I flew RJ about 8 years ago on an A330-200 BKK-HKG and it was an amusing flight. The flight was pretty good, but I did laugh on landing when all the Chinese tour groups stood in the aisle on taxiing and the crew came out down the aisles like riot police telling them to sit down, but were overwhelmed and had to retreat to the jumpseats. As it turned out the captain applied the brakes hard and the disobedient passengers all stumbled over like dominoes and I sat in my seat laughing.
Aaah this gave me a good laugh 😂😅
Great video Josh - wear what you like just remember the golden rule: Don't wear your airline pjs while walking through economy or whilst going through customs!
DennisBunnik Travels dam !
Yes, I made that mistake once while wearing my QR pyjamas walking through economy. Got quite a couple of stares!
It doesn't matter what you wear as long as it's decent and you are comfortable in it. That's all that matters.... Be yourself 👍
"The bad, the bed , I had only one wine " typical Josh 🙂
“I appreciate everything that goes flat.” Oh my, Josh, you just made me spill my drink.😆😅😂🤣
yes all the crews minus the manager are BKK based and they fly only to KUL and HKG rotations. RJ is the only remaining 5th freedom carrier flying KUL-BKK route so hope they'll stay to provide more options for travellers
Hi Josh
Given your paying cash or using your own FFP you should dress as you think appropriate. Me personally, I like to wear my lime green mankini with matching flip flops when flying business class. Keep up the good work Josh.
I see you've watched Borat too.
Totally agree that when paying a lot of money you should be able to wear exactly what you feel comfortable in! Travelled on BA’s new club suite the other day in tracksuit bottoms and a hoody!
Hey Josh! Another excellent review! Thanks!!
@Sebastian Quinn Say whatever you want Sebastian. Your opinion really don't mean anything!
Its perfectly fine to travel business class in shorts. Having been upgraded to first class by US Air back in the day my family & I were in jeans.😂
you can wear what you want :) but no leggings please. 😂
@GoblalTraveler.Tv
why ?! are you getting horny when you see him with leggings ...?
he is still dressed okay !
look at the german mongol
„DER HON“ that is horrible
Levon Alyanakian they better can teach how to drink champagne 🍾 😊
What is wrong with leggings? I disagree with full in yoga wear (sports bra and leggings). But a nice long T or tunic top with leggings is fine.
I use to travel with sweatpants, and Im feeling on the top of the world
@@tanzanite8908 They look ridiculous outside their intended use, for exercise.
You can definitely wear shorts - who cares. My dad travels alot for work and he always wears that sort of stuff and then changes just before he arrives.
looks like a nice big cabin to me- even the pilot thought so as he sat down behind you. Another great review, thanks Josh...
Hey Josh, you vids are always the best. Thanks for another amazing review. X🏴
Like your style. Subbed. Thanks
I wear shorts on a flight occasionally, but I draw the line at frayed cutoffs or wearing basketball shorts. Keep in mind though that in an emergency going down that slide isn't going to feel good, plus you increase your chances of severe burns in the event of a fiery evacuation.
Thanks bro for the good job. You inspired me to also start vlogging
Nice to see you again ♥️ waiting for another one!
I will be flying this plane this year in august! From London Heathrow to Amman! Can’t wait!
Love your videos! Watching from Korea!
Hey Josh, awesome review and you look comfortable and at laid back in your shorts...really...I think it is fine. Best wishes and look forward to more of your reviews:-))
loved the genuine excitement in Josh's face when he got the amenity kit!
Love all ur flight reviews. Avgeek! ☺️ im ur fan from Brunei 😍
Mini Aviator same🇧🇳🇧🇳🇧🇳
It’s ok to wear shorts in business class. It’s ok a to wear whatever you want while traveling (in my opinion). Great video❤️👍✈️
Brother, this is not the 1960s you should flight as comfortable as possible. 4 Months ago I flew front Monterrey nonstop to Seoul in business wearing a track suit. The pilots even let me take a picture in the cockpit once we landed. Greetings from México, I loved your Aeroméxico review btw.
I am from jordan and when i went To jfk new york we got upgraded to crown class (business class) bcz my dad is a platinum member i liked everything except the crown class lounge it was pretty good but now that good
Good review. I agree to wear comfortable clothing and decent when you are flying. That cabin looks spacious without the overhead bins in the middle.
Thanks Josh for your nice vlog once again. Great to see your cordial briefing of your journey with your attire. No worries of whatever you feel comfort. But I like to wear loose trousers. Keep on smile always Josh.
