She used to be mine is a song I visit at least once a month
Play something country
90’s Country music is the best
Absolutely!!
Yessssssss!!!!
Certainly isn't today's Pop Country Music
@@danmcnamara1163💯
Agreed
One of the most famous, and so much fun to do line dances!! Yes, learn it and do it y'all!!🎶🎸🎵🤠🤠
It is definitely a party at a Brooks and Dunn concert. Love them live! There is also a line dance to this song.
Brooks & Dunn are the all time selling duet in the history of music!! They’ve one literally dozens of awards. The next two videos that you need to react too is “My Maria” live & the Hillbilly Deluxe official video. Two great songs. Love your channel, keep up the good work.
Before he teamed up with Kix Brooks to form Brooks & Dunn, Ronnie Dunn wrote this for the country music group Asleep At The Wheel, who released it on their 1990 album Keepin' Me Up Nights. Brooks & Dunn released it in 1991 on their debut album Brand New Man, helping them make a huge impact on the New Country scene of the early '90s.
This song is known for its signature line dance, which was very popular in country bars. The song is about a hard-working guy who likes to go to his favorite honky-tonk bar to unwind and dance, so the song was a natural fit.
The line dance originated when a choreographer named Bill Bader noticed the title "Boot Scootin' Boogie" on the Asleep At The Wheel album and thought it might make a good dance. He came up with the choreography and started teaching the line dance in Vancouver, where it was also known as the "Vancouver Boogie." The dance spread to the States, and this became a favorite as line dancing took off. Even bars that didn't specialize in country music began offering line dancing lessons, and this was one of the top dances.
This was the fourth #1 country hit for Brooks & Dunn - all from their album Brand New Man. It was their first single to make a dent on the Hot 100.
Heck me and my Marine buddies were line dancing back in the 70's to music from Country to Disco at bars. And I learned from my Mom who ran a Honky Tonk bar in Irving, Texas, and she passed in 1971. Back then it was call the 4 Corners Dance
Boot Scootin' Boogie is just one of those up-beat and really fun honky-tonk country songs. I've loved it since the 90's!
You guys are so sweet, so open minded, and unconditionally accepting. Love ALL your reactions, we need a lot more of people with your mindset and hearts.
Peace and Blessings 🤟
This one takes me back to my country clubbing days in my young years! 😂
And they are so much fun in concert!!! 🥰
Asia and BJ, the 1990s were an incredible time for Country music. One of the best decades for that genre. You must check out more!
This live version was fun. I've seen the official video before, where there line dancers etc., but this was great. These two can make you dance & they can make you cry, like in 'Believe'. Tons of great songs.
Growing up in Texas, this was played all the time and we learned the line dance at school! Everyone knew it
I learned this dance with 10 girls back in The90’s and there is a dance to it. We used to go line dancing and. This was one of the popular ones.. look it up! Y’all will love the dance!
This is one of my favorites from Brooks and Dunn , he haw y’all!
The Waylon and Willie of the 1990s! They're AWESOME! I saw their concert and I love to dance to their music!
I love how openly sincere you guys are. Asia, when she is feeling that music, has THE most beautiful smile. Y'all keep doing what you do!
They have many awesome songs. Great reaction.
One of the best line dancing songs EVER, in my opinion-Also “Achey Breaky Heart” by Billy Rae Cyrus- 💜💙
Back in the day, the dance floor would be packed when the DJ played this big hit. Sometimes you would witness huge line dancing at clubs.
I remember learning how to line dance to this song, my younger years and this live performance was dope, BJ, they used to make up a line dance for just about every song on the radio
Cain's Ballroom. Been there. Heck I used to work 2 blocks away from it. My grandmother, my mom and my aunt all used to go to concerts there.
Just north of downtown Tulsa. I hadn't heard this one. Great reaction / review y'all.
Be safe.
Great song for the crowd or the dance floor. Timeless and fun. There is a great dance routing with it and being around for 32 years already it always feels new. Love it guys, great video.
They are GREAT IN CONCERT!!!
Love ya both great reaction!! These guys are Country with Rockbilly Sides
That would have been an amazing concert. Fun !
I loved this reaction. You could tell you guys were enjoying it. Asia's smile makes me feel happy. I am also done with chemo and been sick but waiting for scans results. I hope to be back like I never left soon. Love you guys ❤️
Congratulations I'm happy for you. My dad had colon cancer in his late 50s.
