Their dad could of at least cut the excess rubber off 🤦🏻♀️
In the book the words of the teacher (however harsh he was) DID stop the teasing of the other students (not that I’m implying that any other harsh punishments the teacher did was right)
best scene in the movie.

You dont see the Lord hanging on the cross sporting shoes. Idk why that sounded so funny to me the qst time i saw this movie