Nowadays you can pretty much wear what you want in Biz and First. However, when my Dad used to work for KLM 25+ years 50' 60's 70's, back then we always had to be dressed to the T in First Class (there was no Biz yet) Great video!
Great review Josh,. In my mind if you have paid for the product you should wear whatever makes you comfortable
Well love seeing u in shorts so no complains there *chuckles*
I flew RJ in the 90s on their L1011. I still remember the landing in Amman was smooth as silk.
First flew RJ in 1978 DXB-AMM and AMM-CAI on 707's in F. Very average experience, nothing to entice me back. The 460 mile AMM-CAI flight took over 2 hours (avoiding Israeli airspace). After boarding the F cabin on the AMM-CAI 707 was almost completely full. The cabin crew then came round checking boarding cards and removing those who should not be there to the economy cabin by which time it was almost empty. I also found them cheap in the sense that while other airlines offered their F class passengers free American cigarettes to smoke on board, RJ offered cheap local Jordanian cigarettes.
I flew on the L1011 LHR-AMM-DXB-AMM-LHR back in 1981 in F. (The AMM-DXB-AMM sectors may have been 707 not L1011 - can't remember). Again a very average experience nothing memorable except for the very odd experience aboard the AMM-LHR flight. I was in row 3. There was a member of the Jordanian Royal family in row 1, two burly security guards in row 2 who looked at you in a very bad way when you went to the lavatory, the crew delayed serving lunch for no apparent reason so that by the time they had finished serving the lunch there was not enough time left to show the movie and the Chateaubriand was burnt to a cinder.
Didn't try them again until the early/mid 90's when I flew DXB-AMM-(SXF)-LHR in business on the A310. Service was very good and much improved over my past experiences but the 2 X 3 X 2 seating arrangement in business on the A310 was unsatisfactory in terms of seat width. Landing at SXF was an experience seeing all the now unused Interflug aircraft sitting there abandoned. Unlike in earlier years, the female cabin crew were no longer Jordanian but Asian although the male cabin crew were still Jordanian. The airline was also security obsessed at this time with a pat down search by male Jordanian security guards on boarding the aircraft at DXB inside the aircraft door. These guards I believe never ever left the aircraft but had remained on board to guard it all night during the night stop in DXB. They were however quite friendly although they carried strange black briefcases. I assumed these briefcases contained a weapon although for all I know may have contained their sandwiches and toothbrushes for the night stop aboard the aircraft!
josh chill i waiting for your new updated, finally you updated the vidoes, so i like this vidoes. good job josh chill i follows you thanks you.
Always stay comfy on the plane! That's what I say! I agree with you, Josh - You paid for the ticket and you can wear whatever you want.
I flew first class from Austin to Heathrow a few years ago, and I wore shorts and a polo shirts with trainers. I agree, if we spend the money then we are entitled to travel comfortably!
Nice video, it's was been really great watching your videos, yes you need to wear, what comforts you. 😁
What do you do with all those amenities kits that you collect every year?
Bro your video are great 👌👌
Interesting review, good to see the MH Lounge , I spent 13 hours there last month overnight , they have a great Nap room
Awesome video Josh. I personally think that traveling comphotebly on a flight is very important.
The Royal Jordanian 787 cabin is amazing so clean and spacious. However, you are right to say that there is not much privacy between seats.
I'm agreeing with you Mr Josh. I also feel comfortable in shorts when I need to travel for hours.
Do you recommend it? I’m going to Amman in 25 days in the same airline
I completely agree with you. I also travel with short too because the airlines provides a blanket. 😎
Shorts are perfectly okay. I've worn a track suit in business class several times between MSP and NRT. Like you said, these tickets aren't cheap and you want to be comfortable.
Nice to see you Jordanian airline its my first time to fly on coming dec
Great vid Josh. Just travel as comfy als u want, and when that is in shorts, thats fine!
Hello Josh! Nice video again. I think shorts are really ok. Because for your healthy you should fly really comfortable.👍
Yes, I live in Thailand, only have 2 pairs of long trousers, maybe 12 of short, so I wear short all of the time, also when flying.
Dude , surprisingly I got a complimentary upgrade to business class with British airways at the boarding gate and I was in shorts t shirt!!
Yea! It’s fine I always go on shorts just be comfortable and don’t think what other people think about how you look BE COMFORTABLE
I'm all in favor of Josh wearing shorts because he looks super cute in them and the world needs as much cuteness as it can get!
Short is absolutely fine in business class. Whatever one wants to be comfortable especially during long flights.