@@bobcatarizona4840 Thanks, yeah my Dad died at 50 from brain tumor. I am 52. I'm blessed to still be alive. Thank God.
Congratulations James. I am so very happy for you 🤗.
Praying healing on earth for you! Best wishes!!
This was a fun song back in the day !
Oh yeah....where hints of southern rock still thrives!!!!!
Lost track of # times I saw B&D in concert in 90s-early 2000s. They always put on one hell of a show.
You guys would love it do it learn the Bootscoot boogie. The cowboy Way.❤️ I don’t know if you guys know this. But the man’s name John ware. he was the first cowboy he was also an African-American man. First cowboy in history 😅look it up you guys will be amazed by this man.😃 you guys are awesome❤
90s country is the best!
I'm only 30 and Mexican lol, but I say 70s and 80s were best. 90s where cool too
A local bar was on the circuit for up and comers from Nashville. It was no big surprise to us, when this local group made it big world wide with this song. There are musicians and then there are Entertainers. Brooks and Dunn are entertainers.
Great song. And a great reaction. Practice that ol two step! Get those line dance moves down! Find a great place for dancing and make some memories and a new friend or two. Peace baby!
The iconic Cains Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I love that place, and some of the acts that have played there are just as iconic; Hank Williams, Tex Ritter, and Tennessee Ernie Ford, to name a few.
Yes! Doin it right. Live is the only way to See B&D.
Everything from this Concert is 🔥…please do more!
When Boot Scootin Boogie was new, there was a line dance by the same name.
About 35 years ago, I could do it.. Not so much anymore... lol
They play this on every cruise I go on and I’ve been on 31 cruises! It’s always fun!
This classic BnD song and "Watermelon Crawl" by Tracey Byrd were 2 of my daughters ( RIH💜🕯) favs when she was in elementary school.. she took line dancing classes on the days she didn't have basketball! It was sooooo cuuute!
Native Tulsan, the Cains ballroom is one of the best. Ronnie grew up here. Thanks for sharing your take.
Your reaction and this song made my day! Thanks "y'all" 😊
I was raised on classic rock growing up, never been a country music fan. Last year Brooks and Dunn were playing in Sioux Falls South Dakota, got front row tickets, and honestly, they put on one heck of a show. Definitely an awesome experience I'll never forget. You should go if you ever get the chance
The boot scootin is a two step swing. Super super fun with a strong lead. And if you wear boots while dancing to it you’ll glide on the floor.
Love the video it really showcases the musicianship of the band and Kit Brooks, along with the great vocal by Ronnie Dunn.
Neon moon is my fav. I saw them in concert this year and they still don't disappoint!
If y'all ever make up to Tulsa, you have to check out Cain's .. You will have a blast. Been there many times.
I danced to this song so much back in the day. Fun line dance song brings back fun memories.
What a classic. This came out in a part of my life where I was really into country for a bit when I was 18 or something.
This is a fun song for dancing too! Couple or line dance. Check out the recorded track to get the full feel and energy as you would at the Honky Tonk. I spent most of my 20s dancin'!! So much good stuff!!!
One of my favorites of all time. Now for a much slower and more bluesy sound, check out Ronnie Dunn, "You don't know me". Guarantee you will really like it. The man can sing anything.
Your wife has the most amazing smile while enjoying the song
Hands down the BEST duo in country music ever!!!!
Man, this version goes hard! 🤭 And I thought the album version was wild, lol.
This is some fun music. Great for line dancing. Love me some Brooks & Dunn.
When my daughter and I moved to Portland, we rented a house outside of Portland, it wasn't much of a place needed some cleaning, we put Boot Scootin Boogie on so loud and we cleaned that old place till it was sparkling!!! Thanks for the memory. Peace Love😂😂😂😂😂
Boy was that a quicky fling!!!!Ha,ha,ha...she done got "flung '...just like a frisbee!Ha,ha,ha
" Let's all goooooo down to Dumas Walker" heehee ty Kentucky Headhunters ❤️💃💃💃❤️❤️👏👏👏
Yes there's an actual dance... Learn 2 step 💃💃
I’m a lifelong resident of Tennessee, but I’ve never been a big fan of country music. However, I have always liked Brooks and Dunn. They’re just so talented and fun!! 💁🏻♀️
Cain’s Ballroom is historic! Bob Wills. Carnegie Hall of Western Swing.
