All of these programs are based on V.A. and SSI, SSDI. What about the people who are Federally Retired and V.A. ?? My husband was in Navy for ten years and we married after he was discharged. He passed away in 1995 . I’m now 73, are there any V.A. gains for me? We were married for 28 years and I never remarried. We both worked for and retired from the USPS him, 33 yrs. Me with 29 yrs. And because of the double dipping rule ( I don’t understand), I don’t receive SSI. !! Now what??
I would check with your county Veterans Service Officer, but I don't believe you would not get any benefits unless he was service-connected and died from it when you guys were married, or, he was receiving a wartime pension when he died while you guys were married. But don't take my word for it, call a VSO and meet with them to make sure.

Understated comment, I talked with a veterans advocate clinic.
DOES "TDIU" FOR SEVICE-CONNECTION DISABILITY/ PTSD" EVER EXPIRER BECAUSE OF AGE ETC.
Can you get 100% and still be employable? And if so is there a cap on how much you can make?
Hello Brittney,
You may find the information you're looking for on our blog post about 100% VA Disability here: cck-law.com/blog/100-percent-va-disability-working/#:~:text=With%20the%20100%20percent%20combined,then%20you%20may%20do%20so.
Did they discontinued Form 21-4140 ?
What happens when a veteran who is TDIU reaches age 65 , do they take your !00% away ?
@Angelo Torres, generally speaking, the determination of eligibility is not based on age.
I am 100% IU This is what I found - End VA’s Individual Unemployability Payments to Disabled Veterans at the Full Retirement Age for Social Security - link to article for more information
www.cbo.gov/budget-options/2018/54749.
Thank
@@stevenstyles2363 I'm not going to look at this article, but if you are saying TDIU will end when SSAN starts, that is not true. Spouse did not get TDIU until age 71. Age is not a factor. He was 90% and this was just the route taken to finalize the 100%.
@@cashonly6117 There was a discussion about this in Congress Not long ago, they were talking about how this would effect older Veterans. The link is to the Congressional Budget Office where they lay out process.
I am at 100per cent disabled with ischemic heart disease, I am I00 per cent disabled with ischemic heart disease can I get tdiu.
No.You already have a 100% rating
I get SSDI and just won my claim and receive 70% VA Disability. So I could file for the TDIU?
Yep!
Yes. I also receive SSDI and am 70% TDIU T&P
Do this now! I am 70&% TDUI and P&T. You should be approved.
I just got 100% unemployability, does my family receive insurance?
It's called a VA Awards letter
The VA no longer need form 2140 for TDIU. The New procedures is that the VA uses the IRS to determine yearly Taxable Income for Veterans rated as TDIU. Again, disabled Veterans do not have to fill out form 2140.
Really? I didn’t even know that
All of these programs are based on V.A. and SSI, SSDI.
If your husband had a service connected disability then there are things you can qualify for. Call your local VA Regional Office.
Thank you for your reply’s. He did have a ear blow out while diving in Navy! But I haven’t a clue if he claimed it!
What if you work in a VA hospital
Do one about DBQ being done away with
Jay K I haven’t done any such thing.
Again a few screw it up for the legitimate ones
Thanks for your comment, Jesse. We have a plan in the works to put out a new video about the DBQs, stay tuned!
No more dbqs is bullshit....means nothing. VA will still accept dbqs. You dont need to do a video. I just told you, for free. Finding a doc to fill them put is the rub. Stupid too. Docs write about what the vet tells them. Duh. Many scammer docs out there too wanting $2,000.00 to read your file first, then charge you to fill out a dbq. Scumbags. You fill it out and take it to your C&P if VA sets one and say-- here, these are my symptoms. Who knows better than you your demons?
What is DBQ?
Thanks for all the information. When filling out the 21-8940, and it asks for the last 5 years of work, what if you haven't worked other than part time self employment? Do you just list that, or should you go back further than 5 years? Thx
It's 5 years from the last date that you were employed
Dental care under TDIU- when can care be denied.
I have 70years, can I get It.TDIU
At age 70? Yes.
If you are given TDIU can you still submit claims for a rating on other secondary conditions?
Yes but be careful
Yes, apply for increases as well, a combined 100% disability compensation is better then tui
Question? I recently had a heart attack and had two stents placed In my circumflex artery totaling 50 mm.i was station in QuiNhon Vietnam in 1968 within walking distance of Phu Cat airfield one of three bases that flew agent orange . I believe this is a presumptive condition. I am currently in cardio rehab .can I make a claim and if so what claims should I apply for and thru who the Va,VA, or a law firm ?
Thanks
👍🏾
You seem to avoid self employed under the protected work environment why was that ?!
Decided not to file TDIU, can’t handle another C&P exam.
It's a form, not a C&P. Ask a VSO for help.
Please. Giving up isn't in anybody's interest.
Tom t are you 100per cent disabled