Funny watching the MAS Lounge as I was in there yesterday ( Saturday 24th August) for a Malaysia Airlines flight back to Melbourne and I thought the lounge was pretty good !! The problem with SOME airlines is the dress code in the lounge so if you wear shorts in some lounges they may say you don't meet their dress code ! On long haul flights I usually wear long trousers and if there are no pyjamas on offer I pack a daggy pair of track suit pants in my carry on and change into them for the flight and then just wear them when I land and go through the normal arrival procedures still wearing them. Once on board no one gives a stuff as to what you are wearing !! Now Josh you bring up a most excellent point. My flights with Malaysia Airlines were on the A 330 -300 in Business Class. Seats are great BUT the seat controls were near my left elbow and more near my left thigh ! I found the seat moving into lie flat mode when the tray table was down...oops ! I worked out my left elbow was causing the problem...but also when the seat was reclined the other controls would start the massage function or try to put me in the recline position because I must have somehow touched it with my thigh!! You are not alone my friend!! I think the 2 x 2 config would put me off given the divider is so small ! More please!!
Your review is mostly positive so why the negative title???!!!!
I wouldn't wear shorts or flip flops just because in the case of an emergency and you have to go out on slides, your skin will get completely burned from friction. And you want to wear shoes to protect yourself from hot debris. Better be safe than sorry. Don't really care about what you wear on a plane for social reasons as long as you are not naked.
Very similar to the Air Italy business class. Luckily nobody was sitting next to me for 11 hours. Yes it looks my go travel business in a decent pair of shorts.
When I'm travelling I always wear what I love and comfortable... 👍😊
Call me old school BUT I tend to dress with a long sleeved shirt and long pants when I fly. Why? Well I don’t know what the cabin temperature may be and should an evacuation be necessary 😮 I’m prepared. I find it distasteful that fellow travelers in Business Class come dressed in shorts and flip flops. We’re not going to the beach, we’re traveling. I recently was on a Swiss flight ZRH/LAX and the 30 something guy across the aisle was in flip flops, shorts, and his baseball cap was worn for the entire flight. First impressions count. Dress comfortably but appropriately. That’s just my opinion.
As far as cabin goes ... looks spacious but clearly the 2-2-2 configuration is dated. Those of us who travel Business Class frequently really expect 1-2-1 configuration now. As always, Josh, your presentations are well done and authentic. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻
G B ... well call me strange too because I always say hello to the F/A standing at door. And good bye/thank you when I leave. The F/A is NOT my servant. The F/A’s primary job as far as I’m concerned is to GET ME OUT SAFELY if need be. All the rest is gravy.
My first impression was, lovely, spacious feeling cabin. Bright and airy and very stylish product👍.
Definitely on my bucket list.
BTW you look exceptional in shorts, smart casual and you have the physique to pull them off with style! Coming from KL going to BKK smart shorts are more than appropriate travel wear.☺
if I had the chance I would definitely fly royal Jordanian, the food looked amazing
Josh, what's the different between cabin manager and purser? Thank you 11:18
Al Bee no difference
I would never wear shorts in an airplane. They have aircondition, it's simply too cold for me. And you are heading to Bangkok, where they have this dress code. If you wear shorts in Bangkok, you are immediately spotted as a tourist and all kinds of vendors, even taxi drivers are taking advantage of you. Btw, that flight was a bargain, $200 for business class.
Hey Josh.
Same as me.. whenever I travel using Airplane
I always wear a comfortable outfit and mostly Shorts.
Even in Business and I dont care..
Because sometimes we need to be very comfortable for a long flight...
Hahaha...
travel in what you feel comfy, I've flown business class in tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie before
Very informative, thanks! You should do Finnair A350 from BKK, or HKT/KBV in winter, they seem to be busy in Thailand.
How did you get the ticket for 200$ ? I want to do that also . Btw nice video . Well done 👍
Royal Jordanian economy wasn’t bad at the last I flew with them for the Hajj in Saudi Arabia. My journey was a transit from London - Amman - Amman - Jeddah. Everything was good from the cabin crew , the food, the service etc. The toilets surprisingly maintained cleanliness in spite of the fact that the flight was full to capacity.
Of course it is acceptable to travel in business class wearing shorts! Nothing wrong with this at all :) Your comfort is paramount at all times!
Records Travels Especially if flying between hot countries.
It's too a short haul flight to determine if it was great business class. Fly from Kuala Lumpur to Amman next time. Long Haul is where Business really shines.
I never travel in shorts on international flights. Good video
josh my man... put on what ever you wish yoo.... I personally like being comfortable on long flights....
Shorts is cool.i feel that comfort is essential when traveling.
