This film explores the concepts of certain circumstances that causes PTSD such as taking someone’s life based on peer pressure; being pressured to do petty crimes just to look and feel cool about it. But then reality hits, and you start to become panicky and have crazy flashbacks of what just happened as you are fully regretting it. You start to have nightmares and have hallucinations… One mistake is too many, that’s why it’s important to be yourself and watch who you roll with. Because your input of behaviours and doing will determine your outcome of your whole life. So stay blessed 👏🏾🙌🏾 🥲. What a great film.
I appreciate that indie films from the UK are un-glamorising that life. They're always seen as villains, as they should. Regardless of how they got there, actions matter and I can't express through text the amount of respect I have for filmmakers making that decision to strip their power in movies. PTSD shows the message throughout and the mental illnesses, trauma and loss that occurs from it. It's time for the young GMs in the UK to see sense now. As civilians, we're getting tired of it and its showing in our artforms.
A similar story to mine. Except not knife related, an I wasn’t the killer. But over a decade on from that awful night. I live with ptsd every day. I’ve only just started to seek help. This really touched me 😢brilliant film

How can a man chase a yout that stabbed him with his T-shirt fine with no hole or blood then when he stopped running all of a sudden there’s blood dripping out?
We sat on this incredible piece of heART Work for 4 years!!!! I am so immensely proud of every young person, all the cast all the extra that went above and beyond to make this purposeful, impactful and beautiful but cruel film. This is is the magic that is created when you give young people the opportunity to play and hold a space where they feel safe, of value and access to unrestricted funding to make something that important to them. It was an absolute pleasure to be given the opportunity to work on and see the magic unfold and i so grateful to everyone that put in the graft shared their gifts and bared their soul on this project. This is a project that is close to my heart and the reason I do what I do. This a film that can be a create change, change of narrative, change of perspective and change a life but that's only if we do more than but watch it!!! We need to talk about what it brings up, hold spaces where our young feel safe to share and access services that MoVe with LoVe in the same way we do at Fully Focused. When you MoVe with LoVe you Spread LoVe and learn to LoVe self and have LoVe for others xxx

Just cause you do a background check doesn’t always mean you’ll find someone a lot of people don’t get catch or people who do have a past are completely different people now. Never judge a book by a cover or their past. It’s what they decided to do in the present and future not the past. I have a past but I’m not that same person. People change. The fact I’m saying that is I was raised in the foster care and my foster mom had a clean record but she was the most evil toxic person in the world. A lot of bad people have a good front convincing people they are good people but behind close door they aren’t.

I think that scene probably reflects the reality in such situations to be fair. Shock, panic, adrenalin, fear, confusion - a lot is going on in such moments. Yes, the rational response would be to call an ambulance and do some rudimentary first aid (if you know any!), and you'd hope someone would; but it's an irrational, unplanned for, reactive moment. Makes a huge difference and highlights the unpreparedness of young people and many adults in such situations.