Love Cains. Lots of good memories.
What a jam! And they were fantastic, Live! Great reaction, y’all!!🤓🤠
Thanks so much!!
That was actually the song that I learned how to two step to in late 1990/ 1991. I'd catch myself dancin around in the back of the shop where I worked at in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Good times people, good times! Yee haw y'all! 😂
@CLAYTON LEVELL I haven't been there in several years but I enjoyed the time that I spent there. I know it's changed since I was there!
Asia, BJ… I wonder why this song makes me think of Zach Rushing at Mamma T’s fish fry??? I think this is the very song he referred to when he got “trapped” on the dance floor 🫵😂
This was in Tulsa. I was towards the front with my daughter and hubby. We had a blast.
Always a fav.
You KNOW there was a line dance for this song. I never did learn it. lol
Great song..you have to see the line dance..Such Fun
Awesome party song, dance to this many times 👏😎👍🔥🔥🎸🎸🎤🥁🤘😆🤘
One of my favorite county songs. So much fun to dance to
Ok ya’all! Dancing’ to 90’s country music is a blast!! You need to find a club and give it a try! So much fun! You’ll smell like beer and sweat afterwards 😆
This is a good dance song back when it came out
Always have loved these guys can’t help get moving ❤
Good Lord, the dancing reminded me of the scene from Naked Gun when the guy walked up the stadium holding Jane (Priscilla Presley) at gunpoint.
My favorite songs from Brooks & Dunn are That Ain’t No Way To Go; Whiskey Under the Bridge; Neon Moon; Hard Workin’ Man; She Used To Be Mine; Brand New Man; She’s Not the Cheatin’ Kind; If You See Him, If You See Her (with Reba McEntire); and of course Believe!
I sing this while scooping the cat's litter box but I call it "Poop Scoopin' Boogie". 🤣
do-si-do.......(in square dancing, and other country dancing) a figure in which two dancers pass around each other back to back and return to their original positions.
Love Brooks & Dunn, love that song & love your reaction to it. You just can't help but smile and it makes you want to get up and go dancin'!
There is a line dance to the boot scootin' boogie so if you want to know how to boot scoot BJ, check out one of the RUclips videos that will teach you how to heal toe dosey doe. Have fun while you're at it.
It is always a good show, when you come home to the cains, and play for 1800 of your fans, you leave the multi million dollar show in the trucks, get on stage and have fun.
Music is the universal language!
I want to know who was laughing in the background when Asia said you might drop me 😂
These fellas put on one HELL of a live show!!
Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, a country music and western swing landmark. Everyone's who's anyone is C&W's played there.
Y'all would love the line dance that goes with this song.
Brooks & Dunn ... Greatest Country Duo of ALL TIME !!!
there are a lot of little hideaways in Texas from what I understand , we have quite a few here in Pa.
Country line dancing is almost the same as two steppin. If you can step, you can country line dance. Country line dance gave us the Electric Slide.
You need to react to the official video of hard working man, you'll love it ❤️
Great line dancin song at the honky tonks!
So true..let's party..we work hard..let's party as hard
One of the best concerts I ever went to!!!
Cain's Ballroom is a famous historic music venue in Tulsa Oklahoma
ZZTop was a big influence with Brooks and Dunn, and you can hear a little southern rock in their songs. " Building Bridges " with Sheryl Crow is a great song.
I was going to recommend that song for their next reaction 🤠
@@Angie-W Yeah I love it
YES,YES,YES
Get that woman a cowgirl hat and get yourself to a country bar and get some of that line dancing. You will love it. Pure Electric slide...
classic line dancing song from brooks and dunn.
I've heard this song a zillion times but this was the first time I've ever seen or heard the live version. It was absolute fire! There is something to be said about groups like this where there are so many instruments going at once, not to mention there is no auto tune. This video was just so fun to watch! Thanks for the great reaction! You guys are awesome!!
What a fantastic country band
I love y'alls introduction. Your voice is so pretty
When they were honored by other country artists a few years back, George Strait sang this song.
Pretty good honor.😉😎
Then "The Reboot" in 2018 saw Midland preform with Brooks & Dunn
You two have to get some fncy cowboy boots and find that club in your area and go "Boot Scootin Boogying". In Atlanta we have many country music dance places, one of best known "Cowboys". I'm sure you have some wherever you live, just look it up.the best country dancing near me.
This is the only country song that I would not turn down at a traffic light!
