Our grandson loved Brooks & Dunn and we took him to see them when he was about nine or so. They put on a great show and yes they did Boot Scootin Boogy and it was great. My Maria is another great song by them .
This decade for country music was huge for country line dancing in clubs, taverns, and bars. There was a specific dance for this song. Their sound is unmistakable.
I remember learning to Boot Scoot in the 90’s. This song was so much fun! And I was at a Brooks & Dunn concert with Reba as the main headliner. When they’d come out the energy was electric, but when this song came on it was like permission to party had been given and not a single soul was sitting in their seats or even standing still. Toes were tapping, dancing in the aisles… They were a blast!
Brooks and Dunn are the absolute best!! You talked about I Believe being a tear jerker. Another group to listen to and a video that will bring on the tears...Home Free singing Go Rest High on That Mountain!
Way back when, my mom and I signed up for a line dancing class together and I'll never forget my mama (who would never set foot in a bar or "honky tonk" to actually dance) doing the Boot Scootin' Boogie. She's 85 now, but what a fun memory to have, so I always smile when I hear this song, too. ❤
I was fortunate enough to see them in concert second row in Maryland in the mid ninties. I did'nt know what to expect, but I was blown away. These boy's are Country music super stars!
Brooks & Dunn was the best concert I've ever been to and I've seen them twice. They have since retired... but if you EVER get the chance definitely DO IT!!!!
More fun country songs: Mark Chestnutt- “Bubba Shot the Jukebox” Tracy Byrd- “Watermelon Crawl” Kenny Chesney-“She Thinks My Tractors Sexy” Garth Brooks-“ Papa Loved Mama Joe Diffy- “John Deer Green” and “Third Rock From the Sun”
When this song came out people said they were a one hit wonder. They didn't know each other and we're put together to be a duo. This was a huge line dance song. They ended up being one of the biggest duos in Country music. Even a residency in Las Vegas with Reba
My hubby and I saw them at their Neon Circus tour in 2002. It was amazing. There were a TON of other artists performing before them. Then they came flying in on a hot air balloon! LOL It was awesome!
I live in Australia and I flew ov to las Vegas with my then 5 year old daughter (she's 7 now) and my friend and we watched Reba and Brooks and Dunn we got to meet them and had front row seats, anyway when this song came on Kix got my daughter and danced with her on stage she loved it.
Theres whats called line dancing here in the US. Its usually done to country music. People get in lines and everyone does the same steps. Theres a dance called Boot Scootin Boogie done to this song. So fun!
It’s a Blast! I was fortunate to be in the era when all these Country greats were playing the Dancehalls in Texas. Dancing from Thursday until Sunday morning every week.
I’ve seen them in concert and they were so great. The crowd was amazing. It was such an awesome vibe. I was 34 at the time. We used to hit the country bars and they played so much Brooks and Dunn at that time. So much fun doing the Sweetheart Shotis to their songs.❤
I was at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and saw them in concert there in the late 90’s while I was in high school. We were line dancing across the aisles during this song. It was amazing.
My 15 year old son went to his first concert, it was Brooks and Dunn, as well as Reba McIntyre. He loved the show. The music he listened to was Slipknot and other head banging noise. He did enjoy his first concert with mum and dad.
Had the great pleasure to see B&D live last month in Houston - they're a little bit older now (aren't we all😂) but they put on a fabulous show. I first saw them live in 1995. The crowd absolutely joins in to every song with their encouragement. There are a few videos online from the 2023 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo where they performed to about 70k of us. I'm so happy they're performing together again
Thank you for that Bubba. My brother Bill passed away on October 9th, this was his all time favorite song. It was his ring tone for years. This make me laugh. Thanks again. 👍🏼
I went to a Kenny Chesney concert years ago and he had Brooks and Dunn along with Big and Rich with him. Brooks and Dunn were awesome. Everyone was dancing during this song. The party started early in the afternoon and ended around 10 that night. Best concert ever.
