the best pop punk bands ever than to be releasing textbook pop punk sounding songs?
Calibur43 i think it's just more of a personal preference, since i've heard so much pop-punk over the years and i've listened to their other two albums so many times, this just wasn't much of a surprise for me. I guess it just feels like this song is playing it safe, as though they've got their audience and now they're going to just make music that doesn't deviate at all, i'll still probably listen to it a bit because it still sounds good, but I would like to hear them try and play around a bit.

If you listen carefully they continue to evolve, this wouldn't fit in on any other album or ep because they sound a little different in each one and this is like a combination of those sounds. And still new

Somehow every time this band picks up their instruments gold comes out on every song. Even on my worst days I am always made instantly happy when I listen to TSSF. This year is going to be incredible for music. ABR HASTE THE DAY, SIRENS and Sailors, The Story So Far. SO MUCH MORE.