Heck yah. Put on whatever you like man.
i flew this flight with rj on economy class from kl to Bangkok
I agree. Wear what you want. I do. I also agree that RJ is an average product. For short flights they are fine but I avoid them on long haul flights.
The best airline RUclipsr!
It is nice to wear properly when you travel in any class. But your attire is decent I reckon. Onece I was on Singapore airlines flight from Colombo to Melbourne via Singapore. This Australian cricket team was on the flight and most of them changed to boxer shorts!!
It is a treat to fly in business/first class. When I am able to swing it. I will wear a collared shirt, khakis and leather sneakers. I think service is better when you are dressed casual. But for me never jeans or shorts. But too each their own.
Hi Josh, I will fly with Royal Jordanian from Montreal to Amman. For now, I can tell you that Online Check-in can't be done ( I'm 10 hrs before the departure time @ 21:55 Montreal Time )
wow the cabin looks huge ^^
I say wear what you want, be comfortable when you travel! OK so I don’t like the 2-2-2 configuration either, it’s not very private. I don’t know if I would spend the money on that business class for a two hour flight. Thanks for another great review Josh!❤️👍✈️
I always enjoy the shocked faces when I as a 24 year old enter business class with shorts and hoodie :D
I’ve been enjoying your videos and I wanted to know how you get your flights only for $200 usually when I go it cost £1000 Above
And that’s only economy
Agree with you Josh. I will also travel comfortably as long as our pocket permits in terms of budget.
BTW on this short haul 5th freedom route flight I will say the inflight meal is underwhelming. I had done KLM flight from CGK - KUL last year, the inflight meal are really good. Same goes with the drinks/beverages.
We really can compare this one 🍎 to 🍏. KLM won by a mile.
wow! i didnt know RJ flies the KUL-BKK route.Biz class at less than US$200 is cheap! its 2019 and its asia.i use tees and cargo pants all the time i fly in asia.tnx for this and yr other great vids!!
Flying in business or first most times I dress up in a shirt and pants, after take off I get a sense of the temperature onboard, if its on the warmer side I change to shorts, if not, I stay as I am. If I'm on a longhaul with blankets provided and looking to rest, definetly shorts.
You touched the controls with your elbow that why your seat moved! Excellent Royal Jordanian for 2 hr flight more than any EU Airlines
Flying in October ORD to AMM. Thanks for your review- I will have seat 3K (yours). Wife in next seat. The QUESTION: can you climb over the sleeping 3H, is there room?
My advice? Dress for success. I flew RJ many a time from 2005-10 for work in Jordan. Back then, I think they were the only airline with the totally flat seat. The seats were wider and very comfortable. Yes we did receive the amenity kit, pajamas, slippers, and all the bedding. In addition, you also got a nice piece of Jordanian pottery. The flight crew were all Jordanian women. They served food and drinks all during the flight. I'm sure I got off the plane 5lbs heavier. I loved flying RJ. I felt special.
I was watching a review on Royal Jordnanian which had no service and finally I saw this video. 🙂 But Josh good job on good contents of your channel :)
@Levon Alyanakian Haha yeah. I was looking through his videos cos it was recommended.
I just hope airlines provide vegetarian options too for such flights. I mean it's a trend these days? If they would offer a veg and non veg that would be great. What do you think ?
@Levon Alyanakian Thanks for watching my video too! :)
Awesome ! Lots of love 💚 INDIA 🇮🇳
4:54 why the cabin lights have not been dimmed during takeoff
"The cabin manager is clearly a Jordanian, however, the rest of the crew are from Asia"
As if Jordan was in Europe!! 😂
well it's in commonly so called "Middle East", not really perceived as Asia by many..
That's surprising, it understable for Emirates and Qatar as they are rich and do not have a lot of local man power. But Jordan is poor and have a high rate of jobless
@@Alex_BF the term "middle east" is political and it's not geographically accurate
@@Almadani94 I know, it's political and cultural. That's why I said that it is "commonly" known as such. Yet the majority of people understand what one is talking about...
Right hahah
Well its very unique and conformtable to travel in shorts...its like if i ever see someone wearing shorts in business class that sure would be JOSH.
Royal Jordanian is the best I like it so much I’d definitely choose it ❤️❤️
I agree with you josh, I want to be comfortable while flying. The airlines dont care as long as you just pay for that upgrade. Btw, Ive seen guys in suits in economy class, its no big deal.
Wear whatever feels comfortable! I personally prefer shorts as well as it is more comfortable than long pants or jeans, just maybe no slippers and singlets hahaha! Another great review!
Nice