Oh, yeah, Brooks and Dunn are a TON of fun!! When they started out, they opened for Reba McEntire. They've (Reba and BandD) toured together, off and on, for years---then they've also done a Vegas residency, several times, over the years. (They're gonna do one in December that got postponed, due to COVID.) Kix (Brooks - the one that always wears a black cowboy hat) is a practical joker---Reba said they're like little boys, and you 'bout have to knock their heads together to get them to behave. They've been to each other's houses, been on vacation together, written songs together---and when Reba's lyin', cheatin', POS husband filed for divorce, after 26 years of marriage, they introduced her to a guy they thought she'd like. They're really good buddies---like brothers and sister---and lookout for each other! Here's a song they did together: "Cowgirls Don''t Cry" ruclips.net/video/HECZbIMg9u8/видео.html One of my favorites by them is "My Maria"---you'll LOVE it; yet another side to them!! (Don't do the live version because it's too noisy, and I want you to hear Ronnie Dunn's range.) ruclips.net/video/fZSiBj4vCiY/видео.html
I took line dancing lessons.. this was a classic one we danced to.. everyone in the room moving to the beat doing the line dance. Lot's of fun. I've been to a B and D concert.. honestly the whole concert was so fun.. All over the Stage having fun,.
My favorite songs from Brooks & Dunn are That Ain’t No Way To Go; Whiskey Under the Bridge; Neon Moon; Hard Workin’ Man; She Used To Be Mine; Brand New Man; She’s Not the Cheatin’ Kind; If You See Him, If You See Her (with Reba McEntire); and of course Believe!
Good morning sir I went to a brooks and Dunn concert while l was living in Reno. They played that song , and you're right. It was fun. They had big boot statues on the stage and they danced around the boots while playing the song. It was so much fun to watch. Oh well. That was then and this is now. And now I have to get back to the real world and finish cleaning house. I'll talk to you later. Have a good day and God bless.
I used to go to this Texas themed steakhouse back when this song was huge. When this song played all the waitstaff would stop what they were doing and boot scoot. I loved it.
I love this song, this duo and love the video, and I laugh every time I see Kix duck walk behind Ronnie, he would often do that, he'd be playing around while Ronnie sings.
Fun, engaging country boogie. Check out 'Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train' by the Tractors, and 'Dumas Walker' by the Kentucky Headhunters for a couple more.
I saw them with George Strait, and between this song and all GS song, I never heard a word. Those young girls would scream. In my younger days we saw bands like Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd, there was so much dope smoking that no one could stand and scream
I saw them live !! Best concert I’ve seen !! I was in the grass section and we had so much fun ! I met Ronnie Dunn when Merle Haggard had a concert at the Ryman .. I told him their concert was better than Lynard Skinnard and he said “bull shit”… lol 😂 I told him I wasn’t shitt’n him !! Lol 😂 he got on stage and sang w Merle!! It was awesome 👏
Apparently Ronnie Dunn ( the tall, red headed drink of water, lead singer) is a bit of a jokester, which adds a lot to the ambience. I would love to go to one of their concerts, it looks like so much fun. Thank you for this reaction.
we went to a truck show in Las Vegas Brooks and Dunn was there and after the truck show me and my mom went to Travis Tritt's concert with Brooks and Dunns Director of Promotions at i think it was Cesar palace or circus circus this was like in 93/94
This was a great song to line dance to. We used to do line dancing to this song in college at every dance. It was a blast.
Cadillac Ranch by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is another classic line dance song.
Our grandson loved Brooks & Dunn and we took him to see them when he was about nine or so. They put on a great show and yes they did Boot Scootin Boogy and it was great. My Maria is another great song by them .

Ronnie Dunn has one of the best and most recognizable voices in country music. Been a huge fan going on 30 years
I was fortunate enough to see them in concert second row in Maryland in the mid ninties. I did'nt know what to expect, but I was blown away. These boy's are Country music super stars!

Saw them in concert during this tour 30+ years ago and yes it was great and so fun.
I just saw these guys in concert and of course they are older gentlemen now, but they still put on a show that would put most artists today to shame.
I did the Boot Scoot and everyone had so much fun whenever the song was played.....Miss those days.
One of my favorite concerts ever. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are extremely talented men. Catch them if you can!😊
I was at a Brooks & Dunn concert back in '01 (revealing my age here). They are by far the best stage performers I've ever seen.
100%
